Thankfully I was done with service,and back to Lagos for Ehi,by this time she was in her finals,mother wanted me back in our home town,but I wasn't ready to go home yet, because going home would mean so much responsibility,I would have to step in my father's shoe,and that I wasn't ready...
My love for Ehi was growing bigger and stronger by the day,she was my everything and My Treasure.....
Ehi was done with school,and she was waiting for NYSC,one weekend,we were home together when we had a knock at the door,I decided to go get it,and I was shocked to see my mother at the door...
Mother,you didn't tell me you were coming,I said..
Well since you have refused to come back home I had to come see you,and am I not welcomed here,she asked sarcastically....

I knew it was going to be like this,mother would never accept another tribe for a wife for me, that's why I haven't been able to take Ehi home to see her,but one thing was certain,I am not leaving Ehi no matter what.....
Ehi came to tell us that food was ready,mother gave her that disgusting look and sluggishly walked to the dinner,and I followed.....
It was a plate of Jollof rice and chicken,she was dishing the food in our plates when mom started....
My dear,how much do you love my son,mother asked Ehi,very much ma, he's my guardian angel,, Ehi said smiling,I smiled too..
And by guardian angel you mean, mother asked again,at this point,I was getting pissed...
Well ma, he's one God brought specially to my life to be my helper and strength,if not for him,I wonder what life would have been,I am eternally grateful for all he's done for me, Ehi replied....

Well young lady,there is no need beating about the bush,you see this thing you have with my son,am sorry it won't work,he has so much responsibility on his shoulder,and trust me,you do not fit in mother said,,,mother enough of all these,stop it..
Ehi dropped the plate of food in her hand,rushed into the bedroom,took her bag and walked out, I was about running after her,when mother stopped me..

Mother why are doing this,why..I asked in pain...
I should be asking you why you have decided to bring shame and ridicule to your father's name,have you forgotten who you are, Incase you have forgotten young man,you would be disinherited if you marry from another tribe and you know that,and that lady,I doubt if she loves you sincerely..
I left mom and ran after Ehi, getting out,I couldn't find her....
