Chapter 71
“I’m pregnant.” She said without blinking twice.
“What did you just say?”
“I’m pregnant and you’re responsible.” She rolled her eyes.
“How’s that possible?” Gray asked.
“It’s possible because I’m a woman. You don’t believe me? Here!” She threw the pregnancy tests results at him.
Gray took it with trembling hands and read the contents. His eyes widened and he still couldn’t believe it.
“Are you sure the test was carried out well? Are you sure the doctor didn’t make a mistake?” Gray asked.
“What mistake are you blabbing about? You got me pregnant and this is all you can say? You were the one who asked me to keep this a secret, now it has developed to Pregnancy.” She started crying.
Gray couldn’t even tell her to stop. It felt like a sharp knlfe has pierced through his heart.
“This isn’t right? How did all these happen? How did my life become like this?” He asks himself.
“Stop soliloquizing and let’s think of a way out. I’m ab©rting this child.” She said.
“No! Don’t you dare do that. Do you want to ruin my life? Don’t you know how dangerous an ab©rtion is?” Gray yelled at her.
“Then, what do you suggest I do? I can’t keep a child that is a product of rappe. It reminds me of the pains I went through.” She started crying again.
“Stop crying already. You can’t kll that baby in your womb.”
“Then, you’ll have to take responsibility for it and take care of us.” She said.
Gray sighed. If he refuses, she would go and do an ab©rtion which will kll the baby. He can’t let that happen else he would feel guilty for the rest of his life. He won’t be able to forgive himself.
He wished he had never known Camille, he wished he had met Noel earlier in his life then things wouldn’t have been this way.
“Won’t you talk?” She snapped him out of his reverie.
“I’ll take responsibility and card for you and the baby. Just don’t abort the child please.” He pleaded.
“Okay, take me to a restaurant. I’m craving meat.” She said.
“But, I have loads of work on my table.” Gray said.
She burst into tears.
“Is it wrong for me to ask for meat? Why are you testing me like this? Besides, you are the one who got me pregnant.” She cried again.
“It’s okay, I’ll take you to any restaurant ofvyiur choice.” Gray stood up and was about stepping out with her when Austin entered.
“Gray, where are you going to?” Austin asked, looking at Camille but the question was directed to Gray.
“I want to take her somewhere, I’ll be right back.” Gray said and was about rushing out but Austin stopped him.
“Dude, are you okay? For the past three months, you haven’t been yourself. You get easily lost in a trance and you’re losing weight terribly. I’m your friend, whatever the problem is, you can tell me.” Austin said.
“I’m perfectly fine.” Gray answered.
Austin sighed and looked at Camille one more time before leaving.

FOOD PALACE
Gray brought her into the restaurant and made her sit. Maureen came to meet them and was surprised to see Camille and Gray together. What was happening? Is he going for Camille now? She looked at his face and saw that he wasn’t happy while Camille kept holding him. She hasn’t gotten over the shock of Noel’s de..ath and here is another shocker for her.
“What can I offer you?” She asked them politely.
“Nothing for me, just give her anything she wants.” Gray said carelessly and looked away. He already knew what Maureen was thinking right now but fact is that no one can replace Noel in his heart not even Camille. He will wait till she gives birth then take his child and forget all about this.
Maureen sighed but nodded. If he isn’t happy with her then why did he bring her to eat? Something is definitely fishy. Camille must have done something to him because she knew how much Gray loved Noel. He was even ready to marry her before all these came up.
“May I take your order ma.” Maureen said.
“I need rice and chicken soup, spice it up.” Camille ordered.
“Okay ma, what would you like to drink?” Maureen asked.
“If I wanted a drink, I would have added that. Stop acting dumb!” Camille snapped.
“The lady only asked a simple question, Camille. If you didn’t want a drink, a simple No would have been fine. Your impudence towards her was uncalled for.” Gray scolded her.
“Stay out of this, it’s none of your business.” Camille said, glaring at him.
“I’m sorry about her outburst, Maureen. Just go bring her order.” Gray said with a pleading face.
Maureen smiled and was about leaving.
“You know what? I’m no longer eating.” Camille stood up.
“Why?” Gray asked.
“Because, your disgusting face made me lose my appetite.” She stood up and stormed out.
Gray sighed and faced Maureen.
“I’m very sorry about that, please don’t be angry.” Gray said.
“No problem but how come you two are together?” Maureen asked.
“It’s a very long story that even I don’t know how to start explaining it. Everything is complicated.” He sighed sadly.
Maureen felt for him.
“Don’t worry, you’re going to be fine. Whatever happens, just remember that as far as there’s life, there is hope.” She said.
“Thanks, that was soothing.” He smiled for the first time since forever.
“You’re welcome, I’m glad I could help.” She said.
“Gray! This car isn’t gonna drive itself!” Camille yelled from outside.
“You might wanna go before she brings down the restaurant.” Maureen said.
“Yeah, goodbye and see you soon.” He said and left.
Maureen took her apron and returned to the kitchen. She hoped Gray would be able to survive in that d’vil’s claws.
Gray guy outside and entered the driver’s seat if the car.
“What took you so long huh? Do you know how long I waited? What were you doing there?” She asked.
“That’s none of your business, you’re not my wife or my girlfriend neither are you my fiancee or mother to ask me that question. It’s my life and I chose how to live it, you must’nt meddle into my affairs because of one silly mistake.” He said.
“What? Getting me Pregnant was a silly mistake?” She yelled.
“Stop okay? I don’t wanna hear it. You claim that you hate me for rapping you but you’re always all over me, you won’t even give me a breathing face for once. Don’t make me start doubting this pregnancy or even the rape because you’re acting like a cheap sIut.” He snapped and she gasped.
“Gray!” She called but he got down from the car.
“Go ahead and drive yourself, I’m sure your pregnancy isn’t that heavy yet.” He said and started leaving.
“Gray! Gray!” She called but he didn’t answer.
She was shocked, what did Maureen tell him to make him talk to her in such manner? She hit the car seat she was on angrily and went to the driver’s seat.
“At least, I now have a car from him.” She chuckled.
Gray walked to the side of the road and hailed down a cab. He called his parents home address and entered before the cab driver took off. He brought out his phone and called Austin.
“Meet me at my parents penthouse, there is something I need to tell all of you.” He said and put the phone back.
He closed his eyes and rested his head on the car seat. He was tired of all these blackmail, she keeps acting like she owns his life. He would tell his parents and Gray what has happened else he might run mad very soon.

GRAY’S PARENTS PENTHOUSE
The can dropped him off and he paid before entering. He saw Austin coming out of his own car and went to meet him.
“What happened Gray?” Austin asked.
“Let’s go inside first, I’ll explain.” He said.
Austin nodded and they went in.
His mum and dad were seated on the sofa there with little Summer. When Summer came, she had been crying to see the angel she saw last time and Everytime her demands aren’t met, she would cry and cry till she falls asleep.
Immediately Summer saw Gray, she ran to meet him.
“Bro Gray, uncle and aunt are refusing to show me the angel I saw with you last time. Her name is Noel, you know her right?” She asked with tears in her eyes.
“Yes, I know her.” Gray answered.
“Where is she?” Summer asked, happy that she finally found hope.
“She traveled to the states and will be back very soon. She said that she would bring a lot of candies and sweets for you on her way back. She said she won’t come back if you cry.” Gray said and carried her up.
“Really?” She asked, her big eyes bulging into his.
“Yes.”
“When is she going to be back? I miss her so much.” Summer pouted.
“She’ll be back very soon okay?” Gray said.
“Okay.” She nodded.
“Go to your room now, brother wants to talk with Aunt and uncle okay?” He said and she nodded.
She pecked his cheeks and ran upstairs.
Gray went to sit with Austin, facing his parents.
“My son, you don’t look good at all. Why are you t©rturing yourself like this?” Jasmine asked.
“Mum, dad, Austin.” He called and they faced him.
“What is it?” Mr Gerald asked.
“I did something bad and I don’t know if you’re going to forgive me.” He said.
“What did you do? You’re our son. Tell us, we can’t be mad at you but can only correct and scold you.” Mrs Jasmine said.
“Trust us bro, whatever it is, we’ll find a way out.” Austin said.
Gray sighed and narrated everything to them. Starting from how he got drunk and everything that followed after that.
“This is serious, why didn’t you tell us from the beginning of all these?” Mr Gerald asked.
“I didn’t know how to tell you. I was so ashamed of myself.” Gray said.
“It’s okay but are you sure you’re really responsible for that pregnancy? That girl is a tortoise.” Mrs Jasmine said.
“I agree with you, Mrs Jasmine. Let’s wait till she gives birth then run a DNA test on the baby. We’ll get the truth from there.” Austin said.
“That’s a good idea. Gray, don’t worry, we know the kind of son we have. You made a mistake, we agree but don’t let it weigh you down. We’re here to help you.” Mr Gerald said.
“Thank you so much, I feel much better.” Gray sighed, it was like a heavy load has been lifted off his shoulders.
“That’s why are here. Now, go freshen up, I’ll ask Emma to get you something to eat.” Mrs Jasmine said.

GRAY’S OFFICE
Camille entered as usual and sat down but Gray didn’t pay her any attention.
“What’s with that attitude?” She asked.
“What?” He asked without looking up.
“Why are you giving me attitude huh? You’re the guilty one and I’m the victim. Instead of you to take care of me, you’re here acting like a tsundere.” She said.
“Are you done?” He asked.
“What?” She asked.
“When you’re done, you can go out of my office the same way you came.” He said and she gasped
“After getting me Pregnant?” She asked.
“You said I got you Pregnant right? Fine! I agree. I’m responsible for the pregnancy and the baby but I’m not responsible for you so don’t come close to me, don’t even talk to me until that baby I’m responsible for is born.” Gray said and faced his work.
“Are you for real?” She gasped.
“The door is open, please close it on your way out.” He said.

Chapter 72
“You said I got you Pregnant right? Fine! I agree. I’m responsible for the pregnancy and the baby but I’m not responsible for you so don’t come close to me, don’t even talk to me until that baby I’m responsible for is born.” Gray said and faced his work.
“Are you for real?” She gasped.
“The door is open, please close it on your way out.” He said.
“You’re sending me out of your office? Gray, are you this cruel?” Camille asked.
“You’re the cruel one here, Camille. Blackmailing me because I made a mistake was totally uncalled for. Two wrongs can’t make a right. You aren’t the Camille I know anymore, you’ve changed and I hate you more now.” He stood up.
“Gray, I_”
“Since you aren’t ready to leave, I’ll leave the office for you.” Gray said and was about to leave.
“Go through that door and your parents will hear about what you did to me.” She threatened.
“Go ahead and tell them, I’ve got nothing to lose.” Gray said and walked out.
“Gray! Gray! Gray!” She called but he refused to answer.
She slammed her hands on the table and yelled, throwing everything out.
Reina and Raymond entered the office immediately.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Reina asked.
Camille turned and walked to her.
“Repeat what you just said.” She said, glaring daggers at Reina.
“Sure, I said what do you think you’re doing? This isn’t your office, why are you causing a ruckus here?” She asked.
“How dare you?” Camille raised her hand to sIap Reina but Raymond held it and brought it down
“Touch her and get sued for violence, I’m sure you’re gonna end up in the mental assylum after that because you’re going insane.” Raymond said.
“Yeah, the boss asked us to show you out of this office. You’re not welcome here.” Reina said.
Camille frowned.
“I’ll deal with Gray, I’ll deal with all of you. I’ll make sure you get fired!” Camille yelled and left.
“I’ve never seen a dog bark this loud.” Raymond said.
“You’ve got a sharp tongue.” Reina laughed.
“I learned a bit of it from Noel,” He sighed. “I really miss her, she made this company the most liveliest place for the boss and us.” He said.
“I agree with you, I pray that she is at peace wherever she is.” Reina said.
“Me too.” He replied and they went back to their posts.

CAMILLE’S PARENTS HOUSE
Camille knocked and the maid opened the door. She entered inside with Levi and met her parents watching the television.
“I can see you no longer have manners, Camille.” Mr Evans said.
“Mum, Dad, I’m pregnant and Gray is responsible.” Camille said.
Her parents exchanged looks and burst into a fit of laughter.
“What’s funny?” She frowned.
“Gray got you pregnant? Are you sure about that?” Mrs Suzie, her mum asked.
“Yes. He rapped me.” She said.
“Hmm, are you sure that reverse isn’t the case here?” Her father asked.
“What do you mean?” She asked.
“What he means is that you’re the one that raped Gray in this case.” Suzie said and laughed.
“Are you two serious?” Camille yelled.
“Yes, we know the kind of daughter we have. How can you be pregnant for Gray when you’ve lost counts of the men you spend nights with?” Suzie said.
“I’m sure you don’t even know who the father of your child is so stop blaming innocent Gray. He has nothing to do with this, don’t blackmail him with someone else’s child.” Her father said.
“You’ve klled Noel, that isn’t enough. You’re trying to blackmail her fiance. Why do you look surprised? Do you think that we aren’t aware of all your misbehaviours? We know everything.” Suzie said.
“Yeah, I klled Noel, so what? She is an obstacle in my way and I won’t hesitate to kll any one who stands in my way all over again.” She snapped.
“Yeah, and I’m sure that you’re planning on klling us, your parents too since we know your secret already.” Her father said.
“Do I really look that ev’l to the two of you?” Camille was hurt.
“You look more than ev’l, you’ve turned to a d’vil and such person isn’t fit to be my daughter.” Her father said, stood up and left.
“When you’ve turned a new leaf and washed all the blood you’ve shedded away from your hands then you can return to being our daughter. For now, you are nothing but a mon$ter to us.” Her mother said and left as well.
Camille stormed out of the house and Levi followed.
“Tell me, am I really that ev’l?” Camille asked Levi.
“I prefer to keep my mouth shut on that one.” Levi said.
“So, you believe them? You think they’re right? Gosh!” She glared at him and entered the car.
He entered the driver’s seat and did the necessary thing before driving out of the premises.

Scarlet was in her room going through some photos albums of her and Noel during their high school and university days. Brittany, her mother opened the door and entered.
“You’ve been on this albums ever since you returned from California 3 months ago. When are you going to stop?” Brittany asked.
“When I’m strong and able to get justice for my best friend.” Scarlet said.
Brittany sighed.
“Why don’t you go back to California for a while since your father’s health is getting better. Just inform him before you leave this time.” Her mother said.
“No mum, let me stay here for a while. I’ll leave when I’m ready.” Scarlet said.
“Okay dear. Just calm down okay? Everything will be fine.” Brittany patted her shoulder before leaving.
Scarlet sighed and rubbed the picture.
“I’ll get justice for you bestie, I’m sorry for being so weak.”

Eun Soo sat down after taking her evening bath. She looked at her arm and saw the scar there. She smiled sadly.
“I will make sure I give you this same scar you’ve given me, Camille. You can’t ruin people lives and expect to live happily. Enjoy everything while it lasts but when I’m back, you’ll be shocked at how they will all come crumbling before your very eyes.” She said.
“What actually happened ma?” Marie asked and Eun Soo looked at her. “I’m sorry for meddling into your personal life, please forgive me.” Marie begged.
“No problem, I’ll tell you. I’ve been looking for a female to tell my experience to for some time now. Please, sit down.” Eun Soo said.
Marie was surprised.
“I should sit down?” She asked to be sure.
“Yes, sit down.”
“Thank you.” Marie smiled and sat down.
“My English name is Julie Dennis.” She said and Marie gasped.
“You mean, you’re not a Korean lady?” Marie asked.
“No, I’m a Korean American citizen. My father is Korean while my mum is an American. My Korean make is Yoon Eun Soo while my English name is Julie Dennis.” She explained.
“So, your dad’s full name is Dennis Yoon?” Marie asked.
“Yes.” She nodded.
“Wow! So why didn’t you work in Korea instead?” Marie asked.
“I would have but I was working for a certain woman known as Camille as her personal assistant. She was nice at first which made me like her but she did something that ruined our relationship.”
“What was that?” Marie asked.
“She slept with my boyfriend. I confronted her and she told me that she was my boss and whatever belonged to me also belonged to her. She also went ahead to say that my boyfriend forced himself on her.”
“That’s terrible!” Marie exclaimed.
“Yes, it is. After that day, I planned to exert my revenge so I almost po!soned her but she caught me and the lady I was working with. She shot both of us,” She said and Marie gasped. “I managed to struggle with my life till your boss saved me and brought me to Korea but the other lady d!ed.” Eun Soo said as tears dropped from her cheeks.
Marie hugged her while she cried on her shoulders.
“Calm down, you’ll get your revenge. I’m sure of that.” Marie said, patting her back.
Now she knew why Eun Soo was not always happy like other ladies she had seen. The lady has been through alot. She patted her back soothingly.

Lucas came in with Annabella, his junior sister and sat down beside the girl on the bed.
“She hasn’t woken up yet?” Annabella pouted.
“She hasn’t, I pray she wakes up soon.” Lucas said.
“You know, I have always wanted a senior sister who would braid my hair, feed me, advice me when I’m down and who I can talk about my crushes in school with.” Annabella said.
“That sounds more like a maid than a senior sister.” Lucas chuckled.
“No, it doesn’t. I will never take her as a maid, this is like a dream come true for me, do you think I’m gonna s¢rew it up?” Annabella said with an eye roll.
“But, you’ve always known how to screw things up.” Lucas said.
“Her case us different. I’m sure she will love me in no time because I already love her.” Annabella said.
“That means she’s lucky then. She won’t be a victim to your numerous pranks.” Lucas said and she laughed.
“Yeah.”

THE HOSPITAL.
Lucas sat down and held her hand. He was starting to give up hope of her ever waking up.
“Pretty lady, it’s been a year now. Aren’t you going to wake up?” He asked.
Annabella came and held his shoulders.
“I’m sure she’ll wake up soon, if she has a reason to live, she will wake up.” Annabella said.
“But, it’s a year already, I’m not giving up on her but my hope is fading,” He said and faced her. “Don’t you have a reason to live? Like your parents, relatives, friends, someone you love and care about?” He asked and her pulse returned immediately.
She moved.
“Lucas, she moved, she actually moved.” Annabella screamed happily.
“She did.” Lucas looked at her closely and her eyes snapped open.
She looked around, trying to figure out her environment.
“Who are you and where’s Gray?” She asked.
Lucas and Annabella screamed for joy.
He ran out and shouted.
“She’s awake!”

Chapter 73
“Who are you and where’s Gray?” She asked.
Lucas and Annabella screamed for joy.
He ran out and shouted.
“She’s awake!”
The doctor, Maya rushed in and checked her up.
“Wow, She’s great and no memory loss,” Doctor Maya said and they smiled. “She’s fine but we have to watch her for a week and if nothing goes wrong, she would be discharged immediately.” Doctor Maya said.
“Thank you, doctor.” Lucas said.
“You’re welcome.” Doctor Maya smiled before leaving.
Noel couldn’t make out the strange faces looking at her. She cleared her throat and dabbed her index fingers together.
“Please, who are you?” She asked with her eyes on Annabella and Lucas.
Before Lucas could answer, Annabella beat him to it.
“Hi, my name is Annabella Wilson, this is my senior brother, Lucas Wilson. Nice to meet you! OMG, I’m so happy!” She squealed happily while Noel smiled.
“Nice meeting you too.” She said and looked at the cute looking guy in front of her. Now, is she getting confused as to who is cuter between this guy and Gray? Speaking of Gray, where is he?
Seeing how she was looking here and there, Lucas decided to ask…
“Are you looking for someone?” He asked.
“Yeah, his name is Gray. Where is he? Do you know him?” She asked.
“No, I don’t know any one called Gray.” He replied sincerely.
“Then, where am I?” Noel asked.
“You’re in Los Angeles ma’am.” Lucas answered and she gasped.
“Los Angeles? What am I doing in Los Angeles?” She asked.
“You were shot and fell from a cliff then into the river, I saved you from there and brought you here.” Lucas said.

