I enrolled her for the joint admissions and matriculation board exams and she studied so hard for it,I did the best I could to put her through the subjects I know,she also enrolled In a lecture house to help her prepare effectively...
Soon the day for the exam came and she did the best she could,she also wrote every other necessary exams and thankfully she was given admission to study business administration....
She was very happy,I was too,the smile on her face was all I wanted....
Iye called to congratulate her,and she also showered me with prayers...I was happy I was able to bring smiles on both their faces...
We started the clearance and admission process, thankfully it was thesame university as me,so it made it alot easier for her,I was the one doing most of all the errands and what have you,,I was already in my three hundred level when she came in to school.
I made sure she was fine and well settled,we three, myself, Stan and her, drive to school to every morning in my car...
I know her free period and call her at intervals to check up on her,and sometimes we have lunch together in the school's canteen..
Somehow and surprising too,she became a very popular student,most people know her,she was always with companies both male and female....
Your babe don dey turn miss popular for school ohhh, she's always with people around her, Stan had said once,,I thought I was the only one noticing,I had said,well am happy she's settled with ease, that shouldn't be a bother,I said....
We had finished our first semester,and had resumed the second semester,when she told me she would like to move out,and rent an apartment closer to school,as a matter of fact she had seen one already,,,I was so shocked,,,but Ehi why do you want to leave,has Stan or I offended you in any way,I had asked,oh no AD,I just want to be very close to school,I want to always Walk in and out of school,she had said,,have you discussed this with iye,,I asked her,oh yes,I have,she replied.....
So how much is the place,so I can give you the money,I had asked her,oh no,I don't need to pay,a friend's sister was living there,she was given scholarship to study abroad so she had to leave,I am going to stay for the remaining months,it has already been paid,she said...
Wooww,are you sure about this,I asked her...oh yes AD,I am,she replied...
I figured she needed her privacy,a place of her own,I understood her and saw things from her angle, leaving with two guys who aren't related by blood to her was no joke,,
No problem, but I shall take you there myself,I want to be sure you are safe,I said....no problem sir,she said smiling....
That weekend she told me she was ready to go,her bags were packed,and I helped her take them to the truck of the car,I drove with her direction to the place....the house was a conducive one room self contain,it was very nice and spacious.....
It's a nice place you got here,I said, thanks AD,she had replied...
But are you telling me a friend allowed you stay in a place as nice as this,with bed,a chair and even a TV for free, without paying a kobo,I had asked surprised at the goodness of the person...
Yes ohh, it's all free,he said I should move in without payment,even when I insisted I should pay something,he refused vehemently,she said ...
Oh it's a he,I asked her, yes,,she said smiling,,,I felt this sharp pain in my chest immediately, could it be what I am thinking,,oh God I am doomed,I said,I didn't even know my face had betrayed me,I was looking so broken...
Come on AD,don't do that, I'd always cone home, especially weekends,I Know you guy's would miss my cooking, especially Stan who's a foodie,but not to worry,I shall always come and make good meals for you every weekend,she said . I managed to smile...
I got home that day and placed a call to iye,to inform her of the latest development...
My son, she told me about the said boy,she said he has been asking her out since the last semester according to her,I didn't really agree to her leaving your place,but she said it is closer to the school and all that,hello,hello AD are you there,she asked since i wasn't talking...
Yes ma,I am here,I managed to speak,,, please ohh, she's still your sister and under your care ohhh, she said finally and hung up...
It was as if my whole life was crumbling right before me,I was shaking,I sat on the floor of the living room lost in thought....
Oh I have failed myself,I am doomed,a woman I cherish so much has slipped through my fingers because of my delay,oh how I wished I had spoken up,how I wish I was open to her about my intentions,oh my God,I had so many how I wish going through my head that I didn't even realized Stan and Ken were home, they had called me repeatedly but I didn't answer hence ken had to hit me...

AD, what's going on,is everything well at home, Stan inquired concerned...

Come on man,you are making us scared, what's going on,ken asked....
I managed to explain to them that Ehi had moved out to an apartment given to her by an admirer,if not her lover already,and that the mother was even aware....
This is serious,but I told you,I told you to make your intentions know to her,but you said you were waiting for the right time,you even had the opportunity of telling her mother your true intentions towards her daughter,but you told her she was like a sister to you,well brothers do not date sisters,you have made her see you too like a brother,, Stan said....

Day's had gone by but my life was not thesame with Ehi,the house wasn't thesame without her,I missed her so much....
I was always calling to check up on her and sometimes we see in school,but I was missing her so much.....
My life was a mess,I even didn't know I loved her that much,I was only praying for one more opportunity,just one more opportunity to tell her how I really feel about her,but of course,if wishes were horses....
One weekend,I decided to pay a surprise visit to Ehi,I hadn't gone to her place since she moved out,I wasn't in my right frame of mind because of the whole situation,so I didn't drive,I went with a taxi cab and alighted few houses away from hers,I needed to get myself together before I get to her...
Getting to her house,I was about knocking when I heard her talking with someone....
Ehi, I'd do everything to make this work,I really will, please,,the voice said..
Come on,you know when it comes to love,I feel the same,I really do, but am scared of what the society will say,that iiiiiiii,the society wouldn't know, it's just going to be between you and I,moreover the world has moved pass that time,now your happiness is all that matters....the voice said...
That voice is certainly one I know,I knocked at the door,Ehi came to open,she was surprised to see me,and I couldn't believe who was with her.....
