Beatboxing is a form of vocal percussion primarily involving the art of mimicking drum machines, using one’s mouth, lips, tongue, and voice. It may also involve vocal imitation of turntablism, and other musical instruments. - Wikipedia
Now Wikipedia has taught us what beatbox means, A Beatboxer is a person that involves in beatboxing art (smile). Am glad to Tell you that we’ve bunch of Talented beatboxers in Nigeria. These guys are really talented of course am one of them. (yaw) before. I talk about some of the top beatboxers in Nigeria, let us talk about Beatbox Nigeria or Beatbox9ja.
Beatbox Nigeria is a community for Nigeria Beatboxers founded in the year 2018 by promiz Agbo one of the best beatboxer in Nigeria. This community was founded alongside by other beatboxers like Denalo formally known as deathrow. As at now this community is still very small due to the fact that many beatboxers across the four conners of Nigeria don’t know about it yet. The community can boast of close to 30 Beatboxers who are all Nigerian.
Aim of Beatbox Nigeria
- Beatbox Nigeria aim is to gather all beatboxer In Nigeria in one place and get them set for future World beatbox battles
- To develop and bring out uniqueness inside individuals; we teach ourselves we’re one family
- To promote creativity, musicality and create space for beatbox talent in Nigeria
Requirements for Joining Beatbox Nigeria
- You must be a citizen of Nigeria
- You must be a beatboxer or a potential beatboxer with your own unique style
- You must be ready to learn, teach and battle other beatboxers