FLASH BACK
“Ma’am, are you sure this is authentic?” Lucas asked the woman he was trying to buy a pink wrist watch from.
“Yes, young master. This is the best quality you’ve taken, I’m sure your sister is gonna love it.” The woman said.
“I hope so. I’m just a visitor in San Diego here in California, I don’t really know how things are being done here.” He smiled.
“You’re welcome. Don’t you worry handsome, this is the best. You can come and thank me later.” She said and he smiled.
“Okay, thank you so much, ma’am.” He said and gave her his credit card.
She took it and swiped before giving him back.
“Make sure to visit next time sir.” She said with a smile.
“Thanks, ma’am, I will.” He said and entered his car then drove out of there.

He was driving through the road when he turned left and saw a chair with someone on it at the edge of the cliff. He packed the car and stood to look, wondering what was going on.
The next thing he knew, he heard a gvn shot and the chair fell, broke into pieces then he saw a figure like that of a lady falling into the river.
“Sht!” He exclaimed and ran there.
He got to the river immediately she splashed into the water. He didn’t think twice before jumping in, all he could think of now was to save her. Thank God for swimming lessons, he was able to get a hold of her before the water took her away.
He swam out of the water with her. She was already unconscious when he dropped her in the car and drove away with full speed.
He thanked God the journey from San Diego to Los Angeles was not a very long one. He took her into the first hospital he saw and rose an alarm. The nurse came with a stretcher and took her in immediately while he waited.
“Do you know her?” Doctor Maya asked.
“No, doctor.” He answered.
“You don’t know any of her relatives either?”
“None, I only saved her.” Lucas said.
“Are you going to serve as her guardian then?” Doctor Maya asked.
“Sure, no problem.” He said.
“We’re going to admit her, she has lost a lot of bIood before being brought here. We need a donor.” She said.
“I can stand as one please, I need you to save her.” He said.
“Before that, we would need to run some tests on you. Hope we have your consent?” She asked.
“Do whatever you wanna do, all I want is for her to live again.” Lucas said.
Doctor Maya nodded before leaving.

“That’s how I got to save you.” He explained.
Noel was quiet for a while then everything came into her head at once. How Camille shot her out of nowhere and she fell from the cliff into the river. She was sure she felt a hand hold her in the water but didn’t know who it was. Her assumptions were Gray or Austin before she went unconscious.
Now, here she was before her real saviour.
“Thanks for saving me, I owe you a lot.” She said.
“It’s nothing.” He waved it off.
“You don’t know how much this means to me. You made God give me an opportunity to live again, I’m really grateful.” She said as tears dropped from her eyes. She couldn’t imagine the pains Gray went through, all she wanted so bad right now is how to see him again and get her revenge on Camille.
“You’re welcome, please don’t cry.” He said and she wiped her tears.
“What’s your name please?” Annabella asked.
“Noella Patterson.” She answered.
“I’m gonna call you Noel.” Annabella smiled and sat on the bed with her.
Noel smiled, this girl reminds her of Quinn.
“Sorry to ask but what happened?” Lucas asked.
Noel sighed.
“It’s a long story.” Noel said.
“We have time.” Annabella shrugged, ready to hear what Noel was going to say.
“Well, it all started like this…” Noel narrated everything to them.
“What a d’vil! Because of a man?” Annabella exclaimed.
“Yeah, she used so many means but since it was futile, de..ath was her only option.” Noel said.
“That lady called Camille really went overboard. What! That’s preposterous.” Lucas said.

“I’m going to teach that good for nothing lady a lesson she would never forget in a hurry. Once you recover fully, we’re going to San Diego, California to get revenge. We can’t let this slide.” Annabella said.
“I agree with her, we must give her a taste of her own medicine. Klling a human like herself because of a man who doesn’t love her? Who does that?” Lucas frowned.
“I agree with you guys. I’m not gonna let this slide, I will make sure she suffers and wishes for de..ath.” Noel said.
“I love the sound of that.” Annabella smiled.
“Thanks guys, I might not know you well but I thank you for your care.” Noel said.
“You don’t have to, we’re here for you.” Lucas said.
“How long have I been admitted?” She asked, trying to stretch her body.
“A year.” Lucas answered and she gasped shockingly.
“I’ve been in coma for a year?!” She half yelled.
“Yes, it’s a miracle that you’re alive today.” Lucas said.
“A year,” She muttered, God knows what Gray, his family, her family and loved ones have been through. “I need to go to San Diego now.” She said.
“No, not yet. You still need to recover well. Since you’re going for revenge, we need a plan before going so as to avoid what happened repeating itself.” Lucas said.
“Lucas is right. If you’re going for revenge, you need to go with a strong mind and strong will, not like this but like a different person. Have you heard about making your enemy suffer while struggling to figure out your identity?” Annabella asked.
“You’re really mischievous,” Noel said. “How old are you?”
“I’m 15, will be clocking 16 in a few days.” She said and Noel smiled.
“That’s cool, so I celebrated my own birthday in the hospital, how pathetic.” Noel sighed.
“Calm down, we’re gonna celebrate it for you after you get out of here.” Lucas said.
“I can’t wait.” She smiled and her stomach rumbled.
“You must be hungry, let me go get you something to eat.” He said and stood up.
“Buy a lot, she hasn’t eaten solid food for a year.” Annabella said.
“Sure.” He smiled and left.
“My brother is cute right?” Annabella asked and Noel chuckled.
“Yes, he is.” Suey answered.

Gray entered his office and sat on the chair with his hand on his forehead. It’s been a year and he still couldn’t forget about her. She has taken a part of his heart away and he doubted if he could love someone else because his heart still beats for her.
His company had grown much to his surprise because he hadn’t put a lot of zeal and happiness in it. Austin also helped in growing it as well.
Austin was now managing his own company too. Scarlet returned from Chicago few weeks ago. His mood changed immediately he remembered that wtch, Camille who had given birth to a baby boy who was now 4 months old.
Although, he has been arguing with her because to him, Camille’s pregnancy wasn’t up to 9 months before she delivered which is making him doubt whether she got pregnant for someone else and is putting the responsibility on him. He would ask and she would tell him that she went into early labor. The doctors he consulted also said same thing.
Another reason why he couldn’t argue much with her was because he had gone for different DNA tests to confirm if the child was his but all of them came out positive saying that the child was his.
He was in a dilemma and would have committed sui¢ide a long time ago if his parents weren’t supportive.
The door to his office opened and the witch entered.
“Good morning, Gray.” She smiled and sat down facing him.
“Where is the baby?” He asked.
“You didn’t even respond to my greetings, all you could ask of was the baby. I can see that you care about your son a lot.” She smiled.
“Where is the baby?” He repeated, ignoring her words.
“I left him with the nanny and came to see you.” She said.
“If there’s anything needed to take care of the baby, I’ll send the money to you so get out of my office, I hate seeing your face.” Gray said.
“You haven’t changed at all, don’t worry, you’ll come meeting me later. I’ll become your wife soon anyways.” She said.
“Keep wishing and dreaming.” He scoffed and looked away while she smirked and left.

“Hello, Good morning Mr Lee.” She greeted.
“Morning Eun Soo. Just called to tell you that your contract has been terminated, you can leave for America now. I’ve arranged your tickets and the rest, you’re also free to go with Marie.” He said.
“Wow! Thank you sir.” She said and they hung up.
“What happened?” Marie asked.
“Get ready! We’re going to America.” Eun Soo said.
“That’s good news.” Marie smiled.
“Yeah!” She chuckled. “Camille is about to receive a surprise visitor.”

Silvia’s luggage fell from her hands.
“What did you just say?” Silvia asked.
“Teresa d!ed a year and few months ago, didn’t you hear?” Sandra asked.
“No, I didn’t. How did it happen?” Silvia asked as tears rolled down her cheeks.
“She went missing all of a sudden then her body was found in the bush days later.” Sandra said.
“She was klled?” Silvia burst into tears when it all dawned on her.
“I warned her, I warned her to stay away from that wtch!” She cried more.
“Stay away from who?” Sandra asked but Silvia ignored her and left.

Silvia walked into her apartment and threw her luggage on the floor. She sat on the couch and let her tears flow freely, she was sure Camille was responsible because Teresa had told her that she would meet Camille after that.
Maybe, Camille found out about her plans and klled her but she didn’t have any evidence, how is she going to expose Camille now? Teresa can’t die for nothing. Just a trip to Miami and everything was thrown into chaos.
“What am I going to do?” She asked herself and remembered Julie. She would try to see Camille soon, and if Julie isn’t with her then her suspicion would be confirmed.
“I warned you, Teresa but you refused to listen. Now, look what it has cost you, your life! How I wish I was around then, I would gotten justice early for you.” She wept.

Camille was seated on the couch watching the television while the baby was with the nanny crying profusely. She looked at the baby and returned her gaze to the television.

“Do I look like a brea..stfeeding machine? How many times do you expect me to brea..stfeed the baby?” Camille asked annoyingly.
“For as long as he needs it ma. That’s what he needs more than anything now.” Zara answered.
“I’m tired, I can’t brea..stfeed him now.” She said.
“But ma, he is crying.” Zara said.
“And your job is to make sure he stops right? Why are you pestering me?” Camille snapped.
“Denying him of his food is very dangerous for his health. He can’t survive by water alone, he is still too tender and young.” Zara said.
“Are you trying to teach me how to take care of my own child?” Camille stood up and sIapped her. “Get out of here, try this with me next time and I’ll make sure to design your face.” Camille said.
Zara said nothing and left.
“She is kind of right ma.” Levi said.
“You’re supporting her right? Why don’t you go get her Pregnant then see how it feels to get pestered every now and then.” Camille yelled.
“But, he is your son.” Levi said.
“He isn’t only my son but Chris son as well. If not that I’m using this baby to get Gray to do whatever I want, I would have ab©rted the child or better still given it to Chris and live my life. I didn’t plan to be a mother.” She yelled.
Levi smiled, thank God she admitted it herself.
“I know but please, try and feed the baby. Starving him might k’ll him and if he d!es, who are you going to blackmail Gray with?” Levi asked.
She kept quiet and thought for a while.
“You’re kinda right but this is getting too much. Jeez! I can’t wait till all these is over then throw the baby into an orphanage and claim that he’s dead.” She said.
“Really?” Levi was shocked.
“Yeah but that would be after I get Gray to marry me.” She said and went upstairs.
Levi sighed, is he ever going to find someone more ev’l than Camille in this world again? This is outrageous!

Gray was on his computer trying to send some documents to Harry when Harry came in.
“You’re welcome.” Gray smiled.
“Thanks.” Harry answered and sat down.
He and Gray recently became business associates which has made his own company gain recognitions worldwide.
“I was about sending the documents to you when you walked in, how have you been?” Gray asked.
“I’ve been good, you?” Harry asked.
“As you can see.” Gray said and Harry sighed.
“You need to loosen up, Gray. Please, start afresh, the hurt you’re feeling will die gradually.” Harry said.
“Harry, you won’t understand. Believe me, I’ve tried but the more I try to let go, the more my feelings for her comes up again. It makes me feel that she is going to come back to me not giving room for me to love someone else. I can’t love someone else, Harry.” Gray said.
“K understand your plight but t©rturing yourself won’t bring her back. Try being happy at least.” Harry said.
“I can’t be completely happy when the reason I smile and rejoice everyday is no more.” Gray said.
“Alright but don’t kill yourself okay?” Harry said and Gray chuckled.
“Sure! How are our new couples doing?” Gray asked.
“Oh, you mean Ryan and Krysten, they’re doing fine. They’ve gone to London for their honeymoon.” Harry said.
“Wow, congratulations to them. How about you?” Gray asked.
“Me?”
“Yeah, when are you going to tie the knot with that fiancee of yours?” Gray asked.
“In few months time.” Harry answered.
“Alright, I’ll make sure to attend.” Gray said.
“You must else I’m gonna spank you.” Harry said and they laughed.
“Waiting to see that happen.” Gray said.
They chatted for a while before Harry left and Austin entered.
“Hey man!” Austin said as they shook hands.
He sat down and faced him.
“Hi, it seems that you’ve been busy a lot this week.” Gray said.
“Yeah, I was taking care of some things at the company. My manager isn’t doing his job, I think I’m gonna sack him very soon.” Austin said and Gray laughed.
“Now you know how I feel when my workers mess up.” Gray said.
“I do, I really do now. Anyways, I’ve gotten the names of those you fired this week and now we need new employees.” Austin rolled his eyes.
“Don’t roll your eyes at me, they aren’t doing their jobs.” Gray defended
“Someone you employed a week ago?” Austin asked.
“Yeah, they’re lazy and don’t like working overtime.” Gray said.
“Overtime?” Austin gasped.
“Yup!” Gray nodded.
Austin facepalmed. Gray was actually back to his normal self. After Noel’s death, he hardly smiled, he is now the worst of what he was when Camille ditched him.
“So, what vacancies are available now?” Gary asked.
Austin mentioned them.
“Is that all?” Gray asked.
“Oh, we also need a personal assistant for you.” Austin said.
“Why?” Gray asked, looking at Noel’s desk.
“Because you need help with these stuff. We’re getting you a personal assistant whether you like it or not.” Austin said.
“But, Noel is my personal assistant. Look, her desk is still here.” Gray said.
Austin sighed.
“Yeah, I know. No one is replacing Noel, the person coming will just come to help and assist you, that’s all.” Austin said.
“But_”
“No buts! We’re getting you a personal assistant and that’s final.” Austin said.
Gray pouted and nodded because he had no choice. The remaining month of the year was going to be very hectic since it would soon get to the Christmas season. He can’t deny that he needs help.
The door opened and Camille came in with the baby.
She glared at Austin and sat down.
“Austin, excuse us, I need to speak with Gray.” She said tersely.
“I can see that the mental hospital you were taken to recently didn’t do their jobs well. There is still a loose knot in your brain.” Austin said.
“You dare talk to me in such manner?” Camille asked.
“What are you doing here? Haven’t I warned you to stay away from me?” Gray asked.
“I’m the mother of your child, you can’t chase me away. Consider your child.” Camille said.
Austin laughed.
“You aren’t even ashamed to say it. You claim that Gray is the baby’s father when I haven’t seen any resemblance. I don’t see any thing about Gray on this baby, are you sure that Gray is the father?” Austin asked.
“Why would you ask me that? You saw the DNA tests, didn’t you?” Camille asked.
“I did but I’m not sure if it’s true or not. What if you bribed the doctors to forge it?” Austin asked and she gasped.
“What!” She exclaimed.
“Yeah, we don’t trust you at all. D’vils aren’t to be trusted, right Gray?”
“You’re right, Austin. When I finally find out and that child isn’t mine, I will make you go to h’ll because that’s why you belong.” Gray said.
Camille gulped down and her hands became sweaty. The more reason why she is nervous us because she has nothing against Austin.
She thought of a plan and burst into tears knowing that Gray and Austin can’t stand tears.
To her surprise, Gray and Austin stood up.
“When you’re done watering my office with your tears, you can leave.” Gray said and left with Austin.
Camille couldn’t believe what she just witnessed. Did they hate her this much?

Noel and Lucas just finished training and went to a room which is where they’ve been monitoring Gray’s company for a while.
Annabella came in with a plate containing fruits.
“Be healthy so you can train well.” She said and smiled.
“Thanks.” Noel took an apple and bit out of it.
Lucas was busy on his laptop.
“Aren’t you gonna eat?” Annabella asked
“Maybe Noel should feed me.” He said and winked at Noel who chuckled.
“What? Since when did my brother become a flirt?” Annabella asked amusingly.
“Since he met her.” He pointed at Noel.
“You know she’s someone else’s fiancee right?” Annabella asked.
“I know so allow me have fun before she meets the love of her life.” Lucas said and they laughed.
“You’re not serious.” Noel chuckled.
“Got it!” Lucas exclaimed.
“You got it?” Noel asked.
“Yeah, Gray’s company is hiring. They need workers urgently and mostly a personal assistant.” Lucas said.
“I told you my brother was a professional hacker.” Annabella smiled and Noel chuckled.
“All we need to do is fill a form for you then boom! Your interview is in few days.” Lucas said.
“Wow! How did you do that?” Noel asked.
“Just hacked into the company’s computer then submitted your form and used Gray’s computer to give you an approval.” He said.
“You’re a genius, I could just hug you.” Noel exclaimed and he blushed, remembering how she hugged him the other time.
“I also found something.” He said and showed her.
She gasped.
“Awwn!” Annabella said, batting her lashes.
“Wow, he still has my pictures, tons of them.” Noel said and wiped happy tears from her eyes.
“Yeah, so, we’re going to San Diego a day after tomorrow so you won’t miss your interview. Remember that you’re Elena Wilson for now, if he finds out who you really are, our plan will be ruined.” Lucas said.
“Don’t worry, I can do this.” Noel smiled.
“Come on, let’s go get you changed and make you look like a badass.” Annabella said and started dragging her while Lucas followed.
“Easy, Anna.” Noel said.
“Nope! We’re going to San Diego, seriously, I can’t wait to see that bçh and deal with her a bit!” Annabella said.
“What are you gonna do?” Noel asked.
“Watch and see, she will ask for de..ath but that time, even de..ath will be on strike.”

Chapter 75
“Wow! You seem to want to teach her a lesson more than I do.” Noel chuckled.
“You don’t know the half of it.” She smirked.
“What are we gonna seat today? I’m starving.” Lucas asked.
Annabella looked at him suspiciously.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” He asked.
“Nothing.” She smiled and looked away.
They took the stairs and entered the house.
Lucas and Annabella were the children of Mr Wilson Ben, one of the most richest business men in Los Angeles. Although, he died in a plane crash 5 years ago, he still left a legacy for his children. His company was being managed by his wife, Mrs Monica, who has put in her best to make sure that it stands.
The company would be handed over to Lucas when he is 25 years old. For now, he is managing one of his father’s mini companies since he is already a graduate.
Annabella on the other hand was a high school student with good and perfect grades. She is also good at pulling pranks and making fun of people so the two siblings might be opposite of each other. Lucas is an introvert while Annabella is an extrovert. On top of that, she is very beautiful and could snatch people’s boyfriends of she wanted to.
Annabella dragged Noel to her room while Lucas went to his own room.
“Jeez! Anna, you won’t even let me spend time in my own room.” Noel said.
“Not until I redecorate it, your room needs a do over.” She replied.
“A do over? But, my room is just fine.” Noel said.
“Seriously?” Annabella rolled her eyes. “You need glasses, that look doesn’t look fine to me.”
“Why if I may ask?” Noel asked with folded arms.
“It’s plain with no decorations, stickers or even glitters. Sheesh! How do you sleep so comfortably in it?” Annabella complained.
“It isn’t that bad. Besides, I’m not a kid anymore.” Noel said.
“Says who?” Annabella scoffed then stood up. “Tomorrow is my birthday, I’ve invited tons of people, it’s going to be the talk of the city.”
“Yeah, your parents are popular so, it has to be perfect right?” Noel asked.
“Yeah. Lucas is supposed to take us shopping for new outfits, where did he go to now?” Annabella asked.
“He could be in his room, I’ll go call him.” Noel said and started walking out.
“Okay. I’ll be waiting here,” Annabella said and went to her drawer to search for what to wear. She looked at the clothes and frowned. “These are so yesterday, I need to change this wardrobe especially now that I’m going to San Diego.”

