Yet when I started to perform, I was soon feeling the pressure
Were my lyrics good enough? I became a second-guesser
I would always wonder how they did because I would stand stiff
But then I felt the touch of the cold mic and heard guitar riffs

The relationship of me and music has become entangled
But I know I’ve loved hip-hop ever since I was only a day old
