What the hell is going on here,the familiar voice asked,,,I turned to see who it was,lo and behold,it was Ehi...
So this is what you do in your office right,she asked in anger,,by this time,I had stood up trying to walk towards her....
Honey it's nothing,it was just a friendly and harmlessssssw, really, really, Ehi interrupted me in anger,I saw you in the arms of another woman,and you say it was harmless,she asked...
I believe you must be Ehi,hi, AD has said so much about you,I am Chidera, AD's office mate, whatever thing you think you saw, please nothing like that,chi tried to explain....
So Chidera,is this how you go seducing men in offices,Ehi asked...
Ehi stop it,stop it now, Chi was only being a friend,I was worried sick about your whereabouts,non of your friends knew where you went,and iye's phone wasn't connecting,I wanted to know if you went to Benin,I was going mad,I needed a friend to lean on,and Chi was that friend,so please,enough of your negative assumptions, I said...
She gave a long hiss and angrily walked out..Chi am so sorry about that, please,I said.oh it's nothing AD,I understand her,you should go make her understand and clarify things, Chi said..
Thanks alot chi,I said and ran after Ehi,she was already out of the company's premises,I entered my car and drove after her,, getting to her,I stopped so she could enter the car,but she refused,I had to alight from the car and went to her, Ehi, please enough of this,get in the car and let's go,I said,she reluctantly entered and I drove home to my place....
What's going on between you and that lady she asked again,,,oh my God, Ehi nothing,why would I possibly be with another woman,you know how much I love you, Chidera is just a colleague turned friend,I explained...
Where have you been honey,I was going mad looking for you,I asked..
Since you wouldn't allow me have peace over the marriage issue,I had to go to Benin to inform iye that we shall becoming for our Introduction,she said....
I smiled beautifully,oh my darling,I hugged her,,so how did it go,I asked her,well iye said when we are ready we should let her know,we should pick a date and she would inform my father's kinsman,she said...
Okay,so what are we waiting for, let's pick a date for our Introduction immediately,we sat down, brought a calendar and choosed a date for the last Saturday of the very Month, which was august....
I have been trying to call iye for days,and her number hasn't been connecting,I said...
Oh yes,her phone is bad,she replied..

We were able to reach iye,I sent money to her for the necessary preparation...
I went with Stan , Ken and a distant uncle,who took me time to convince,it really hurt me so much that my mother and sister weren't in attendance,it was a success,and we choosed October for the marriage proper....
When our card was out,I went home to see if I could change mother's heart...The gate keeper at first didn't want me in,cos according to him,mother had given orders not to let me in.
Getting to the living room,I saw mother going through a magazine...
Goodday mother,I greeted,but she didn't answer me, mother,I have come to inform you that my wedding is in a month, please mother I would be very happy to have you by my side for my big day, please mother,I pleaded,still she didn't say a word...
I went down on my knees but she didn't even look at me,she stood up and went upstairs....
Haven waited for hours and she didn't show up,I left the card on the center table and left...
Our traditional wedding was a success,it was held in Benin,at Ehi uncle's compound since her father was late, everything went fine.we travelled back to Lagos where our wedding would be done in a week's time,iye and Osas came to Lagos few days to the wedding,to celebrate with us...
deep down my heart I wished my sister and mother were around to celebrate with me,but of course that isn't possible,
The planning and everything was in order,the whole wedding preparation had greatly affected my account balance, nonetheless,I was happy Ehi was going to be mine finally...
The wedding day came and I had butterflies in my belly,the joy of been joined in holy matrimony to the one you love...I was so happy,I had called her over and over,as if I was sacred she wasn't going to show up...
Ken and Stan were at my place, they came a day to, Stan was my best man,ken was among the groom's men,we had dressed up for the day,you look so good man,ken said.
We arrived the church venue,and there were so many people,we were waiting for Ehi,the bride....
The wedding was for 9am,it was 9:35am,and Ehi was yet to arrive the church,I was getting scared and worried,the officiating ministers were already asking me where my bride was,I couldn't give an answer,to make matters worse,she wasn't picking up,,,I had to call iye,and she explained they were on their way but had a bad tire that was been replaced.....
At about 9:50am, thankfully the bride arrived.. behold my queen,she was looking so beautiful, infact the most beautiful bride I had seen in all my life,,indeed I was lucky to have her,I said to myself....
The officiating minister began,and as usual,he asked the one vital question usually asked during weddings...
Is there anyone here who has a reason why these two should not be joined in marriage,speak now or forever hold your peace,,I shall be counting from 1_10,after which,this marriage shall be sealed....
So my heart started beating fast,I didn't know if it was just me,or couple usually feel that way when that question is asked...
1,2,3,4 the minister had started counting,I was just eager for him to get to 10.
5,6,7,8.......the minister continued,just them somebody walked in,Ehi was shocked,and it was written all over her......