LUCAS’S ROOM
Lucas took his laptop and was trying to read some mails from his secretary but he couldn’t. Each time, he looks at it, all he sees is her. Why wouldn’t her image just leave his head, she was engaged and he knew that there was nothing he could do about it.
He was a guy whom every lady would die for, some even wanted to have a one night stands with him but he wasn’t interested in any of them. He claimed that he didn’t have time for love and lousy relationships which is why he was a reserved person but why is Noel’s case different with him?
He opened the laptop and started glancing at some pictures of her that he saved when he jacked Gray’s laptop.
“You’re beautiful, you’re nice, funny, caring and lovable. I like you but I have discovered that I can’t love you. You’re already engaged to someone you love so much, you love that person with all your heart and is very obvious that you consider me as just a brother and a friend. You know what? I may not be able to have you in my life as a soulmate but I’m glad that I get to spend time with you as a friend. I think I’ll have to get rid of this feeling before it becomes uncontrollable.” He soliloquized.
Noel stood by the door and heard everything. She sighed and wanted to turn back but halted. He was matured enough to say he wanted to let go of his feelings. She decided to just act like she didn’t hear anything and cherish their friendship to the very end. Besides, she owes his her life, if he hadn’t saved her, she would have been with her ancestors by now.
She snuck up on him and yelled…
“Boo!”
He was startled and when he discovered that it was her, he gasped and was about closing his laptop but she stopped him.
“I_”
“Wow! These are cool pictures of me. Can you send them to me please?” She asked.
He was confused, isn’t she going to scold him for looking at her pictures? She was even telling him to send them to her.
“Noel, I_”
“What are you trying to explain huh? They’re just pictures, it’s no big deal. Besides, being pretty is the reason why my photos are the best. I should be a model right? What do you think?” She asked.
He laughed. “It’s like you want your fiance to have a heart attack.”
“What do you mean?” She asked.
“You want to be a model? With this kind of beauty? Guy, won’t let you be. Companies won’t leave you alone as well then you would go from one show to another, barely having time for your fiance.” Lucas said.
“I didn’t know being a model has lots of work. I don’t like stress at all please.” She pouted and he laughed.
“Hey! Stop chit chatting and take me to the boutique. My birthday is tomorrow, remember?” Annabella yelled from outside the door.
“Oh! I got carried away again. I actually came to call you for that.” Noel said.
“Alright, let’s go then.” He switched off the laptop and took his car keys.
“Oh, we’ll visit Lucas’s company after leaving the boutique. I want you to see it before we leave for… you know where.” Annabella said.
“Sure! I would love to.” Noel said and Lucas smiled.

After the shopping, they came to Lucas’s company and Noel’s eyes widened. Didn’t they say this was a mini company? How come it’s so huge? If a mini company could be like this, then what will the original company look like?
“Are you surprised? This is even the smallest one.” Annabella said as they entered.
“Wow! It’s so huge and it’s a sky scraper.” Noel said.
“Yeah, I built this one myself after u graduated from the University.” Lucas said.
“But, people call it our father’s mini company because they didn’t believe that Lucas could do a thing like that.” Annabella said.
“This is awesome! I can’t hide my surprise.” Noel squealed.
“I’m glad you like it.” Lucas smiled.
They entered and Noel looked around everything looked like they were made solely out of glass. She saw employees moving up and down. Some were seated with eyes fixed on their laptops. This reminded her of Gray’s company.
Immediately the employees set their eyes on them, they all stood up and greeted. He nodded, smiled and left for the elevator leading to his office with Noel and Anna.
The employees were surprised and started talking amongst themselves.
“Did you just see that?”
“Uh-huh, I saw it but I still can’t believe it.”
“Boss is with a lady for the first time.”
“I know right? Are they like dating?”
“I think so, didn’t you see how they looked so perfect together? I wish I was that lucky lady.”
“Me too, do you know how long I’ve been dreaming for him to even talk to me?”
“His voice gets me weak in the knees, it’s so dreamy and sxy.”
“Hearing his voice makes me feel like I’m in another realm. He’s so perfect!”
“I wish he could notice me for once.”
“Shhh! Before Annabella hears you.”
“That wtch that he calls a sister?”
“It’s like you aren’t happy with your job. As for me, I’m keeping my mouth shut.”

“Here we are.” He opened the door and Noel gasped.
“This is the exact replica of Gray’s office. Wow!” Noel exclaimed and looked around. Everything looked like Gray’s, the only difference was that Lucas didn’t have a desk for an assistant.
“Really?” Annabella asked.
Noel nodded. “Yeah.”
“Then, I can’t wait to meet this guy called Gray.” Lucas said.
They left the office after sometime and headed home.

THE NEXT DAY
Annabella woke up from her sleep and rubbed her eyes. She stepped down from the bed and struggled to open her eyes. When she finally did she saw her mum, Lucas and Noel standing in front of her with presents.
“Happy birthday!” They chorused at same time and she smiled.
“Awwn! You guys are the best.” She ran and hugged them.
“Here are your presents.” Monica said and gave it to her.
Lucas and Noel gave her theirs too.
She collected then and was about tearing the gift wrap when Monica stopped her.
“You can open them after the party, dear.” Monica said.
“But, I wanna see them now.” She whined.
“After the party sweetie.” Monica said and left.
“You heard her, right?” Lucas asked.
“Yeah.” She answered with an eye roll.
Lucas smiled and left.
“So, what are you gonna wear this morning?” Noel asked, running her hands through Anna’s clothes in the wardrobe.
“Something simple.” Anna said.
Noel smiled.
She brought out a red floral gown for her.
“How about this?” Noel asked.
“It looks great. You see why I said it’s good to have a senior sister.” Anna said and they laughed.

THE PARTY
The mansion shook with music and dance. Annabella had cut her cake and now it was time for everyone to dance. Many people from different status of life were invited, Noel could tell that these people were rich as well.
Annabella’s classmates were also present.
Lucas sat by the punch stand, watching Noel talking and laughing with Annabella and her friends.
He sighed softly, how is he gonna ask her to dance with him? An hour ago, he almost collapsed when he saw her in a white chivon gown which fitted her perfectly. How is he going to face her and ask her to dance with him? He rubbed his palms together nervously.
Annabella snuck away from Noel and came to meet him.
“Are you gonna sit here like a coward or are you gonna ask her to dance with you?” She asked him.
“She already has a fiance.” Lucas said.
“So? It’s just one harmless dance. Just consider it as a matter of formality, stop acting like you didn’t go to school.” Annabella said and walked away.
Lucas summoned up courage and went to meet her.
“Um… Would you like to dance with me?” He asked.
She smiled and was about to answer when a guy came and met them. He grabbed Noel’s wrist and rubbed her cheek.
“Hey pretty, would you like to dance?” He asked.
Noel looked at him from head to toe.
Lucas got irritated immediately. He knew this guy so well, he was Annabella’s best friend senior brother and they were same age. The guy was a psycho and complete flirt. Lucas could feel jealousy burn in him besides he and the guy were never friends.
“Don’t you have manners?” Noel asked.
“Come on, let’s go dance.” He said.
“I don’t want to dance with you, don’t touch me again.” Noel warned.
“It’s just a dance.”
“She said she doesn’t want to dance, Dennis.” Lucas said.
“Stay out of this, punk!” Dennis exclaimed.

Lucas chuckled when he saw how shocked Dennis was.

Chapter 76
Noel looked at how Dennis opened his mouth wide because of shock and scoffed.
“Close that mouth, we are not training hippopotamuses here.” She said and dragged Lucas to the dance floor, leaving Dennis transfixed on the spot.
Dennis blinked twice and gasped.
“No girl has ever said No to me but she did and embarrassed me too. She really has some guts, dmn!” He smacked his forehead.
His anger boiled more when he saw her taking Lucas to the dance floor. Wait… Is she trying to tell him that Lucas was more handsome and good looking? What about him? She called him ugly, is he really ugly?
“Let it go, dude.” Annabella patted his shoulder.
“That’s not possible, she chose your brother over me.” Dennis frowned.
“That shouldn’t worry you, there are tons of beautiful ladies here. Look over there, Rose, the senator’s youngest daughter is here. I heard that she likes guys with your kind of personality.” Annabella said.
Dennis turned and saw the girl, she was beautiful but not more than the lady who insulted him minutes ago.
“Meh! I’ll manage.” He said, arranged his outfit and went to meet her.
Just as Annabella said, she welcomed him and he took her to the dance floor.
“Yes! No one gets sad in my party.” Annabella smiled before leaving.

At the dance floor, Lucas couldn’t stop the butterflies dancing in his belly while waltzing with Noel. It felt really good, he was somehow shy as well because this was the first time he was dancing with a lady like this and not just any lady, a pretty one at that.
“So, tell me more about yourself.” Noel requested.
“You want to know more about me?” He asked.
“Yeah, I can’t have a bestie without getting to know him.” She smiled.
“You’re right. Well, I’m 23 years old, a graduate of Technology and computer science from Emerald University in America. I am not really good at starting up conversations with people.” He said.
“Yeah, I noticed.” She smiled.
“I am also a bit shy around ladies but somehow, I’m cool with you.” He said.
“That’s cool.”
“Yeah, I love martial arts a lot because that’s where I can be myself, where I can come out of my shell and do whatever I want to do. I also like to eat spaghetti tacos.” He said.
“Your personality is unique.” She said and he blushed.
“Thanks. So, how about you?” He asked.
“Like you already know and you’ve witnessed, I’m an extrovert who loves to have fun and doesn’t act her age. I adore my friends alot and can do anything to protect and defend them including getting into trouble with lousy Billionaire children.” She said and they laughed.
“You’re amazing. Your fiance is lucky to have you, I’m really jealous of him. I wish I had met you before he did.” Lucas said.
“Don’t worry, you’ll find someone much more better than I am and who suits your kind of person very well.” Noel said.
“I hope so.” He sighed and they continued dancing.
Annabella sat by a corner and watched them. She wished Noel was single,she would have made her fall in love with her brother uncontrollably but what can she do now that Noel is engaged. The first lady her brother fell in love with is engaged, so funny! She could remember how he stayed with her when she was unconscious, talking and petting her,even when he knew that she couldn’t hear him.
“Is she your brother’s girlfriend?” Tasha, her best friend asked.
“No, they’re just best friends.” Annabella replied.
“They should date, they look perfect together.” Tasha said.
“They can’t date, Tasha.” Annabella said.
“Why?” Tasha asked, her Curiosity had already been ignited.
“Tasha, I’ll be travelling to San Diego tomorrow.” Annabella said, and as expected, Tasha’s attention was drawn immediately. She looked at Annabella and frowned.
“What about our exams?” She asked.
“I met with Principal Sonia, she allowed me to write all my papers in her office.” Annabella said.
“Tell me what questions were asked.” Tasha said.
“No way, if I tell you now, you aren’t gonna read so I won’t tell me. Besides, I have forgotten most of them.” Annabella smirked and Tasha pouted.
“Hi, Anna.” Jay, one of the most cutest boys in her school waved at her.
She scoffed and looked away.
“Anna, Jay is waving at you.” Tasha said.
“So?” She rolled her eyes.
“What! A guy who all the girls in school are dying for is waving at you and you’re trying to ignore him?” Tasha was shocked.
“That’s none of my business.” Anna said and stood up to leave.
Jay drew her back and made her look at him.
“Did I offend you in any way?” He asked.
She tried to open her mouth but words failed her. She couldn’t say anything but kept staring at him, why must he allow her look into his eyes? She has been avoiding that because whenever she did, she would lose focus immediately and it would be hard for her to think. On top of that, her heartbeat would increase at a surprisingly fast rate.
Tasha stood up and dragged her from him.
“Is she okay?” Jay asked.
“Yeah, I guess.” Tasha replied.
Annabella came into her senses and gasped.
“Who asked you to touch me?” She snapped at him.
“I’m sorry, I was only trying to tell you that I’ll be traveling to San Diego with my mum tomorrow. I overheard you talking with Tasha so, I decided to tell you too, maybe we could board same plane.” He said.
“Why?” She asked, looked away and smiled.
“Um… Because…” He trailed off.
“Let it be, I understand.” She said and walked away.
Jay looked at Tasha, Tasha smiled and shrugged.

THE MALL
Camille was at the mall, she was buying some baby stuff with the credit card Gray had given her. Gray made that card her own so that she could take care of the baby and stop pestering his life.
She would choose one and the nanny would put it in the shopping trolley.
Julie (Eun Soo) and Marie stood at a corner and watched them.
“I’m not even surprised that she got pregnant. What is surprising me is that,she didn’t ab©rt the baby this time.” Julie said.
“You mean, she has aborted a baby before?” Marie asked.
“She has not aborted a baby but has aborted babies. I’m still shocked at why her womb is still working and isn’t clogged right now.” Julie said.
“Such innocent babies.” Marie shook her head.
“Yeah and for her not to have aborted this one, it means that she is using it for something and I’m going to find out. Just look at her, smiling while she left many families in sorrow.” Julie said.
“It’s up to you to make her pay then.” Marie said.
“Yeah.” Julie smirked.
Camille turned to the left and saw Julie, the diaper she held in her hands fell down immediately. She blinked and looked again but didn’t see her there.
“I could swear I saw Julie right now. But, that can’t be possible, I klled her,” She muttered.”Maybe I was hallucinating.”
She turned to the right and saw her again. She gasped.
“What is it ma?” The nanny asked.
“Let’s go home immediately.” Camille didn’t bother to buy anything, she dragged the nanny outside and they left.
Marie laughed.
“This is just the beginning and she is already freaked out like this.” Marie said.
Julie chuckled. “That means that she would die if she sees me with a gvn.”
Marie laughed again.
“Wait! You’re Julie right?” Silvia asked.
“Yes, I am.” Julie answered.
“Thank goodness! I found you. My name is Silvia, Teresa’s friend and room mate. ” Silvia said.
“Oh yeah! She used to tell me things about you. How you two got fired from Gray’s company and so on.” Julie said.
“Yeah, I’m the one. Please, I returned from Miami weeks ago and someone told me that Teresa is dead. I really can’t comprehend what’s going on, please are you aware?” Silvia asked.
Julie sighed. “Let’s go sit somewhere, I’ll tell you everything.”
Silvia nodded and they located the nearest restaurant where they sat down.

Julie narrated all that happened to her and she found herself crying.
“So, my assumptions were right. I warned her, didn’t I? I told her that, Camille would kill her if she found out but she was bent on doing whatever she wanted.” Silvia said.
“Stop crying, Silvia. This is not a time to start blaming her, she is already dead and we both know that she didn’t die naturally. What we should be doing now is planning on how to make Camille pay for her atrocities.” Julie said.
“Yeah, you’re right. Camille can’t get away with this, do you have any plan in mind?” Silvia asked and Julie chuckled.

AN ESTATE
Noel,Lucas and Annabella rolled their luggages into the house. Monica had already prepared everything for their arrival.
It was hard before she allowed them to come to San Diego. She would have followed them but the company needs her.
“Dude! Your mother is a genius. The house is amazing, it’s the biggest in this estate.” Noel squealed.
“Yeah.” Lucas agreed.
“Off to my room! I’m getting the most beautiful one.” Annabella said.
“No worries, mum made each room to everyone’s taste so go find yours.” Lucas said.
Annabella smiled and ran upstairs.
Noel looked around, everything, starting from the couches, the TV, the center table and other interior designs were captivating.
She went to her room and dropped her bags, took her bath and wore clean clothes. She wore a trouser and white crop top with sneakers then looked at herself in the standing mirror.
She looked a bit different now, thanks to the mask but her beauty was not concealed. She trimmed her hair and dyed the ending red, giving her a bada$s look.
She alighted the stairs.
“I’m going for a stroll, I miss San Diego so much.” She said.
“Should I come with you?” Lucas asked.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.” She smiled.
“Alright, better leave before Annabella comes downstairs and also be back early.” He smiled.
“Sure.” She smiled back and strode out of the house.

She came out of the estate and walked farther a little bit then saw Gray’s house. She smiled, she personally told Monica that she wanted a place that would be close to his house. The house hasn’t changed a bit. She looked at her wristwatch, it was not 7pm yet meaning that Gray was still at work. She was really dying to see him.
She walked the Streets and saw a mall. She entered and to her surprise, Camille was there. The bçh hasn’t changed a bit except that she looked a bit fàtter than before. She could sense that there was an argument between Camille and the cashier.
She walked over to see what’s up.
“Ma’am, I can’t lie to you, the total of the money you spent here today is ten thousand dollars.” The cashier said.
“You’re a thief, how can these little things that didn’t even reach half of the trolley cost ten thousand dollars? Stop trying to cheat me.” Camille yelled.
“I’m saying the truth.” The cashier said.
Camille saw a hand stretch forward with a card.
“I’m paying for that, let the woman go. I’m sure she doesn’t even have a dollar in her account, that’s why she is making excuses.” Noel said.
The cashier collected the card and made the payment before returning it to Noel.
Camille couldn’t believe her ears.
She looked up and her gaze met with that of Noel.
She gasped but shook her head, she hasn’t met this person before.
“Who do you think you are?” Camille yelled at her.
Noel scrunched up her eyebrows.
“Eww! Please close that mouth, it stinks. Don’t use your mouth odour to kll me because I tried to help you. Jeez! Did you even brush today?” Noel asked and didn’t wait for an answer before walking away.
Camille stood there in shock.

“Eww! Please close that mouth, it stinks. Don’t use your mouth odour to kll me because I tried to help you. Jeez! Did you even brush today?” Noel asked and didn’t wait for an answer before walking away.
Camille stood there in shock.
“My mouth stinks?” She asked herself while staring at Noel’s back.
The cashier held in her laughter.
Zara, who had gone out with the baby came back to see Camille in her shocked state.
“What happened here?” Zara asked.
Camille recovered from her shock.
“Where have you been?” Camille yelled at Zara.
The cashier snickered. She is transferring her anger on the nanny now.
“I went to stay in the car like you asked. When there wasn’t any sign of you, I decided to come check if everything was alright.” Zara said.
“Is that your job as a nanny?” Camille asked, transferring her aggression on the lady.
“No, but you’re the mother of the child I’m taking care of. It is mandatory that I look out for you too, that’s why we’re called nannies. If you aren’t fine, then the baby will be in danger and if the baby is in danger then I have failed.” Zara said.
“Gosh! What is wrong with you?” Camille asked.
“Nothing,ma.” Zara replied.
Camille glared daggers at the cashier before leaving. Whoever that lady was, she would make sure she deals with her. Is she trying to show that she is more richer than her? She was going to teach the fuçking lady a bitter lesson for insulting her in such manner. But, come to think of it, that lady looked quite familiar, where had she seen that face before? Also, the aura the lady emanated was very scary. All these questions bothered her as the driver took her home.

Noel walked around, looking at so many things she had missed. She stopped at a restaurant, it was her parent’s bakery, the one Gray’s father gave to them as a gift for her mum’s birthday.
She stood by the door and looked inside.
She saw her mother serving some customers while forcing a smile. She looked into the kitchen and saw her father coming out of it with an apron around his waist. She saw Quinn by the counter, attending to some customers there too.
Tears welled up in her eyes on seeing them. She was happy that nothing happened to them and that they were fine but they weren’t working with the zeal they had when she was still around and that made her heart ache.
She was still hovering in her cloud of thoughts when someone tapped her.
“Hey, aren’t you gonna go in? People are waiting outside.” The person said.
That was when she realized that she was at the door and blocking the entrance. She blinked the tears away and comported herself.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” She said and turned, coming face to face with Scarlet. She was about to yell and hug her but remembered that she was Elena now and not Noel.
Scarlet on the other hand glanced at the person in front of her.
“Sorry, have we met before?” Scarlet asked.
“I don’t think so.” Noel answered.
“Oh, I must have mistaken you for someone else. You sound just like someone I know.” Scarlet smiled sadly.
“Really?”
“Yeah, let’s go sit down.” Scarlet said.
They walked over to a table and sat down.
Evie came to meet them.
“Hi Scarlet, who’s your new friend?” Evie asked, taking a closer look.
“I just met her here today. She hasn’t introduced herself to me yet.” Scarlet said.
“What’s your name dear?” Evie asked.
Noel was staring at her mother who couldn’t recognise her. She felt the urge to cry but held it in. Now isn’t a time to be weak, she needed to be strong. Looking at her mother, she could see that she had lost a lot of weight. Same thing goes for Scarlet and Quinn. She snapped out of her reverie when Scarlet tapped her.
“Are you okay?” Scarlet asked.
“Yes, I am.” She answered.
“I was asking what your name was.” Evie said.
“My name is Elena ma,Elena Wilson.” Noel answered.
“Wow, you’re really beautiful. You remind me of my daughter but she was more hyper active than you are.” Evie smiled.
Noel smiled too.
“What would you like to have?” Scarlet asked.
“Sausage would be fine.” Noel answered.
“Don’t bother about me, Mrs Pat. I’m good.” Scarlet said.
Evie modded and went to bring Noel’s order.
“You said your name is Elena right?” Scarlet asked.
“Yes. What about yours?” Noel asked.
“Mine is Scarlet. You know, you remind me of my best friend. You guys look almost alike but she was hyper active just like her mother says and very playful. She was also very beautiful and fun to be around.” Scarlet said.
“Why are you talking about her in past tense?” Noel asked.
“She died a year ago.” Scarlet said.
“Oh no! I’m sorry about that.”
“I didn’t even get to see her for the last time, she didn’t even wish me goodbye.” Scarlet said with teary eyes.
“Sorry about that.” Noel’s heart bIed, she felt like crying too. Is it still hurting them this much?
“I’m angry at myself for so many reasons.” Scarlet said.
“Care to share?” Noel asked.
Scarlet looked at her, contemplating within her if she could trust the lady or not.
“I know that we’re meeting for the first time but you can trust me.” Noel said.
“I’ll tell you next time, I don’t want to cry my eyes out now.” Scarlet said.
“No problem, just calm down, everything is gonna be fine.” Noel said.
“Here is your sausage, enjoy.” Evie smiled, dropped it and left.
Noel stared at the sausage before her and sighed.
“It’s like you’re new here right?” Scarlet asked.
“Yes, I just arrived from Los Angeles today.” She answered.
“Wow, okay. Maybe, I can show you around San Diego whenever you’re free.” Scarlet said.
“Sure! I’ll bring my friends along as well.” Noel said.
“Okay,what do you say about tomorrow afternoon?” Scarlet asked.
“I won’t be able to meet up, I have an interview tomorrow afternoon.” Noel said.
“Where?” Scarlet asked.
“It’s in a company called Gray Gerald Enterprises.” Noel answered simply.
“Seriously! I work there. What post are you getting interviewed for?” Scarlet asked.
“The CEO’s personal assistant, I guess.”
“Wow! That’s a very nice post. My late friend was the CEO’S personal assistant as well, she was also his fiancee and they were already engaged before her de..ath.” Scarlet said.
“That’s so sad.”
“It is. Please, if you get the job by any chance, try and endure working with him. He’s been through a lot and might be rude and bossy sometimes. He is heartbroken and I’m not sure how long it’s gonna last so please, endure and try your best not to anger him.” Scarlet said.
“Let me get the job first.” Noel said and stood up.
“You’re leaving?” Scarlet said.
“Yes,” She drops a tip. “Tell the owner that her sausage was great. See you around.”
“But, I don have your number yet.”
“Oh.”
They exchanged contacts and bade themselves goodbye before Noel left.
“She’s gone already?” Evie asked after collecting the money Scarlet came to give her.
“Yeah, she is nice though.” Scarlet said.
“She is.” Evie smiled.

Noel sighed in relief after she left the bakery/restaurant. She left because if she had stayed much longer and listened to what Scarlet was saying, she would be forced to reveal her identity.
She decided to head home since it was already getting dark. She knew Annabella would be all over Lucas by now. A Jeep drove past her and stopped, she recognized it right away, it was one of Gray’s cars. She gasped and hid.
The door at the back opened and Gray stepped out with Austin. He looked around but saw no one.
“I could swear that I saw Noel just now.” Gray said, still looking around.
“That isn’t Noel, Gray. It could be someone that has same stature as her. Noel is dead, remember?” Austin asked.
“I know but I can’t be mistaken. That was Noel, I’m sure of it.” Gray said.
“It’s already a year, Gray. Stop all these, you’re hallucinating again.” Austin said.
Gray sighed. “I guess you’re right.” He looked ahead one more time before entering the car with Austin following him.
The window wound up and they drove into Gray’s house.
Noel came out of her hiding spot and looked at his gate.
She couldn’t see his face very well but she knew that wasn’t happy. She sighed and returned home.

Immediately she opened the door and came in, Annabella ran to meet her.
“Where have you been?” She asked.
“Strolling.” Noel answered and plopped down on the couch.
“I almost had a heart attack. Lucas, over there, refused to tell me where you went to.” Annabella said, glaring at Lucas.
“Yeah, because if I do, you would go out and look for her. Meanwhile, you don’t even know your way around here.” Lucas said.
“He’s right.” Noel said.
“Yeah but you should have taken me with you.” She pouted.
“We’ll go together next time. By the way, I ran into the wtch today.” Noel said.
“What happened between you two? Tell me that you tore her cIothes and deaIt mercilessly with her.”
“Anna!” Noel and Lucas exclaimed at the same time and laughed.
“Well, I didn’t tear her clothes but I left her with something to think about.” Noel said.
“What’s that?” Anna asked.
Noel told them all that transpired between her and Camille and they started laughing.
“Serves her right.” Lucas said.
“I’m certain that she would go home and brush her teeth with a sponge today.” Annabella said.
They laughed again.
Noel told them how she met Scarlet and made friends with her again. She also told them of how she almost bumped into Gray.
“Speaking of Gray, your interview is tomorrow. Are you ready?” Lucas asked.
“Yes, I can’t wait to see him again.” She smiled.
“Lover girl.” Anna teased, earning laughter from them.

It was almost time for the interview. Lucas drove Noel into the company.
“You can do this.” He gave her a thumbs up and she smiled.
“Go and make us proud. We’re expecting good news.” Anna said.
“Just be yourself and everything will work out.” Lucas said.
“Thanks guys.” She blew them a kiss and got down from the car.
She stared at the building before her, sighed and entered.
Immediately the employees saw her, they all started murmuring.
“Who’s the new hottie?”
“I think she is part of those getting interviewed for the personal assistant post.”
“So, is that why she has to dye her hair? She isn’t going to get this job. The boss hates nonsense.”
“I agree with you. She thinks she can se..duce him like this? Pfft! She need lessons.”
Noel ignored them and entered the elevator. She came out and saw so many people at the reception, waiting to be interviewed. She saw Raymond and smiled, the guy hasn’t changed a bit.
She sat down, ignoring the envious looks the ladies were giving her. Her name was called later and she walked up to the door. She sighed before opening it. She entered inside with her heart thumping loudly in her chest.
She saw him looking at some files, gulped down nothing and walked up to him.
“Good afternoon sir.” She greeted.

She saw him looking at some files, gulped down nothing and walked up to him.
“Good afternoon sir.” She greeted.
Gray looked up and their eyes met.
Gray looked at her from head to toe. How can someone look like Noel so much? Her shape and features, the way she stands and others. The only difference was her face which didn’t look exactly like Noel’s.
Noel on the other hand stared at him, trying her best not to give herself out. He looked more handsome than before and she found herself falling more for him.
“Sorry, have we met before?” He asked, snapping her out of her reverie.
“Met before? I don’t think so because I don’t know you.” She answered.
“Are you sure? You look like someone I know.” Gray said.
“I’m sorry, sir. I don’t know you.” She said.
Gray sighed. “Okay, no problem, have a seat.”
“Thanks.” She answered and sat down, staring at him.
He looked up and she bent her head.
“You’re here for the interview right?” He asked.
“Yes sir.”
“Let me have your credentials.” He said.
“Here.” She handed them over to him.
He took it and went through it thoroughly.
“Your name is Elena Wilson?” He looked up at her and asked.
“Yes sir.” She answered with a nod.
“From Los Angeles.” He said.
“Yes.”
“If I may ask, why did you leave your present job to work in San Diego?” He asked.
“I wanted a change of environment. I’ve been working in Los Angeles for the past four years. It’s pretty old to me now so I decided to come to San Diego.” She answered.
“That’s interesting, you’ve worked as a secretary and manager before. So, now you’re here to work as a personal assistant.” He said, more like a question.
“Yes. I would have applied for the post of a manager but it’s already taken. The personal assistant post is the only available one for now so, I’m going to do it because I want to.” She said.
“So, what makes you think that I’m gonna employ you?” He asked.
“You’re gonna because you have no choice.” She answered.
“Why?”
“Because, I’m the perfect person for this job. I’m trustworthy, work like a robot, diligent and don’t tolerate nonsense.” She said.
“Even from me?” He asked.
“You’re my boss so I don’t think you’ll try anything stupid but if you do, then I would be forced to show you what I’m made of.” She said.
Gray laughed.
Her behaviour reminded him of how Noel behaved when he was interviewing her. Imagine a person who came for an interview telling him this kind of thing, it was actually funny. She didn’t even care if he was going to chase her out. This was the first time he laughed genuinely since Noel’s death.
He looked at her again and knotted his brows. Why does he feel a sense of familiarity around this lady? They’re just meeting for the first time and he’s feeling like he has known her for a very long time. He needs to get to the bottom of this and the only way to do that is to not let her go.
“Miss Ella.” He called.
“My name is Elena not Miss Ella and please, don’t add miss to my name whenever you call it. I don’t like it at all, after all, it wasn’t part of the name my parents gave me.” She said and Gray froze.
This was exactly what Noel said when he called her miss during her interview.
He looked at her.
“Why are you behaving like her?” He asked.
“Like who?”
“Someone I know. You said the exact thing she said when I called her Miss.” Gray said.
That was when Noel realized what she said. She facepalmed internally, she didn’t know when that slipped from her mouth but truth be told, she doesn’t like when people addressed her like that.
“Wow! Maybe it’s a coincidence.” She said, trying not to sound nervous.
“Yeah. Well, Elena, you’re hired but you’ll have to explain why you dyed the elm of your hair red.” He said.
“I did that because I like my hair that way.” She answered.
“You have to change it to black. This is a formal establishment and as my personal assistant, you’ll need to be decent.” He said.
“That won”t be possible. I like it that way and if you aren’t okay with it then you can forget about giving me this job.” She stood up.
Gray blinked. What did she just say?
She started walking away, hoping he would call her back. She knew he was trying to find out more about her which might make him call her back but she can’t change the color of her hair either because it would reveal her identity faster.
Gray watched her, he wasn’t going to let her go just like that. He needed answers to the questions bothering him and if he should allow her leave, he might never see her again.
“Wait!” He said and she halted.
“Yes?” She turned.
“You can keep your hair that way as long as it isn’t all of it you dyed. Congratulations, you’ve gotten the job.” He said.
“Thanks.” She said simply, trying her best to conceal her joy.
She looked around the office and saw her table. It was just the way she left it, neatly arranged with her comic books on top.
“Is that my table?” She asked and was about going to sit.
“No! That’s for someone very important. You’ll get yours tomorrow so, go home for now.” He said.
“I thought that I’m the only assistant here.” She said.
“Yes, you are but you can’t sit there. Like I said earlier, it’s for someone very important to me. I don’t wanna see you around it if you want to keep your job.” He said in a serious tone.
“Fine.” She rolled her eyes and left with a huge smile plastered on her face.
Gray dismissed the rest that were to be interviewed and faced his laptop with his mind drifting back to the encounter he had with the lady few minutes ago.
Noel entered the elevator and came outside the company. She stood by the door with her files on her chest when Camille came. Immediately she saw Camille, her countenance changed immediately.
“So, we meet again.” Camille said, glaring at her.
“Yes, hope you’ve brushed your teeth today?” Noel asked.
Camille frowned. “Mind your words, young lady.” She said.
She looked at the files Noel was holding.
“I can see you came for the interview.” Camille said.
“Yes, is there anything wrong with that?”
“Not at all, since you’ve come into my fiance’s company, I’ll make sure you don’t get this job.” Camille said.
“Fiance?” Noel asked.
“Oh! You don’t know? The boss of this big company, Gray Gerald is my fiance. So, don’t think I am not rich because you paid for what I bought yesterday.” Camille said and walked in.
Noel’s mood darkened immediately.
“Gray is her fiance?” She asked rhetorically.
Taking one more look at Camille, she sighed and left.
Camille entered Gray’s office and sat down.
“Want do you want?” He asked.
“I came to let out what has been bothering me.” Camille answered.
“Oh, I didn’t know devils go through problems as well.” Gray said sarcastically.
“Stop calling me a devil, Gray. You rapped me, got me pregnant and in my defense, I tried not to make you deny it. Why must you tag me as a d’vil because of that?” She asked.
“Isn’t that what you are?” He sassed back.
She sighed.
“Let’s not go into that now. What is bothering me is that, since I gave birth to your child, you haven’t come to see the child for once. Is it fair?”
“But I send money, clothes and other things the child needs to survive. Isn’t that better?” He asked.
“But at least, come see the child so my child won’t look like he doesn’t have a father.” She said.
“I’ll see the child when I’m less busy.” He said and returned his gaze to the laptop.
“That lady with red hair, did you employ her?” Camille asked.
“Yes.”
“I want her fired.” Camille said.
“No.” He answered bluntly without looking at her.
She just sighed and frowned.

“Congratulations! I knew you would get the job.” Annabella said.
“Thank you.” Noel smiled.
“Congratulations! Tell us how you did it.” Lucas said.
“You won’t believe it, it was hilarious.” She said and plopped down on the couch.
“Let’s hear it.” Annabella sat beside her.
Noel started narrating everything to them and they laughed.
“You really have some nerves, Noel.” Lucas said.
“Shh! I’m not Noel for now so start calling me Elena.” She said.
They laughed.
“Okay, your majesty.” Lucas teased and she eyed him playfully.
“But, something is bothering me, Camille told me that Gray is her fiance when we met at the company today.” Noel said.
“She’s lying. She’s probably trying to show off because you paid for her stuff yesterday. I have come across people like that, they tag themselves as fiancees with rich billionaire guys just to show off. Ignore her.” Annabella said.
“I guess you’re right. Anyways, I’ll find out if she’s lying or not when I start working in the company.” She said.
“Sure! Let’s go out and eat.” Lucas said.
They cheered and stood up.

Noel entered the company looking as beautiful as ever. She wore a black suit on heels. Her hair was let down in waves making her look hotter than she already was.
“She got the job?”
“I can’t believe this. The CEO actually employed her.”
“She must have se..duced him, I’m sure of that.”
“But, our CEO is a man of discipline, I don’t think she se..duced him.”
“But, how did she get the job every lady has been dying to have?”
Noel swore she was going to deal with these employees when her mission is accomplished.

She entered Gray’s office and greeted.
“Good morning, Mr Gray.” She smiled.
He looked at her, she looked beautiful. He couldn’t remember the last time someone this beautiful worked for him except Noel of course.
“Morning, that’s your table over there.” He pointed to his left.
She nodded and went to sit down.
He drew some papers on her desk.
“Work on these.” He ordered.
She didn’t complain but nodded and started going through them. She thanked God that she was able to change her handwriting in Los Angeles. It wasn’t easy but she did it.

LATER THAT DAY
Camille entered the office with her baby, she saw Noel and her face darkened. She hissed and sat down. Noel wondered where Camille got the baby from. It better not be what she’s thinking.
“I thought I told you to fire this lady yesterday.” Camille said.
“And I said No. What’s your problem?” Gray asked.
“As your fiancee_”
“Hold it right there, I can’t remember the last time I proposed to you. Stop calling yourself my fiancee.” Gray said.
“But I’m carrying your son, Gray.” Camille said.
The moment Noel heard that, her heart shattered to pieces.
“So, because you’re carrying my son, I should turn to your slave right?” He asked.
“He has a baby? With Camille?” She muttered as tears rolled down her cheeks.
She covered her face, stood up and ran out of the office.

“What’s with her?” Camille asked and hissed.
Gray continued looking, what was wrong with her? Why is he worried anyway?
“Camille, leave my office, immediately.” He ordered.
“Gray, I_”
“Please! Just leave!” He snapped and she flinched.
“Okay, okay, sheesh!” She stood up with the baby and left.
Gray sighed and continued looking at the door, expecting her to be back but she didn’t walk in.
“I hope she’s fine.” He muttered.

Noel entered the ladies bathroom and locked herself in. She removed the mask and cried.
“He has a baby with Camille! He has a fking baby with Camille!” She yelled angrily.
Looking at herself in the mirror, she cried again.
“Gray why? Why did you do this to me? I waited for you after a year of being in coma. I wanted you back, my heart still wants you, why did you break it?” She asked.
Suddenly she remembered what has been happening since she and Gray met. She remembered how he told her that, that seat was for someone very important to him , she also remembered how he rushed out of the car when he saw her. Also, how he yelled and talked to Camille in a harsh tone.
“If he doesn’t like her, then how did she get pregnant and bore a baby for him? Something isn’t right. What is wrong with me? Why did I allow my emotions get the best of me? This is a time to be strong. Now, what am I gonna tell him if he asks why I ran out of the office?” She sighed. “Be strong Noel,” She put on her mask. “Be strong Elena.”
Checking herself out in the mirror one more time, she breathe in then out before unlocking the door and stepping out.
She came to the reception and Raymond called her.
“Excuse me, lady.” He said.
She stopped and faced him.
“What is it?” She asked with a frown, she knew what he was going to ask so she wasn’t going to smile for him to be friends with her.
“Nothing, you can go.” He said.
She didn’t say anything and entered the office.
“She’s scary, she can’t be Noel. Noel is nicer and friendlier.” Raymond said.
“I told you so but you wouldn’t listen.” Reina laughed.
Elena entered the office and went straight to her seat.
“What happened earlier?” Gray found himself asking.
“It’s something personal.” She answered.
“Care to share?” He asked.
“Well, I wasn’t feeling too well so I went to throw up. How does that sound?” She asked, looking at him.
“Rude?” He answered. She nodded and returned to her work. “By the way, have you and Camille met before? She doesn’t like you from what I’ve seen and witnessed.” He said
“Who is Camille?” Elena asked.
“The lady I was with few minutes ago.” He answered.
“Oh! Your wife.” She said.
“She isn’t my wife.” Gray’s mood darkened immediately.
“Sorry, the mother of your child.” Elena said. Gray sighed sadly, she didn’t fail to notice that. She was going to get to the bottom of this. “You know Mr Gray, you’re quite naughty. How can you impregnate a lady before marriage huh?”
“It wasn’t intentional, it was a fr..eaking mistake! Mind your business.” He snapped.
“Hey, I only asked a question. Stop being rude all of a sudden, it doesn’t suit you.” She said.
“Just let me be, don’t talk to me for the rest of the day.” He said.
“But, what if I’m done with what you gave me?” She asked.
“Just drop it and say nothing to me.” He answered.
“What if I want to go out for lunch?”
“Go and don’t bother telling me.” He answered.

“Elena please, stop frustrating me.” He snapped at her.
“Okay sir.” She smiled and faced her work.
Gray looked at her and sighed. There is no difference between her character and that of Noel’s except that she is a bit rude sometimes while Noel was always bubbly.
Elena looked up and caught Gray staring at her.
“Why are you staring at me like that?” She asked.
“I told you not to talk to me.” Gray said and looked away.
She chuckled slightly.

“Zara!” She called after entering the house.
“Yes!” Zara answered from the kitchen and came to meet Camille.
“Take the baby away from my sight.” She said.
“Okay.” Zara collected the baby and left.
“Levi!” Camille called.
“Yes ma!” He answered and stood before her.
“I have a job for you.” She said.
“I’m listening.”
“There’s a lady I need you to do a background check on. She is working as Gray’s new assistant now, she dyed the elm of her hair red. Trail, stalk and tell me everything about her.” She ordered.
“Okay. You’re aware that the directors of the company you applied for is coming to Food Palace this afternoon and you’re invited for lunch with them?” He asked.
“Is it lunch or interview?” Camille asked.
“Both.” Levi answered.
“Alright, let me go and get ready.” She stood up and headed for her room.

FOOD PALACE
The directors were already seated and waiting for her. She rushed in and bowed.
“I’m sorry sir coming late, I had something to take care of at home.” She said.
“No problem, have a seat.” One of them said and she obeyed.
“We’ve gone through your credentials and it is satisfying. We’d like to know more about you before giving you this job.” Another said.
“Sure,” She looked up and saw Julie at the entrance to the restaurant and gasped.
“Are you okay?” Mr Mike, who spoke first asked.
She looked at him then back at the door but Julie was no longer there.
“Y… yes, I’m fine. Um, my name is Camille Evans, I’m 24 years old. I’ve worked as a model in Seoul, Korea and as a manager for my dad’s company here in San Diego, California. I have the best qualifications for the post of Sales Representative in your company, sirs.” She said with her eyes fixed on the door.
“Have you worked as a sales representative before?” Mr Brown, the second director asked.
“No but I’ve learnt a bit of the field.” She answered.
“Give us a minute.” Mr Mike said and they started discussing amongst themselves.
Camille’s gaze remained on the door, she thought that she was hallucinating or it was just an illusion and took her face away.
Maureen was approaching them with glasses of juice and Camille bumped into her mistakenly, spilling the juice all over the men and herself.
“I’m so sorry, sirs.” Maureen bowed apologetically.
“You! Are you blind? Can’t you watch where you were going?” Camille asked.
“I’m sorry but you bumped into me.” Maureen answered.
“So? Can’t you hold the tray firmly? Why are you so brainless?” Camille snapped.
“Miss Evans!” Mr Mike called abruptly and she turned to face them, remembering that she was actually here for an interview and just showed them her outburst.
“Sirs, I_”
“That was so rude and inappropriate. If we give you this job, is this how you’re gonna talk to our customers and workers?” Mr Brown asked,anger evident in his tone.
“I’m sorry_”
“We can’t hire someone like you, you’re incompetent for this job. Let’s get out of here.” Mr Mike said.
They all stood up and left the restaurant paying deaf ears to Camille’s pleas.
“Shit!” Camille hit the table and faced Maureen angrily. “It was all your fault!” She snapped.
“My fault? Oh please! Stop acting childish and admit your mistake instead of shifting the blame to others. You bumped into me and insulted me, now you’ve lost a job opportunity because of your running mouth and impudent attitude. Serves you right anyway.” Maureen said.
“What? Are you talking to me?” Camille asked and wanted to slap her when she saw Julie again. She gasped and fear struck her. “Are you seeing that?” She pointed to the window.
Maureen turned and saw nothing.
“There’s nothing there.” Maureen said.
Camille looked again and saw nothing. She hurriedly left the restaurant while Maureen stood there, trying to figure out what was going on.

Camille stepped outside and looked around the restaurant but saw nothing.
“Geez! I’m going ¢razy.” She lamented and entered her car before driving off.
“What next?” Silvia asked Julie.
“We follow her.” Julie answered.
Silvia started the car and followed that of Camille’s.
“Where do you think she’s going to?” Silvia asked.
“A bar. For as long as I’ve known her, whenever she’s feeling angry, she goes to drink herself to stupor.” Julie said.
“Wow!” Silvia exclaimed as they followed Camille’s car.

Elena was finally done with what Gray gave her. She wanted to call him but remembered that he said she shouldn’t talk to him for the rest of the day.
Now, how is she going to inform him that she was done for the day and needed to head home? She stared at him while he worked. The way his hands worked on the laptop and his work posture made her drool over him all over again.
Gray looked up and caught her staring.
“What is it?” He asked but she didn’t answer. “I’m asking you a question, Elena.”
“I can’t answer that question.” She answered, trying to act cool and innocent so he wouldn’t say that she was drooling over him.
“Why?” He asked.
“Because, you said that I shouldn’t talk to you for the rest of today.” She answered.
“But you’re talking to me now.” Gray said.
“Because, you talked to me first.” She replied.
“What is it then?” He asked.
“I wanted to let you know that I’m done for today and want to go home.” She answered.
Gray checked his wristwatch. “Alright, you can go.” He said.
“Just like that?” She asked and he looked at her.
“What else do you want me to say?”
“There are other ways to bid your worker goodbye. Are you sure that you’re the CEO of this company? Are your even a CEO?” She asked.
Gray puts his hand on his forehead. “Elena, can you stop disturbing my life?” He asked.
“No,” She answered, stood up and carried her bag. “Goodnight, Mr Gray. See you tomorrow.” She smiled and left.
Gray watched her till she was out of sight. He shook his head and continued with what he was doing.

Camille took the third bottle of alcohol and gulped it down. She was trying to get drunk and just forget about what happened minutes ago but it seemed like it wasn’t working.
“I klled you, Julie. Why am I still seeing you?” She asked.
She belched and discovered that she was pressed and needed to use the restroom. She left the counter and managed to locate the only restroom in the bar. Luckily, no one was there. She entered and eased herself, flushed the watched her hand. The moment she looked into the mirror, she saw Julie holding a gvn and pointing it at her.
She gasped and turned, behold! Julie was right in front of her, pointing a gvn at her forehead.

She gasped and turned, behold! Julie was right in front of her, pointing a gvn at her forehead.
“Hey bçh!” Julie smirked.
“J… J… Ju… Julie.” Camille stuttered.
“What? Cat caught your tongue?” Julie asked.
“You’re not supposed to be alive.” Camille said.
“Neither are you.” Julie said and cracked the gvn.
“Please, I’m sorry for whatever I’ve done to you. Don’t kll me, please.” Camille pleaded.
“So, you know how to beg? You’re scared of de.ath yet you kll people like flies?” Julie asked.
“I’m sorry, please have mercy.” Camille begged.
“You don’t deserve to live. Say your last prayers, I’m sure God isn’t going to answer a d’vil like you but at least, let me be a good Samaritan and do you the favour.” Julie said with a d’vilish smile, sending chills down Camille’s body.
Camille started trembling in fear and Julie enjoyed every moment of it.
“No! Please!” Camille begged.
“I hate you so much! You klled I and Teresa without feeling remorseful, you left us struggling with our lives, till death finally came. You’re so heartless and don’t deserve to live a happy life.” Julie yelled.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know what came over me.” Camille said.
Julie chuckled. “I’m aware of what has come over me so it’ll be easy to take your life. I will not leave you till you suffer, even in de..ath, I will torment you.” Julie said.
“I don’t know what else to tell you than sorry, please, don’t kll me.” Camille said. She was already crying and shivering.
“You are not qualified to live, you must d!e a terr!ble and pa!nful de..ath!” Julie yelled and acted like she was going to shoot.
“No! No!” Camille screamed and ran out. “Help! Somebody help me!” Camille screamed and two of the guys in the bar ran to meet her.
“What happened?” The first one asked.
“The restroom, someone is there and she wants to kll me, help me please!” Camille cried.
“Kll you?” The second one asked.
Camille nodded.
They opened the door to the restroom but saw no one. They entered and searched but still, there was no sign of anybody. It didn’t even look like someone came in.
“Ma’am, are you sure that somebody was here?”
“I’m 100% sure. She stood there with a gvn pointed at my forehead and threatened to kll me.” Camille said.
“Are you sure that you aren’t drunk right now?”
“I’m not drunk. I really saw her, I saw her right there. Maybe you didn’t look well.” Camille snapped.
“Go check it out yourself then.”
She gulped down nothing and peeped but everywhere was empty. She became confused and scratched her head.
“I’m going ¢razy!” She yelled and hurried out of the bar.
“Gosh! When you tell them not to get drunk at a bar, they think that you’re insulting or disrespecting them. Now, look at what that one just displayed here.” The first guy said.
“I’m really tired of watching dramas by drunken ladies. Someone threatened to kll her? Pfft!” The second said and they returned to their tables.

Julie got out through the back door and Silvia shook her.
“You did well, I saw the way she was shivering like a goat ready to be slaughtered.” Silvia said.
Julie laughed. “This is just the beginning of her suffering, she hasn’t seen anything yet.”
“She will still see more than this, we will make sure she suffers terribly and start looking for where to die.” Silvia said.
“Same here, now’s your turn. Go meet her before she drives out.” Julie said.
Silvia nodded and went to meet Camille who was in her car and ready to drive out of the premises.
“Hi, Good evening ma’am.” Silvia greeted.
“What do you want?” Camille asked gingerly. She was in a hurry to leave before Julie appears to her with a gvn again.
“My name is Silvia, I am Teresa’s best friend.” She said.
“Teresa?” Camille asked.
“Yes. I moved to Miami a year and few months ago and she told me that she would be coming to visit you so you guys can deal with Camille. She has told me a lot about you.” Silvia said.
“Oh.” Camille said. Her hands were already sweaty because she knew what was going to come next.
“I returned to visit her few weeks ago and heard that she was dead. Are you aware of that?” Silvia asked.
“Not at all! She… um… She told me that she would be traveling to… um… London! Yeah, she said she couldn’t work with me anymore and decided to leave. I haven’t heard from her since then and I tried calling her but it isn’t reachable.” Camille said.
“That’s so sad,” Silvia pouted. “Can we be friends? Since you were once her friend and I was her best friend, let’s be friends so we can find out what happened to her together.” Silvia requested.
Camille thought for a while. If she refuses,Silvia would suspect her and eventually find out the truth but if she agrees, Silvia won’t suspect a thing and she would find a way to keep everything hidden.
“Okay, let’s be friends but we can’t hang out now. I have something important to deal with.” Camille said.
“Okay, thank you so much for trying to find justice for Teresa.” Silvia said.
“You’re welcome.” Camille smiled awkwardly and drove out before Silvia would say anything else.
Julie came to meet her.
“Our plan is starting to fall into place.” Silvia said.
“Yeah. She is such a bçh! Look at how she denied everything so smoothly.” Julie said.
“Once a bçh, always a bçh.” Silvia said as they left.

Elena opened the door and entered the house.
“You’re back!” Annabella hugged her. “How was your first day at work?” She asked and pulled her to sit down.
“It was cool.” She answered.
“I’m sure it was, because you spent time with the love of your life.” Annabella smiled.
Elena chuckled. “Yeah but my joy was limited because he couldn’t recognise me.” She said sadly.
“Awwwn! Don’t worry, you guys will be together when all these is finally over.” Annabella said.
“I hope so. Where is Lucas?” She asked
“In his room, working on something.” Annabella answered.
Elena stood up and alighted the stairs. She headed to his room, the door was opened but she knocked anyway.
“Come in.” He answered with eyes fixed on his laptop.
Elena entered and went to meet him.
“What are you working on?” She asked.
“Something cool that would take us to the next level of our plans.” He answered.
“Awesome!”
“Yeah. How was work today?” He asked.
“It was fine, I guess.” She said.
“You guess?” He looked at her
“It’s a long story.” She sighed.
She looked into the computer.
“That’s Camille!” She said.
“Yeah. I did a secret investigation on her while you were busy with work. I was able to gather a little information about her, where she lives? Her personal life. Also, I found something interesting.” He smirked.
“Wow! What is it?” Elena asked.
Annabella entered.
“What’s up?” She asked.
“Look at this.” Elena said.
“Somehow, I was able to get her IP address and hacked her computer system. Here is what I found.” He tapped on something and showed Elena the laptop.
Elena gasped.
“Oh My Gosh!” Annabella exclaimed.
“This is a full drafted plan.” Elena said.
“Yeah. She got pregnant, pinned it on someone else and sent the biological father away. She didn’t put the names of the characters but that’s what this plan she drafted is all about.” Lucas said.
“Could it be?” Elena gasped. “She has given birth right?”
“Yes, to a baby boy. He is up to 4 or 5 months now.” Lucas said.
Elena recalled everything that happened in the office.
“I know who she is pinning the baby on. It’s Gray!” She exclaimed.
“How?” Annabella asked.
“At the office today, she came with a baby boy in her arms. She was talking to Gray and called the baby Gray’s son.” Elena said.
“Woah!” Lucas exclaimed.
“So, she is making Gray take responsibility for the pregnancy? What a scvmbag! I want to see her in real life and teach her a bitter lesson.” Annabella said.
“What I don’t understand is that, Gray accepted that the baby was his. How did she make him believe? How did all this happen?” Elena paced to and fro.
“We’re going to find out soon but we need evidence to prove that the child isn’t his.” Lucas said.
“A DNA test would be great.” Annabella suggested.
“You’re right but we’ll need a sample from the baby and Gray himself.” Elena said.
“You can do it.” Lucas said.
“Yeah but he doesn’t let anyone come close to him, not even me.” She said.
“Then, you have to earn his trust.” Annabella said
“How?” Elena asked.
“By making him fall in love with you all over again.” Lucas said.
“All over again?” She asked.
“Yeah. Try doing things you know that Noel does to him, try making him smile and laugh. When people are heartbroken, the best way to win their heart is to give them reasons and opportunities to smile again. You can do that but don’t over do it so he won’t discover your identity.” Lucas said.
“Sounds good! How do you know all these when you haven’t been in a relationship before?” Elena asked.
“I’ve been doing some research.” He smiled.
“Cool! Seriously speaking, I want to see this lady called Camille, I’m getting impatient already.” Annabella said.
“You’ll see her soon, be patient.” Elena said.

GRAY’S OFFICE
Austin entered the office and saw Elena working on some files. He smiled and went to meet her, he had managed to make friends with her immediately he saw her in the office. Not because of anything but the fact that she reminded him of Noel, he had also been trying to sort some things out with Scarlet, he felt that she was troubled and avoiding him.
He walked past Gray, took a chair and put it in front of her desk.
“Hi.” He said and she looked up with a smile.
“No gisting in my office, Austin.” Gray said.
“Whatever!” Austin rolled his eyes and returned his attention to Elena who giggled. He hasn’t changed a bit.
Gray frowned. Must she giggle because of that? When last has she smiled or giggled whenever he told her something? For a week now, all she does was to frustrate and make him nag like a woman. Geez! She and Noel are the same thing, they just like frustrating people.
Elena looked at him and smiled, is he jealous or what?
“Hope your stay in this office has been good?” Austin asked.
“Yeah but your brother is a pain in the neck. Doesn’t he smile? Always frowning.” Elena pouted.
Austin chuckled. “It’s not his fault, he has been through a lot. You’ll know as time goes on. I would like to discuss something personal with you after work today, will you be free?” He asked.
“Sure!” She said. She smiled when she remembered the time Austin called her to tell her about Gray and asked her to mend his broken heart. She wondered if he was calling her for same thing now.
“Thanks.” He smiled.
Gray scoffed and faced his work. An idea popped in Elena’s head.
“Hey! Mr CEO!” She called.
Gray looked up. “Me?” He asked, shocked at the way she called him.
“Yes, I want you to take me out for lunch.” She requested.
“Huh?” Gray was shocked.
Austin was trying to hold his laughter.
“You know how hard I’ve worked today without eating or stopping so reward me as a good boss and take me out for lunch.” She said.
“She has some nerves!” Austin started laughing.
“You know it’s your boss you’re talking to not your houseboy right?” Gray asked.
“Yes! I’m not ordering you, just asking for an accolade as a good and hard-working employee.” She smiled cutely.
Gray was quiet, may God save him from people like this. Seriously
“If he isn’t going to take you out, I will do it. So, follow me.” Austin said.
“Shut up, Austin! I didn’t say No. Stand up, Elena. I’ll be the one to take you out for lunch.” Gray said.
Austin’s eyes widened.
Elena smiled, stood up and took her bag. Gray stood up as well, glared at Austin and left with her.
“What the he¢k just happened?” Austin asked as he still stood there in shock.

Chapter 81
“Shut up, Austin! I didn’t say No. Stand up, Elena. I’ll be the one to take you out for lunch.” Gray said.
Austin’s eyes widened.
Elena smiled, stood up and took her bag. Gray stood up as well, glared at Austin and left with her.
“What the heck just happened?” Austin asked as he still stood there in shock. He couldn’t believe that Gray actually agreed to take Elena out for lunch. He smirked, this is interesting.
Gray and Elena got out of the office, he was frowning a bit while she was smiling all through. The employees saw them but they dared not say a word else, it’s ‘fired’ for them.
He brought her to the car and wanted to go sit on the driver’s seat. Elena stood there without moving. He looked up and said, “Get into the cat or don’t you want to go for lunch again?”
Elena glanced at him repeatedly and answered, “Tsk, tsk, Mr Gray, you aren’t a gentleman at all,” She said and Gray arched his brows in a confused way. “You’re supposed to open the car door for me, like a real gentleman should.”
“Why do I feel like I’m being used?” Gray asked.
“It’s just a gentle manly approach, it’s what you’re supposed to do.” Elena said in a matter of fact manner.
Gray sighed and came to meet her. He reluctantly opened the door with a frown and she entered, muttered a “Thank you.” before he closed it. He ruffled his hair and went to the driver’s seat then asked her, “Where would you like to go and have lunch?”
Elena wanted to say food palace, she wanted to see Maureen because she missed her a lot but she was acting now. “Hello? I’m new here, I don’t know my way around San Diego, California.” She said.
“Alright,” Gray nodded and turned on the ignition. “I know a perfect place for you to have lunch.” He said.
“Where is that?” She asked.
“You’ll know when we get there.” He said and started driving. Elena smiled and rested her back on the car seat and watched him drive. How she longed to just hug him and feel the warmth of his arms again. She has controlled her self severally from yelling and telling him she was his Noel, she wanted to end his pains but she needs to take her revenge first. After that, then she would make him hers for life.

FOOD PALACE
Gray drove into the vicinity and Elena smiled cheekily. She should have known this was where he talked about, of course! This was his favorite restaurant. Why didn’t she think of that?
“Is this the place?” She asked when he packed the car.
“Yes.” He answered and got down the waited for her to come down but she refused. He knocked on her window and she wound down. “Aren’t you coming down?” He asked. She shook her head and answered, “You need to open the door for me, Mr Gray. Gosh! Don’t you watch movies?” She asked with an irritated scoff.
Gray didn’t complain, if this was Noel, he would have done all these without her telling him but this was someone else. He couldn’t believe his own personal assistant was treating him this way. He opened the door for her and she come down. “Stop frowning, I didn’t take your candy. Smile for once okay?” She beamed at him.
“Can we just go?” He asked and she pouted before replying, “Fine.” He led her into the restaurant and Maureen welcomed them. She looked around, the restaurant hasn’t changed a bit, it was just as she remembered. Maureen looked at her then back at Gray before looking at her again.
“Hi, I’m Elena.” She stretched her hands forward for a handshake. Maureen was surprised but took the hand still. “I’m Maureen, please follow me.” She smiled and led them to their table. They sat down and she took their order, her eyes were on Elena the whole time. She had a slight remembrance to Noel, she would try and make friends with her, maybe, just maybe, she would get to the bottom of this.
She looked at them from the kitchen and saw how she was talking and smiling at Gray who was frowning deeply. She took their orders and brought it to them.
“Come on, aren’t you gonna smile?” She asked.
“What is there to smile for?” He asked icily.
“Everything. I say a joke and you laugh, if you can’t laugh, just chuckle or best smile. Stop frowning like you are cursed or something.” She said and pouted with a cute expression.
Gray wanted to laugh at her expression but it turned into a chuckle instead. “You see? That wasn’t hard.” She said and he replied, “You’re a really a pain in the neck.” He said.
Maureen who had brought their order, smiled at their behavior. She wished that Gray would find love soon and regain his happiness. “Here, Enjoy.” She dropped it on the table and left.
“Wow, look at that.” Elena licked her lips.
“What? Haven’t you eaten a pasta and grilled chicken before?” He asked with an eye roll.
“I’m new here, remember?” She eyed him and started eating.
“Take it easy before you choke on your food.” Gray said.
“How can I take it easy when it’s so good!” She exclaimed and Maureen laughed from where she stood. Before Gray could utter another word, Elena started coughing. “I said that you were gonna get choked but you didn’t listen. Now, look.” He said and picked up a glass of water. He handed it to her and fed her the water, as he was feeding her the water, Camille walked in with Silvia.
Gray finished giving her the water and dropped the cup. “Thanks.” She said and smiled. “You’re welcome.” He answered.
“What did I just see you two doing?” Camille asked as she approached them.
“What did it look like?” Elena asked with an eye roll and continued eating her food. Maureen was about to come and ask for Silvia and Camille’s order but Camille used her hand and gestured her to go back.
“You slvt! How dare you try to take my man?” Camille yelled.
“Your man?” Gray and Elena asked at the same time but Elena was quickly to continue. “You mean the man I’m with now? This man right here?” Elena asked.
“You know what I’m talking about.” Camille snapped. “No, I don’t. Why not enlighten me.” Elena requested.
Camille couldn’t say anything and faced Gray who glared at her. “Why would you bring this bçh for dinner when you haven’t taken me, the mother of your child for dinner before?”
“That’s because she is better than you in all ramifications. She doesn’t force herself on someone who doesn’t want her.” Gray said and stood up. “Elena, when you’re done eating, I’ll be in the car.” With that said, he dropped a tip for the food and left the restaurant.
Elena turned back to face Camille and Silvia gasped. ‘Could this be Noel? What in the world? I will try my best to have a discussion with this lady. If she’s Noel, then our revenge would be much easier.’ She thought. Elena on the other hand recognized Silvia, she couldn’t understand why Silvia was with Camille now.
“What have you done to Gray, you wtch?” Camille asked.
“What you couldn’t do.” Elena answered nonchalantly.
“And that is?” Camille frowned.
“Winning his heart,” She said and wiped her mouth with a towel then stood up and faced Camille, eyes boring into hers. “I’d stay away from me if I were, don’t make me show you what I’m made of, because you won’t like me.” She said and walked out.
“What guts! I hate her so much!” Camille yelled.
“Who is she?” Silvia asked out of curiosity.
“Just a bçh who burst out of nowhere few weeks ago and got employed as Gray’s personal assistant. I don’t know what her motives are but I’m gonna break her bones if she dares me.” Camille blurted out in aggravation.
Silvia sighed, burst out of nowhere? “Silvia,” Camille called and she faced her. “I need your help in dealing with this lady.” Camille said. “What do you want me to do?” Silvia asked.
“We’re going to po!son her and make her lose her job. Don’t worry, we aren’t going to kll her, I’m not a mon$ter.” Camille said and Silvia scoffed internally.
“That sounds dangerous.” Silvia replied.
“If you want to avenge Teresa’s de.ath, you would have to do things more dangerous than this one. Are you doing it or not?” Camille asked. Silvia sighed, “Okay, I know a place where we can get a po!son for stomach upset alone. It won’t harm her.” Silvia said.
“Didn’t you hear when I said she needs to get fired, we need to go extreme.” Camille smirked and pulled Silvia out of the restaurant.

JULIE’S HOUSE
“So, she wants to poison this mystery girl because of Gray,” Julie snickered. “This woman sure knows how to cause troûble, don’t she? She is biting off more than she can chew.” Julie said after Silvia told her about all that happened in Food Palace.
“What do we do?” Silvia asked.
“Follow her and let’s see what she can do. As for Elena, keep your eyes on her. If she is really Noel, then God has indeed answered my prayers. We’ll join hands together and teach Camille a terrible lesson.” Julie said.
“Agreed, but what about the poison?” Silvia asked.
“We won’t let her succeed. Camille is very cunning, she might have told you that she won’t kll but that’s not what she’s thinking. Her aim is to make you kll her then put all the blame on you then when you’re out of the picture…”
“…She would be free and won’t have anyone bothering her about Teresa’s de..ath.” Silvia completed it and Julie smiled. “Exactly. So, be careful around her.” Julie said. “I will.” Silvia replied.

BACK AT THE OFFICE
Gray parked the car and stepped out. This time, he didn’t wait for Elena to ask him but opened the door for her and she came down. He closed the door and without telling her anything, wanted to leave.
“Hey! Come on, I’m not the one who made you angry.” She pouted.
“I never said that you’re the one, did I?” Gray asked.
“Okay, chill. Everything will be okay soon. Let’s forget about that, since you didn’t eat at the restaurant, what are you gonna eat?” She asked.
“Anything that would bring me happiness and close the hole in my heart, but unfortunately, there is nothing like that.” He said and walked away.
Elena sighed sadly, “I’m sorry. I wish I could tell you everything now but I can’t. There are things I need to take care of first.” She muttered.
She thought of getting him lunch from the cafeteria, so she hurried inside, ignoring the jealous stares the female employees were giving her. She went to the lunch lady and got his favorite meal and was about leaving before one of the employees known as Flora, took a juice and poured it on her.
“What the fk!” Elena exclaimed and faced the lady who was about her age angrily.
“That serves you right for being a sIvt!” The girl snapped and her minions jeered in support.
“Hey!” Noel called and the lady looked at her. “What’s your name?” She asked.
“Flora. Why did you ask of my make bitçh?” Flora asked with a smirk on her lips.
Elena smiled mischievously and said, “Mark my words Flora, you’re getting fired from this office today, I hate sht!”

Chapter 82
Flora glanced at Elena and burst into a fit of laughter, followed by the rest. “You’re really depending on who exactly? Me, get fired? I was in this company before you and know a lot about it. Do you think the CEO will fire me, just like that?” Flora asked with raised shoulders.
“Why don’t you watch and see.” Elena said and turned back. She entered the elevator leading to Gray’s office with a displeased look on her face. She would make sure she deals with them all when she gets Gray back. She has marked their faces and none of them will be able to escape her wrath when she’s done.
“Do you think what she said is true?” Debby, one of Flora’s friend said.
“Nothing will happen. She’s just being dramatic.” Flora said and went back to her lunch. She had purposely left the food to look for Elena’s trouble.

Elena walked past Raymond and Reina who looked at her in shock but couldn’t say anything. She got to the door and cleared her throat then started forming fake tears. She opened the door and went to stand in front of Gray, knowing fully well that he hates when ladies cry.
Gray examined her from head to toe. “What happened to you?” He asked worriedly.
“Since, you weren’t able to eat this afternoon because Camille spoilt your mood, I decided to get you lunch from the cafeteria, so as to plead with you for you to eat, but Flora, one of your employees called me names and poured juice all over my cIothes.” Elena said and started crying.
Gray was hurt by her tears and at the same time angry with Flora for acting that way. He took his telephone and spoke into it, “Flora Shay, report to my office immediately,” He dropped the telephone after saying that and looked at Elena who was still crying. “Please, stop crying. I can’t stand it okay?” He pleaded.
She nodded and sniffed. Gray shook his head, if this was Noel, she would have dealt with the girl without thinking twice. Elena looked fierce so why is she acting weak? He concluded that maybe, she was following the rules maybe.
Few minutes later, Flora entered the office and saw Elena standing beside Gray. She hissed and went to stand in front of Gray. “You asked to see me, sir.” She bowed.
Gray looked up from what he was doing and glanced at her. “Yes, can you explain why you buIIied Elena?” Gray requested.
“I didn’t buIiy her, sir. We were only discussing when she started calling me names and insulting me. I had no choice but to pour her juice because she used offensive words on me.” Flora lied.
Elena gasped and burst into fake tears. “What! You’re lying against me. It’s a lie, you called me a sIvt when I did nothing to you.” She said.
Gray sighed. Deep down he knew that Elena wouldn’t look for people’s trouble. Yes, he had only known her for a week but he was sure that she doesn’t use offensive words. He took his laptop and checked the camera placed in the cafeteria. That was how he saw everything that happened between Elena and Flora. He saw that Elena didn’t even raise a finger or say much. “Miss Flora, you know buIIying is against the rules of this company right?” She nodded. ” And so is false accusations.” He said and she nodded too.
“She deserves to be fired because it was clearly stated in the contract that they shouldn’t be any form of bullying, quarrel, or false accusations and if in any case there is, it means that there has been a breach of contract and the guilty one would be fired and compensate the victim.” Elena said with a smirk on her lips.
Immediately Flora heard that, she froze as if cold water was poured on her. She opened her mouth to talk but words failed her. Gray sighed, how did Elena memorize all that from the contract? He was sure that majority of his employees didn’t even know their rights. He was actually going to make Flora apologize but seeing that Elena knew her right, he would have to act fair. “Miss Flora.” He called. “Yes, sir.” She answered. “For breaching your contract and buIIying Elena then accusing her falsely, you are hereby fired from this company and is to compensate Elena with whatever she asks from you.” Gray said.
Flora looked at Elena and Elena smiled d’vilishly, giving her the ‘I told you so.’ look. Flora went on her knees and started begging. “Mr. Gray, please I’m so sorry. It won’t repeat itself again.”
“There’s nothing I can do for you, Miss Flora. Except Elena changes her mind and forgives you.” Gray said and Flora faced Elena. “I’m not forgiving you, Flora. Pouring juice on me and calling me names is one thing but accusing me of what I didn’t do is way out of the line, so pack your bags and leave this company. You’re fired!” Elena said and went to sit down.
“Um… Elena,” Gray called but she turned her back on them. “Ms. Flora, you can say goodbye to your colleagues and leave the company now.” He said. “Mr Gray, please.” She pleaded in tears. “Sorry, there’s nothing I can do. Um, Elena, do you need any compensation from her?” Gray asked. “She isn’t going to go scot free, let her come tomorrow and I’ll see what I can do.” She answered without looking back.
Gray shook his head, this is one iron lady. He gestured for Flora to leave and she ran out, crying. Gray watched Elena’s back while she smirked. ‘You just watch how I’m going to deal with who ever messes with me, I am not the weak Noel anymore, I am a new me and I will be ruthless to whoever crosses my path.’ She said within herself.

GRAY’S PARENTS PENTHOUSE
Mrs Jasmine was with Mrs Rosella watching a movie on television. Their husbands were at a business conference and won’t be back for few weeks. Damien and Miguel were around as well but were in their room playing video games with Quinn and Snow.
The door opened and Camille entered with the baby. She walked up to Mrs Jasmine and sat down beside her. Mrs Rosella was about to complain but Mrs Jasmine gave her a sign to just let it be.
“May I see my baby?” Mrs Jasmine asked.
“Your baby? Were you the one who impregnated me?” Camille asked tersely.
“He’s my grandson. Since you gave birth, you haven’t allowed me touch him for once. Let me just feel his warmth please.” Mrs Jasmine pleaded.
“No, I’m not giving my baby to you before he grows up and becomes a rapist like your son, Gray.” Camille spat out and Rosella gasped.
“I can see that you lack respect. How dare you talk to her like that?” Mrs Rosella asked.
“Just let her be, Rosy.” Jasmine said. “No, I’m not letting her be. She needs to learn that it’s not everybody she can use as a puppet. Is she ¢razy or what? If you don’t know how to talk to people older than your mother then get yourself up and get outta here.” Mrs Rosella snapped.
“Are you talking to me? After what Gray did to me, you’re talking this way?” Camille said, tearing up so that Jasmine would feel hurt.
“Gray did nothing, whatever you planned to make it all look like he raped you is a farce. Watch out and see how you’ll end if you continue like this. You’re a cheap slvt! Get out of here, I’m sick and tired of your shenanigans.” Mrs Rosella yelled and Damien came down with the rest. “Mum,I heard your voice. What’s going on?” Damien asked. “Just a wolf in sheep’s clothing.” Mrs Rosella answered.
“What are you doing here?” Miguel asked, pointing at Camille.
“What else will a d’vil like her be doing here if not to cause mayhem and lay allegations on people.” Quinn answered.
Camille was shocked. She was about to talk. “I’d keep quiet if I were you because if you dare open that mouth, I won’t hesitate to teach you a lesson by helping you shut it..” Damien said.
“Kindly do us a favour and get out of here. Ugly witch!” Snow snapped. Camille looked at Jasmine. “You heard my lovely children, get out of here. You aren’t welcome!” Jasmine said. “You all will regret this.” Camille yelled and stormed out.
“Gosh! I hate that woman to the core.” Quinn said and the rest agreed.

Camille drove to the company and got out. She was about going in when she and Elena met at the door. She looked at Elena and saw that she was stained. She held the baby and laughed.
“It’s like Mr Gray finally found out that you’re a cheap slvt! You’re fired right?” Camille laughed.
“Close that mouth of yours because it’s disgusting seeing you laugh when you’ve left others in pains.” Elena said.
“What?”
“Who owns that baby you’re carrying?” Elena asked.
“Who else than my fiancé, Gray.” She laughed. “Are you jealous or something?”
“No, I’m just curious as to why you’ll tell such a big lie to force him into marrying you. You’re a monster and people like you deserve the worst treatment on earth.” Elena said. She was sad and at the same time angry after what Gray told her in his office.
…
It happened after Flora ran out and she was left alone with him. She turned and saw that he was staring at her.
“Why are you staring at me like that?” She asked.
“After seeing what you did today, I found out that I’m a big coward.” He answered.
“I don’t understand what you’re talking about.” She said.
“Elena, I admire you alot because you’re brave and always go for what you want. You also remind me of Noel.” He said.
“You know Noel?” She asked.
“Yes, do you know her?” Gray asked.
“Yes. We became friends when she came to Los Angeles on an excursion and I was their tour guide. She was so funny and lively that we became friends immediately. She also said it’s because I look like her so we’re sisters but unfortunately, I was told that she died before I came here.” Elena said and Gray shook his head.
“I’m a coward, Elena. I couldn’t even give her justice up till now.” He said.
“Can you share what happened with me?” She asked.
Gray hesitated for a while before telling her everything. She was so hurt that she left the office and was heading out for fresh air before bumping into Camille. Now, she hated Camille more than ever.
…
“What lie are you talking about?” Camille asked.
“One, that this child doesn’t belong to Gray.” Elena said and Camille gasped. “Who told you that?” Camille asked. “I’m not a f©ol.like you. I know.” Elena replied.
Camille was dumbstruck. How on Earth did Elena find out? “He is Gray’s child. Ask him and he’ll tell you.” Camille said.
“He would tell me what, that you blackmailed him? You’re a d’vil. Before you panic, wait let me tell you the second one. You’re responsible for Noel’s de..ath, you’re the one who klled her.” Elena said and Camille’s eyes widened.
“I… I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Camille stuttered. She could feel her heart pounding hard against her ribcage.
“Stop playing ignorant with me. You’re responsible for her de..ath and I’m going to expose you. I’m telling you this, so you can try klling or doing something to me then, I’m gonna show you what I’m made of.”

“Stop playing ignorant with me. You’re responsible for her death and I’m going to expose you. I’m telling you this, so you can try klling or doing something to me then, I’m gonna show you what I’m made of.” With that said, Noel walked away.
Camille blinked twice and cleaned her eyes and ears to be sure that she saw and heard correctly. Many questions started popping into her head. Questions like, how did Elena know about Noel? What relationship do they have? How did she know that the baby isn’t Gray’s? How on Earth did she find out about Noel’s death? Could they be related somehow? Gosh! So many ‘hows’
She wanted to walk into the company but decided against it. Today hasn’t been that good for her. First, she got insulted by everyone in the Gerald’s mansion, now she just got bartered by Elena. She entered the car, made sure the baby was safeguarded before turning the car on.

CAMILLE’S HOUSE
She drove into the compound and stepped out of the car, leaving the baby in it. “Welcome, ma.” Zara greeted her but she ignored. “Go into the car, get the baby and take him to his room.” She said and hurried to the living room. Zara sighed as she rushed to the car.
“Why give birth to a baby when you know you can’t take care of him, why even get pregnant in the first place.” She frowned, took the baby and left for the baby’s room.
Camille called Levi the moment she stepped into the living room. “Levi.” She called.
“Yes, ma.” Levi answered and came to her then bowed. “Tell me about what you found on that Elena girl.” Camille ordered. “Okay, I also took some pictures.” Levi said and handed them over to her. Camille collected the pictures and stared at them with creased brows. “Who are these in the pictures? The guy and the little girl? Is she married?”
“No, those are her siblings. It seems that they’re very rich because they’re living in that glamorous estate just 6 blocks before us and 2 blocks before Gray’s house.” Levi said.
“No wonder she acts like she is on top of the world. What else did you find?” Camille asked, flipping through the pictures. “That’s what I’ve been able to gather.” Levi answered. “Keep following and trailing her. She knows things about Noel’s de..ath and this child, I have no idea where she got the information from, so let’s be careful.” Camille said.
“Isn’t it better to just back out of this? I think that girl is dangerous. Forget that she wears suit to the office, she dresses like a mafia at home.” Levi said. “Do you know the exact place her house is?” Camille asked, ignoring his earlier statement. “Yes, but-”
“Take me there, I want to see for myself.” She said and stood up. Levi sighed and nodded then she followed him. They entered the car and he drove out, heading down to the estate. When they got there, Camille got down and looked around. The houses were very huge and they all looked identical.
“Which is hers?” She asked, trying to hide her surprise. She actually felt intimidated. “The first one you’re seeing right now.” Levi said.
Immediately he said that, they saw Elena coming out of the house with a guy and girl. She wore Jean trousers, white tank top and black jacket then sneakers to match. Her hair was let down in waves making the red dye at the end very visible, fitting her perfectly. She was laughing and smiling brightly with the guy and girl.
Elena sighted Camille from afar and Annabella smirked. “Is she the one?” Annabella asked, balling her fists. Elena had told them all that happened when she returned home to change her clothes. “Yes.” Elena answered. “Act like you didn’t see them and let’s go.” Lucas said. “But we already saw her. Acting like that won’t be fun.” Annabella whined.
“Why do you like trouble a lot?” Lucas asked and she smiled. “Because trouble doesn’t like me.” Annabella said. “She is right, I want to see the fear in her eyes once again.” Elena laughed. “Alright, since the two of you are so troublesome_” He couldn’t finish his statement as Elena dragged him outside the gate.
Camille was startled when she saw them because she was actually lost staring at them.”Are you looking for someone?” Elena asked with a smug look on her face. Camille cleared her throat and stared at them. “Um… Yes… The person is a friend of mine. Why are you asking?” Camille asked, trying to sound brave.
“Nothing,” Elena shrugged. “This is the first time I’m seeing you here so, I was curious.” Elena gave her a smile which didn’t reach her eyes. “Um, Elena, look_”
“I thought that you were here to see someone. What are you calling my name for?” Elena asked. “I want us to talk.” Camille said. “Sorry, I don’t talk to murderous bçhes.” Elena said, looked at Levi and started walking away.
“I’ve got my eyes on you, Camille.” Annabella said and followed Elena. Lucas shrugged and left too. “You see what I told you about.” Levi said. “That lady needs to be taken care of. No one messes with me and go scot free, no one dares to blackmail me.” Camille said.
“I’m sensing things getting out of hand, please quit while there is still peace.” Levi warned. “Shut up! Don’t test my patience, Levi, else you will be next on my list.” She warned and entered the car. “I’ll be next? To be klled? Before that happens, I will make sure nemesis catch up with you.” He muttered and entered the car.

A GARDEN AND RELAXATION CENTER
Scarlet had promised to take them around the place. They were seated on the table, taking smoothies when Scarlet suddenly asked a question.
“So, who is the senior between you both?” She asked, pointing at Lucas and Elena. Lucas cleared his throat and waited for Elena to talk. Elena on the other hand was waiting for him to talk.
“Her.” Lucas suddenly answered.
“Wow! I asked because you two look like agemates. Now, tell me, why this bada$s look all the time?” Scarlet asked Elena. “That’s my style, hope nothing is wrong with it?” Elena asked. “Not at all. It’s just that I would love to see you in a simple dress for once.” Scarlet said and they laughed. “Don’t worry, you’ll see that soon.” Elena said.
Annabella looked to her right and saw a man selling make up kits. She saw that they were the latest designs, a design any lady would die to have. A d’vilish smirk appeared on her lips and she stood up. “I want to go buy a make up kit.” She said. “You already have one, what do you need that one for?” Lucas asked. “For something very important.” She said. “Like what?” Elena asked. “A prank.” She said and ran to meet the man so as to avoid further questions.
“She’s so cute.” Scarlet said. “Cute and mischievous.” Lucas said. “So, Mr Lucas, do you have a girlfriend?” Scarlet asked and he choked on his drink. “Hope nothing is wrong with my question? Sorry, I’m just too curious.” Scarlet said.
“It’s nothing. Come on bro, answer her question, do you have a girlfriend?” Elena asked and he blushed. “A-hem, no I don’t.” He answered. “What! A cute guy like you has no girlfriend?” Scarlet exclaimed. “I was thinking same thing. I think it’s high time you get a girlfriend, little brother.” Elena ruffled his hair and he laughed. “Go get me one then.” He said.
“Really? With pleasure, I’m sure you’ll love the bartender over there. She looks hot.” Elena said, pointing at the lady who served them smoothies. “No, please. She ain’t my type.” Lucas said and they laughed. “You’ll find the right person very soon.” Scarlet said and he smiled.
Annabella returned with two make up kits. “I thought you said that you were buying only one.” Elena said. “Yeah but I decided to purchase another one for our beautiful friend. Her beauty needs this classic and fancy make up kit.” Annabella said and gave one to Scarlet. “Wow! Thank you so much.” Scarlet smiled and collected it. “But you bought nothing for me. Do you love her more than me now?” Elena asked. “You already have more than enough.” Annabella said and they laughed. “So, what prank are you planning to pull?” Lucas asked and she smirked mischievously.
They left the garden and Scarlet took them to see more places. After that, they parted ways and Elena returned home with the rest.

Elena was busy on some files in her laptop. She sighed and wiped sweat away from her forehead. If she was Noel, she would have been resting without doing anything right now.
She took a paper, folded it into a ball and threw it at Gray. Gray looked up from his laptop after the stuff h it him and eyed her. “Mr Gray, I’m hungry and want to go for lunch.” She pouted.
“No, you’ll be served lunch here. I don’t want another employee getting fired because of you.” He replied and she laughed. “They got fired because they don’t know the rules.” She said. “Yeah, duh!” Gray rolled his eyes. “Stop that, you look like a sassy diva.” She said. Gray laughed and shook his head. This lady was something else. He took the paper she threw at him and threw it back at her. “Hey!” She glared. “You did it first, so I have gotten my revenge, now we’re even.” He said and she pouted.
“You’re not a gentleman at all. What kind of a gentleman h its a lady with a paper ball?” She complained. “This one.” He pointed to himself. She crumpled her face in a funny way and Gray laughed. Austin entered and saw Gray laughing while Elena was pouting. He smiled and went to sit in front of her. “Hey babe.” He called, waiting to see Gray’s reaction and as expected, Gray frowned. Elena giggled, making Gray’s frown to deepen.
“Good day, Austin. You look good today.” She complimented and he smiled. Gray looked at himself and back at Elena. ‘She complimented Austin but didn’t compliment me, hmph! So partial.’ Gray thought, still looking at them.
“Thanks, Elena. You aren’t looking so bad yourself. Infact, you look tantalizing and delicious.” Austin said. He was enjoying the look on Gray’s face right now.
“Pfft! Is she food that she will be delicious?” Gray muttered with a frown.
“Oh! thank you, Austin. You sure know how to flatter a lady.” Elena said, stealing glances at Gray who was trying hard to control himself from yelling. She laughed inwardly, ‘Sorry, my love. I’ll have to make you jealous for a while.’ she thought.
“Do you know why I said that?” Austin asked her. He knew she was playing along as well, so he was waiting for how he would laugh when Gray won’t be able to take it anymore. “No, tell me.” Elena answered, batting her lashes. Gray scoffed but didn’t look away from them.
“I said that because, you’re the most beautiful lady I’ve ever seen. Not just that, but because you’re special and friendly.” Austin said. Elena smiled dreamily at him and Gray held his pen tight to the extent that the pen started cracking, wanting to break.
“Awwn! Austin, that’s the most nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. You’re really a gentleman.” Elena said.
“It’s my pleasure. How about we go out for lunch together?” He asked. Elena was about to answer when Gay stood up and went to meet them.
“Thanks, Austin. You have overstayed your welcome in my office. It’s time for you to leave!” Gray said. Elena wanted to laugh out loud but held it in.
“Wait! Let her accept my invitation for lunch first.” Austin said. “No! Go and have lunch with your fiancee and stop disturbing Elena.” Gray said.
“But_” Austin couldn’t finish his statement as Gray raised him up, dragged him and pushed him out of the office then locked the door.

“But_” Austin couldn’t finish his statement as Gray raised him up, dragged him and pushed him out of the office then locked the door.
Elena who had been quietly watching everything burst into laughter while Gray looked at her helplessly.
“Gosh, Mr Gray, you’re very funny.” She said and laughed again.
“There’s nothing funny about that, Elena. Why are you always spending your work hours with him when you should be focusing on the files I gave you to work on?” He asked with a displeased look on his face.
“You didn’t complain when he came in, why are you complaining now? Tell me, Mr Gray. Are you by any chance jealous?” She asked and smirked.
“Jealous! No! Why would I be?” He scoffed.
“I don’t know, why would you be?” She asked and he kept quiet. “Don’t mind me, I was only asking. But, if you were jealous, then trust me, your jealous expression is cute.” She said and smiled.
Gray didn’t know when he smiled. Like a tamed lion, he went back to his seat and sat down. Elena smiled, ‘What a childish lover I’ve got here.’ she chuckled and continued working. “Elena,” He called and she looked up. “You said your were hungry earlier. Why not go to the cafeteria and get something to eat.” He said and her face lit up.
“Wow! Thank you. I thought I was gonna starve to de..ath.” She said and ran out.
Gray chuckled. Why is she exactly like Noel? He remembered the other time when Austin and Noel would make him jealous like this. But wait, why is he jealous whenever Austin is with Elena? What was happening to him? He took her as Noel and felt his heart beating for her. He couldn’t comprehend what was going on, could he be falling in love with Elena? But he doesn’t want to love anyone. Why is his heart doing this to him? He waved his thoughts away and focused on the laptop.
Elena ran out of the office and stood at the reception. Raymond decided to try his luck again. He didn’t know why, but he found himself wanting to make friends with this scary lady. “Hi.” He waved and to his astonishment, she smiled.
“Hello Raymond, how are you today?” She asked.
“I’m fine. Are you off for lunch?” He asked.
“Yes.” She answered.
“So am I, let’s go together then.” He said, ignoring the signals that Reina was giving him.
“Sure, let’s go.” She smiled and he followed her. He thanked God for making him so lucky to talk to her today. When they arrived at the cafeteria, some of the employees moved back in fear when they saw Elena. No one wanted to get fired like Flora.
“Just look at her, so wicked and cheap.” Debby, Flora’s friend muttered as Elena walked by thinking she won’t hear her but Elena heard and stopped in her tracks. She turned back and walked up to Debby with a smirk on her lips.
“Repeat what you just said.” She ordered.
Debby gulped. “I didn’t say anything.” She lied.
“Do I look like I’m deaf?” Elena snapped and Debby shook her head. “Well, since you aren’t gonna repeat what you’ve said, go and meet Mr Gray, tell him that you want to resign and get your resignation letter ready else I’ll make sure you get fired by myself.” Elena said. She didn’t wait for Debby to talk before walking away. Raymond shuddered, this was one scary lady. Oh God! He prayed never to get on her bad side. They went to the lunch lady and took their order before sitting on an empty table.
“So, how may I help you?” Elena asked Raymond, after she started eating.
“Erm…” He glared his throat. “I just wanted us to be friends, that’s all.” He said and she stared at him for a while before sighing.
“You’re thinking I’m Noel too right?” She asked and he kept quiet. “I’m not Noel, okay? People have look alikes everywhere. I’m getting tired of people referring a dead person to me.” She said.
“Sorry if it makes you feel like that. It’s just that we can’t help it. Losing Noel was like losing a precious gem. Since she died, everything changed, the company was no longer lively, our boss was no longer his cheerful self, there was a time that he almost committed sui¢ide but Austin stopped him. We all loved her so much, I loved her as well because she was different and the most humble and funny lady I’ve ever come across.” Raymond said and Elena blinked her tears away.
“It’s okay. Things happen for a reason, now cheer up and eat. I’ll be your friend.” She said and he smiled before starting to eat.
After they had finished eating, they stood up and dropped the plates. “You go on without me, I’ll be right back.” Elena said, he nodded and she left for Austin’s office.

AUSTIN’S OFFICE
Elena opened the door and entered. She didn’t even wait for him to tell her before helping herself with a seat. Austin chuckled and said, “You’re just like her.”
“Like who?” She asked.
“Noel,” He answered and she just smiled. “Well, let’s get to why I called you here.” He said, his face turning serious. Elena had never see Austin this serious before, what could be wrong? She became worried immediately.
“Okay, hope all is well.” She said.
“I wish I could tell you that all is well, Elena because it would be a relief to me as well.” He said.
“Tell me what’s bothering you then, I will try and help you if I can.” She said.
“It’s about Scarlet, she’s avoiding me.” Austin said, sadly.
“Avoiding you? The Scarlet I know loves you so much.” She blurted out.
“Huh?” Austin asked.
“Urm, what I meant was that, I’ve met Scarlet and I’ve known her, she always talked about you. She said that she loves you so much.” Elena said, hoping that Austin would buy her lie.
Austin knew she was lying but didn’t want to probe further. “If you say so. Ever since Noel’s death, she came back from Chicago and we met. Everything was going well but later, I noticed that she started avoiding me. She doesn’t visit me like she used to, she doesn’t talk much to me whenever we meet and anytime I call her, she would be in haste to end the call.” Austin said.
Noel sighed. “Did you guys have an argument or something?” She asked.
“Not at all. I don’t know why she’s doing that either. I’m telling you, so that you can help me talk to her, I love her so much whether she’s right in whatever she’s doing or wrong. I will always support her and be by her side, if she’s in any kind of difficult condition, I’ll love her more and comfort her. I can’t bear to lose her please.” He said.
“Don’t fret, Austin. I’m gonna talk to her. One thing I know is that, Scarlet loves you and will always love you. Don’t worry. I’ll take my leave now before your jealous friend catches me here.” She said and Austin laughed.
“Yeah, thanks for your help.” He smiled.
“Anytime!” She smiled and stepped out. She headed to Scarlet’s office. It was now that everything dawned on her, Scarlet normally shared an office with Austin. Why on Earth is she in a separate one? Elena thought as she entered Scarlet’s office.
Scarlet looked up from her laptop and smiled. “Elena, welcome. What brings you to my office today?” She asked.
“I just wanted to see how you’re doing and also have a word with you, if you don’t mind.” Elena said and sat down.
“Of course not! You can talk to me.” Scarlet left what she was doing and sat down well.
“Scarlet, do you trust me?” Elena asked.
“Not as much as I trust Noel, but yeah, I trust you.” She said.
“Okay. Will you believe me when I say that, Austin loves you so much?” Elena asked.
“Yes, I know Austin loves me a lot. He is the best!” She smiled.
“Then why are you avoiding him? He is dying mentally, forget that he is masking it with a smile. Tell me the truth, what’s going on?” Elena asked.
Scarlet sighed. “Promise me that you won’t tell anyone what I’m about to tell you.”
“You have my word on that.” Elena said and she sighed.
“I only told Noel about this, now I’m going to tell you. It all happened at a club few years ago…” Scarlet narrated everything to Elena and she acted surprise. “Right now, I feel so dirty around him. It wasn’t my fault that the pregnancy got ab©rted but I’m still ashamed of myself. I love Austin a lot and it hurts me that he’s feeling this way but I’m too embarrassed to face him. What is he going to think of me?” She asked in tears.
“You’ll never know what he’ll think till you try and tell him. I’m sure he will give you a positive answer because he truly loves you.” Elena said.
Scarlet was quiet for a while before making up her mind to tell him. “This is all Camille’s fault!” Scarlet snapped.
Elena sat up at the mention of Camille. “What did she do?”
“I forgot about all these and lived my life happily but Camille threatened to expose me because I suspected her for Noel’s de..ath. She said she would tell my parents and make my father’s bIood pressure rise if I dare mention that she klled Noel. She said that I was laying false allegations on her.” Scarlet said.
Elena balled her fists angrily. So, this is what Camille has been doing? “Calm down okay? Just create a time and tell him. I’m sure that he will understand.” Elena said.
“Thank you so much.” Scarlet sniffed back her tears.
“I’ll see you soon.” Elena stood up and waved goodbye to Scarlet. Scarlet waved back and she left the office. She would make sure she hasten up and treat Camille a bitter lesson for hurting the people she love.

After work that day, she refused to allow Gray carry her and decided to trek home. She started walking along the road and it was getting a bit dark. She tried hailing down cabs but none stopped for her.
Soon, there was a heavy downpour and she hid at a corner to stay away from the rain else it would ruin her mask and she might catch a cold. Not quite long, she saw four figures coming her way. She stepped down and wanted to walk out but they surrounded her.
“You look pretty and hot, babe.” One of them said and tried to touch her chest but she gave him a dirty sIap.
“Try such nonsense with me next time and I’ll remove your rotten teeth along with your bald head.” She said.
The remaining three rushed towards her and within 2 minutes, she had beaten the living daylight out of them. They fell on the floor and became unconscious. The one she sIapped picked up a gvn and was about to shoot her but she picked a stone and h it it on his forehead. He passed out immediately.
“Jerks! You aren’t even strong enough.” She spat out. No one needed to tell her that these was all planned by Camille.
She heard footsteps and quickly picked up the gvn the other guy dropped. She walked to where she heard footsteps from and saw a guy. She knew who he was right away. He was about to run but she dragged him back and pinned him to the wall then pointed the gvn at his forehead.
“Start telling me everything you know, Levi. Else, I’ll blow your head off this instant. I am not afraid to empty your skull here and now!”

“Start telling me everything you know, Levi. Else, I’ll blow your head off this instant. I am not afraid to empty your skull here and now!” Elena said and Levi gulped down.
“So, what do you think that you would gain by klling me?” Levi asked.
“Camille would be in sorrow that she has lost one of her men.” Elena said and he chuckled.
“And who told you that she would be in sorrow? She would be very happy to have me out of the picture.” Levi said.
“Why?” Elena asked, her voice turning soft.
“Because, I’m the only one that knows about every evil thing she had done. You want revenge on her right? If you kll me, then you’re no different from her.” Levi said and Elena gasped.
Slowly, her grip on him loosened and she left him but she was cautious to prevent him from running away. “Look, Levi, I’m not someone who can shed blood to get whatever she wants but sometimes, even circumstances push us into doing what we don’t wanna do. It would be better for the both of us if you start talking.” She said.
“You don’t need to force me, miss Elena. I’ll talk, I’ve held everything in my heart for so long that I need someone to talk to, someone to tell everything, so that the weight I’m carrying in my heart will be less.” He said with so much hurt in his eyes.
“Is it really that bad?” Elena asked.
“Yeah. Camille is a d’vil. I’ve advised her to back out of this but she threatened to kll me instead. I have made a decision that before she klls me, I would make things right by exposing her. Thank God you’re here. I have some recordings of her admitting to the fact that she klled Noel. Also, that baby she is with is for Chris and not Gray. Nothing happened between her and Gray that night. She is also responsible for the de..ath of Teresa and Julie.” Levi said.
Elena gasped at all she had heard. “Teresa and Julie are d..ead?”
“Yes. She klled them even before she liked Noel. Do you know them?” Levi asked.
“Somehow.” She answered and he gave her the recordings. She collected them and smiled at him. “Thanks for making my work easier.”
“You’re welcome, I’ll also try my best and record more. Please, hurry and expose her because she is planning on forcing Gray into marrying her.” Levi said.
“Not on my watch. Levi, can you work for me now?” She asked.
“Do you trust me already?” He asked.
“I don’t trust you a bit but if you want to earn my trust, you have to work for it by helping me bring Camille down. That way, you won’t go down with her.” Elena said.
“Are you serious?” He smiled.
“Yes.”
“Then, I’ll work for you. I’ll bring you any information you need.” He said.
“Good.”
“You have to get going now, before you catch a cold.” Levi said.
“Yeah. You leave first.” She said.
He bowed and left the place, feeling good for himself. It felt so good to finally tell someone what has been bothering him.
Elena looked at the record tapes she was holding and dropped the gvn. The rain had reduced a bit and she was already soaked. She swore to bring her car next time. She started trekking down the road and put the record tapes in her handbag, so that the rain won’t ruin it.
“Fk it! When am I gonna see a cab today?” She asked herself. She sighed and touched her mask, thank God it was still intact. It was supposed to be a normal face then why wouldn’t it be intact. She chuckled at her own dumbness and continued trekking. Tonight was gonna be a long night.
A car horned at her and she stopped. The car stopped beside her and the window wound down. Gray was sitting there with a worried look on his face. Elena smiled inwardly, what a life saver!
“Come in, Elena. You’re gonna catch a cold.” He said. “I might wet your car seat. Just go, I can manage.” She said but he shook his head. “It’ll get washed, get in, now!” He ordered. “Okay.” She smiled and got in then sat down on a seat a bit far from him.
“Thanks.” She said and he smiled. “I thought you left work a while ago, why aren’t home yet?” He asked.
“I couldn’t get a cab before the the rain started, so I decided to stay in a corner and wait but it seems that the rain wouldn’t stop soon. That’s why I decided to trek home.” She explained.
“Okay.” He saw that she was shivering a little and removed his coat then wrapped it around her. She looked at him cutely and smiled. “Thanks.”
“My pleasure, where do you live, so that we can drop you off.” Gray said.
“No, Mr Gray. You don’t need to.” She said.
“No, I insist.” He said.
She sighed. “D’Ville Estate.” She called and the driver nodded.
“D’Ville Estate?” Gray asked.
“Yeah, that’s where I stay with my brother and sister.” She said.
“You have siblings?” He asked.
“Yeah.” She chuckled.
Gray was surprised. He didn’t expect her to be in D’Ville Estate, that was only two blocks away from his house. Also, it’s only rich people that can afford it. So, she is from a rich family. Then what is she looking for as a mere personal assistant? Suddenly, her phone rang. It was Lucas calling, she smiled but didn’t pick the call.
“Why won’t you pick your call?” Gray asked.
“It’s my brother, I don’t want to answer the call, since we’re already close to the house.” She said and Gray nodded.
They got home and Gray helped her down. “Why don’t you come in for hot tea since it’s already cold outside.” She said.
“Okay.” He answered and followed her. They got to the gate and since the security knew who they were, he opened the door. Elena went to their house and knocked. They waited for a while before the door was opened by a very handsome guy.
“Oh my gosh! Elena! Thank God you’re alright.” Lucas said and didn’t know when he hugged her. “You didn’t know how worried I was, I called you few minutes ago but you didn’t answer.” He said.
Gray who was burning with jealousy calmed down when he said he called her few minutes ago. Which means that, this was the brother she talked about.
“It’s okay, I’m fine.” She said and he pulled away from the hug. That was when he noticed that she was with someone. Elena saw how he looked at Gray, “This is Gray, my boss. He was the one who helped me get here.” She said.
“Oh, thank you and welcome sir. Please, come in.” He said and Gray entered with Elena.
Annabella was returning from her room when she saw Elena. “You’re back!” She screamed and ran to hug her. She pulled from the hug and saw Gray. “OMG, who is this hottie?” She asked with her eyes wide open. Gray chuckled at her expression, she was obviously drooling.
“He is Mr Gray, my boss. Please, sit down while I go freshen up and make tea.” She said and Gray nodded before sitting down. She rushed up the stairs to have her birth and change into something better.
Annabella went to sit beside Gray. “Tell me why you’re so handsome.” She said and Gray chuckled while Lucas watched closely. He only saw Gray in pictures but not in person. He was even hotter in person, Noel was really lucky.
“Mr Gray, you haven’t answered me. Why are you so hot?” She asked. “Well, if you don’t wanna talk, let me introduce myself. My name is Annabella Wilson, that’s Lucas over there, Elena is our sister and we love each other so much. Now, introduce yourself.” Annabella said.
“Okay. I’m Gray Gerald, I have a junior brother too, his name is Miguel.” Gray said.
“Awwn! Even your voice is sexy.” Annabella said.
“Annabella!” Lucas called warningly.
“What! Please allow me drool while he is still here. Do you think it’s everyday that I’ll be lucky to see someone this handsome? If I were older, I would have proposed to him by myself.” Annabella said and Gray laughed.
“Seriously?” Lucas rolled his eyes.
“What? Are you jealous of him?” Annabel asked and smirked.
“Jealous? Why would I be jealous of him when I’m more handsome?” Lucas said, flicking his hair backwards in a dramatic manner, making Gray laugh.
“Says who? He is more handsome than you are. Look at those perfect eyes and dreamy lips, Gosh! Those lips were made to be kssed.” Annabella said.
“How old are you?” Gray asked, laughing.
“I’m 16 years old.” She answered.
“And you talk like this?” Gray asked.
“Why? Don’t you like it?” She pouted.
“Yes, he doesn’t.” Lucas answered and she eyed him.
Gray laughed. He loved their childish behavior, even Quinn didn’t behave like this.
Elena got down from the stairs with a cup of hot tea. She had already changed to pink kitty pajamas.
“Here is your tea.” She smiled and dropped it on the table. Gray looked up and saw her, he didn’t know when he started staring at her. She looked so cute in those pajamas, he could no longer see the tough and confident lady who was fearless but all he could see now was a cute and humble young lady.
“Mr Gray, are you okay?” Annabella winked at Elena and asked.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks for the tea.” He said and she smiled.
Elena went to sit beside Lucas while Gray sipped his tea.
“Elena, Annabella said that Gray is more handsome than me, tell me, is it true?” Lucas asked.
Gray stopped sipping his tea and faced Elena, waiting for what she would say. Elena scratched her head and glared at Lucas, why would he ask her such a question now?
“Um… It’s pretty hard to decide because both of you are good looking.” Elena said.
“No, I want you to pick one person. Consider me, your little brother.” He made a baby face and Elena laughed.
“Oh, little brother,” She patted his head. “You are more handsome. Do you feel better now?” Elena asked and he nodded.
Gray almost choked at his drink and they looked at him. “Are you okay?” Elena asked.
“Yes, I am. I almost choked.” He said and smiled.
Elena stood up and walked up to him then bent and whispered in his ears. “Forget about my brother, you’re more handsome.” She said and went back to sit down. Gray couldn’t help but smile like a teenager in love.
“Mr Gray, why are you blushing?” Annabella asked and they laughed.
“No, I’m not blushing. I just…” He trailed off and smiled.
“You don’t need to defend yourself, I get your point. But, it isn’t wrong for guys to blush.” Annabella said.
“Try and understand me, I wasn’t blushing. I only smiled.” He said.
“Then, what did my sister tell you that made you smile huh?” She asked and he kept quiet. He looked at Elena with a ‘help me!’ look on his face but she laughed instead.
“Um… Annabella, I have to go now.” He said and wanted to stand up but she dragged him back and made him sit down.
“No, mister, you aren’t going anywhere. I am not done with you yet!”

Chapter 86
“Um… Annabella, I have to go now.” He said and wanted to stand up but she dragged him back and made him sit down.
“No, mister, you aren’t going anywhere. I am not done with you yet!” She yelled.
Gray facepalmed. “Okay, what do you want me to get for you?” Gray asked.
Annabella rolled her eyes. “Mr Gray, I am not a child that you can bribe with material things, but since you asked, I want you to get something for me. Apparently, my wicked senior sister and brother refused to buy it.” She said.
“What is it? I’ll buy it for you.” Gray said.
“There is a Fresno girl doll that I’ve been asking them to get me for a week now. It is so beautiful and is about my height.” She answered and showed him in her phone. “Look.”
“We refused to buy it because it’s very expensive. The money for that doll alone can build a restaurant.” Lucas said.
“Stop whining like a woman.” Annabella said and gave Gray the puppy eyes. “Will you buy it for me?” She asked.
“Of course, I’ll buy it for you.” Gray answered and she shrieked for joy.
“Wow! Really?”
“Yeah. I’ll come pick you up tomorrow, and you’ll choose the one you want.” Gray said.
“Mr Gray, you don’t have to_”
“I insist, Elena. Anna is a sweet girl, so, that’s the least I can do for her.” He said.
“Lucas, did you hear that? I’m a sweet girl.” She stuck out her tongue to Lucas and he scoffed.
“Thanks for the tea, Elena. I will be on my way now.” Gray said and stood up.
“Awwn! Can’t you stay a bit longer?” Annabella whined.
“I would love to but I have some work spread out on the table waiting for me to attend to.” He said.
“Okay, please, visit us as much as you like.” She said and Elena laughed.
“No problem.” He said.
Elena stood up and escorted him to the car. The rain had already stopped and the weather was now very cold.
“So, we’ll see at work tomorrow.” Gray said.
“Yeah. Thanks for putting up with Annabella, she can be very disturbing at times.” Elena said.
“It’s nothing. I actually like her, being free with everybody and expressing herself openly. Your siblings are just great!” He said and she smiled.
“Thanks. Goodnight and rest well, don’t overwork yourself. You deserve to rest.” She said.
“Sure, thanks.” He smiled and bade her farewell then entered the car. Elena stood there till the car drove out of sight. She sighed and entered inside.
“Your fiance is very hot! Why didn’t you tell me he was this cute?” Annabella asked.
“I told you that he was handsome.” Elena chuckled.
“Yeah, but you didn’t tell me that he was a Demi god.” Annabella said.
“She’s right, he is handsome and the most luckiest man in the world to have you. I can’t wait to see his face when he knows who you truly are, I bet he would kss you so deep.” Lucas said.
“Lucas!” Elena blushed and screamed. They started laughing. Elena wanted to sit on where Gray stood up from but something obstructed her. She looked down and saw Gray’s wallet and room keys.
“Oh No! He forgot his wallet and room keys. Gray doesn’t sleep in any other room except from his, I have to return it to him.” She said.
“It’s already getting late.” Lucas said.
“At least, it’s not too late, he really needs this key. I’ll also use that opportunity to give him his suit jacket.” She said.
“I’m coming with you.” Annabella said.
“No, you’re not. I’ll just go give him and return immediately. Lucas, don’t even think of following me.” She said and he groaned because that was exactly what he was planning.
“Fine, be safe.” He said and she smiled.
She ran upstairs and took the suit jacket then rushed out of the house. Luckily, Gray’s house wasn’t far from theirs, she was there within 10 minutes. She knocked on the gate and they asked of her ID card. She showed them the one at work with Gray’s signature and they let her in.
She inhaled and exhaled before walking to the door. She knocked and after a while the door opened, revealing Lia whose mouth opened in shock on seeing her.

CAMILLE’S HOUSE
Levi drove into the compound and came down from the car. He tried his best to look as sad as possible even though he was very happy inside. He went to the sitting room and Camille asked, “Is she dead?”
“No ma, she beat up the men.” Levi said.
“You must be joking! How can a lady beat up six hefty men, how is that possible?” Camille asked.
“I don’t know but I saw it with my own eyes. I even filmed it, incase you wouldn’t believe me.” Levi said. He actually filmed it by himself so as to convince Camille and distract her from asking him stupid questions.
“Seriously!” She said and collected the phone. She watched how Elena dealt with the men and threw the phone.
“Woah! There goes my phone.” Levi said and sighed.
“What of the drug?” She asked.
“You said aphrodisiacs, I’m not sure if you meant it or_”
“Will you shut up and go get me the drug?” She snapped.
“But, it’s dangerous. It would make her crave for sx.” Levi said.
“That’s my plan! Imagine what Gray will think when his precious personal assistant starts str!pping right before his very eyes.” She said and laughed.
Levi shook his head, Camille has totally gone ¢razy. Elena must hear this, so, she can avoid it.
“Okay, how are you going to achieve it?” Levi asked.
“You know Flora Shay, the lady that got fired right?” Camille asked.
“Yes.”
“I saw her by a corner crying and cursing Elena when I was about entering the company, so, I told her that she should get revenge. So, I’m going to put the drug in a drink and she would offer the drink to Elena as a sign of apology anytime she is summoned to the office. Am I not brilliant?” She laughed.
“Yeah, you are.” Levi said sarcastically. He picked up his phone whose screen was already damaged but it was still manageable, at least, he could still use it to call Elena.
“Don’t worry, I’ll get you a new one tomorrow.” She said and turned her attention to the television.
He entered the car and drove out. When he got to the store, he took his phone out and called Elena. He was lucky to have gotten her number through the research he made about her online.

BACK AT GRAY’S MANSION
“Hi.” She waved at Lia who was lost staring at her.
“H… H… Hi.” Lia said.
Elena wanted to laugh at Lia’s shocked expression but composed herself. “Um, my name is Elena, I am Mr Gray Gerald’s personal assistant. He forgot his wallet and room keys, so I brought them for him.” She said.
“Oh, come in.” Lia said and Elena walked in.
As she entered, Gray was alighting the stairs.
“Lia, did you see my room ke_” He paused when he saw Elena. “You’re here.” He said and she smiled.
“Yeah. You forgot your wallet and room key at my place, so I decided to bring them to you, and to also use that opportunity to give you your suit jacket.” She said.
“Wow! Thanks a lot. I wouldn’t have had anywhere to sleep tonight.” He said and collected them from her.
“You’re welcome.”
“I’ll be on my way now.” She said.
“Won’t you stick around for dinner?” Lia asked.
Elena wanted to say no but she had actually missed Lia’s cooking. It would feel so good to taste her delicious meal again but she wanted to do shakara small.
“No, thanks. I’ll be leaving.” She said but Lia dragged her back.
“Please, stay and eat. I’ll go freshen up and join you guys.” Gray said and went upstairs.
“Come on to the living room and wait while I set the dining table. Also, don’t mind those troublemakers there.” Lia said.
“Troublemakers?” Elena asked.
“Yeah.” Lia answered and rushed to the kitchen.
Elena wondered who the troublemakers she was talking about were. She was about going in when her phone rang. She went to a corner and answered the call.
“Hi, who is on the line?” She asked.
“It’s me, Levi.” He answered from the other end.
“Sorry, Levi, but I can’t talk now.” She said.
“This is very important, you need to hear it else you might lose your job.” He said.
“Okay, I’m all ears.” She said.
Levi started telling her everything and her countenance changed immediately. After he finished, she thanked him and ended the call. Camille has really gone far this time.
She took her phone and texted Lucas to do some research on Silvia and Julie for her. Then, another on Chris, she needed to meet these three people, so she can know how many enemies she has and how many friends she has.
She sighed and entered the living room. To her surprise, Quinn, Damien, Miguel and Snow were there. They had actually came to study with Miguel but couldn’t leave because of the rain. They all stared at her with their questioning eyes and she gulped in. So, these were the troublemakers, Lia was talking about.
She facepalmed internally. What kind of temptation is this? Why must she come face to face with her sister here?
“Are you gonna continue staring at us or are you gonna come sit down?” Miguel asked and she rolled her eyes. He is still the same.
She ignored their stares and took a seat opposite them. She noticed that, Quinn was just staring at her and not wanting to look away. She tried her best not to look at Quinn.
“What’s your name?” Quinn asked.
“Elena, what’s yours?” Elena asked.
“My name is Quinn, this is Snow, Damien and Miguel.” Quinn introduced and they all waved at her.
“So, why are you in my brother’s house?” Miguel asked.
“I came to return something of his. I am his new personal assistant.” She said and they mouthed an ‘O’
“I must say, Miss Elena, you look beautiful.” Damien said, smiling at her adorably.
“Thanks.” She smiled. Just one year away from these children and they’re already looking different, looking more handsome and beautiful.
“And, she looks a bit like Noel too. I wonder if she behaves like her.” Snow whispered to Quinn, and Quinn smirked.
Quinn tapped Miguel and whispered into his ears. “You know how to annoy Noel right? Try annoying this lady over here. I miss Noel so much and since she looks like Noel, I want to at least witness her acting like Noel, if possible.”
Miguel nodded and smiled then picked up a pillow. Elena knew these kids were up to no good. What have they planned against her now? Maybe if she acts tough, they won’t dare look for her trouble.
Miguel threw a pillow at her and she frowned then glared at him.
“Mind yourself, young man.” She said.
“Why should I mind myself, Miss Elena. Are you jealous of me?” He asked in a way that will annoy her.
“Jealous of you? I can never be jealous of a ¢razy person like you.” She said and they laughed.
“At least I’m ¢razy and cute, but what about you?” Miguel asked.
“Are you trying to say that I’m ugly?” She asked.
“You said it yourself.” Miguel smirked at her.
Elena was annoyed. She took a pillow and threw it at him. The force made him fall off the couch because he was sitting at the edge before.
“Ouch!” He screamed as his bvtt h it the floor.
Elena couldn’t help but burst into laughter with Quinn and the rest.
“¢razy skirt!” Miguel snapped and they laughed at him.
She folded her hands and eyed him before facing the television, making them laugh again.
“It’s all Quinn’s fault that I h it my precious bvtt on the floor.” Miguel said and h it Quinn with a pillow.

Chapter 87
Quinn laughed and Elena knew that was a sincere laugh. She was happy that, at least her sister was surrounded with caring and crazy friends who would make her laugh all the time. She was surprised when Quinn stood up and came to sit beside her.
“Can I see your left hand?” She asked.
“Um, okay?” Elena answered, waiting to see what Quinn was up to.
Quinn pulled her pajamas away and looked at something then smiled. Her instinct has never been wrong, this was her sister, sitting right here, before her. What’s hurting her is that, her sister is bearing another name and having another look. But, her joy was that, she knew her sister so well, there must be a reason why she decided to do this. Damien was right, she was actually saved by someone.
“Can we talk? Outside? Alone?” Quinn asked.
Elena was hesitant. The way Quinn was behaving was giving her goosebumps. She sighed and stood up, Quinn held her hand and led her outside the mansion where no one would see orhear them.
“Okay, Missy, start talking.” Quinn said.
“Huh?” Elena was confused.
“What’s with the new look, red hair and stuff?” Quinn asked.
“I don’t understand what you’re talking about.” She said.
“Stop it! You suck at lying, Noel.” Quinn said and Elena gasped with widened eyes. She touched her mask to see if it was still on.
“Don’t worry, your ‘whatever’ you put on your face is still intact. Now, tell me everything.” Quinn said.
“You… You actually recognize me?” Elena asked, tears welling up in her eyes.
“I had my doubts but there was something I did to you that gave you a scar on your left hand.” Quinn said.
“How?” Elena asked.
“Remember the day you came back from school exhausted, removed your clothes with only your singlet on then plopped down on the couch? Well, I mistakenly injured you with a blade while struggling to untangle the ponytail in my hair.” Quinn said.
“That injury left a scar? How come I never noticed?” She asked.
“Because, you were careless?” Quinn teased.
Elena hugged her as tears rolled down her cheeks. “Nobody has been able to recognize me, not even Gray, mum, Austin or Scarlet, but you did.” She sniffed.
“I missed you so much, Noel. You have no idea what I went through.” Quinn said, shedding her own tears.
“I miss you all too.”
“Why didn’t come and see us? What’s going on?” Quinn asked.
“I will explain everything to you at the right time. All I can tell you is that I’m on a mission for revenge, I want to get back at the person who almost klled me. Don’t tell anyone about this okay?” Elena said.
“I’m curious but since, you’ll explain later, no problem. I won’t tell anyone.” Quinn said.
“Pinky promise?”
“Oh my gosh! You haven’t changed at all. Fine, pinky promise!” Quinn said and they laughed.
They hugged one more time before entering the house. Quinn was overjoyed but did her best to hide it. She couldn’t believe that her sister was alive! She would be able to eat very well now.
When they entered, Gray was coming down from the stairs. He was wearing a black jean trouser and sweater. His wet hair pasted on his forehead, giving him the sxy and bad boy look. Elena didn’t know when she started drooling, she was controlling herself from jumping on him and hugging him tight.
“If you’re done drooling, you can tell me.” Gray said and she blushed then hid her flushed face. He winked and went to the dining room.
“Does he know?” Quinn whispered.
“No, and it hurts like h’ll.” Elena said.
“Just hurry up with whatever plans you have, because Camille is trying to take him away from you. She is already coming to the Gerald’s mansion, claiming that she wants to marry Gray.” Quinn said and headed for the dining room too.
Elena blinked. “Marry my husband? Oh! She is so going down.” Elena muttered.
“Food is ready! Everyone, to the dining room!” Lia announced and Miguel came out with the rest. They all headed for the dining table. While they were eating, Gray’s eyes were on Elena the whole time, to see if she eats like Noel but unfortunately, she doesn’t. He sighed and continued with his food.
After dinner, Elena thanked them and headed home.

She entered the house and Lucas came to meet her.
“You spent almost 2 hours there.” Lucas whined.
“Sorry, I didn’t want to miss Lia’s cooking.” She said and Lucas laughed.
“No problem, I understand. Let’s go to the room, I have done the research.” He said.
“That’s why I love you, you’re dependable and trustworthy.” She said and ran upstairs.
Even though he knew the kind of love she was talking about, he couldn’t help but blush and smile widely. He followed her and they arrived in his room, where they met Annabella.
“Welcome back, sissy.” She said and smiled.
Elena smiled too and sat down beside Lucas infront of the computer.
“So, I did a research on Julie first. She is a Korean American. Her American name is Julie, while her Korean name is Eun Soo. She is 22 years old and was working with Camille. But, I couldn’t see any record about her from last year. So, I checked on Eun Soo and saw a record about her from last year. It’s totally confusing because she is same person.” Lucas said.
“Levi told me that, Camille klled Julie and Teresa before klling me which means that, Julie was able to survive then went to stay in Korea. But I think she is back, because Levi told me that, Camille was always complaining of seeing Julie in some places.” Elena said.
“Which means that, Julie is back for revenge as well.” Annabella said.
“Exactly. What about Silvia?”
“Silvia Henry, she is 24 years old and worked in Gray’s office. She didn’t get any job after she stopped working there, so she moved to Miami but returned this year.” Lucas said.
“Levi also said that, Silvia is working for Camille now which he believes isn’t with a free mind. He said that she was always talking about Teresa’s death, meaning that, Silvia is also planning on avenging Teresa’s death, so she is keeping Camille close and waiting for the right time to attack.” Elena said.
“Woah! This bitçh is really popular for her misdeeds.” Anabella laughed.
“And Chris Timon, he is 25 years old. He isn’t employed for now. I did another hacking stuff and saw photos of him and Camille being affectionate, I was able to save some of them. Camille paid him off so he could leave the child. In a journal, he wrote ‘I will return and take back what rightfully belongs to me. If she doesn’t love me anymore, she should at least give me my child.'” Lucas explained.
“Since, Chris wrote that, then he is obviously planning on taking the boy back. I think it’s high time he returns to claim what rightfully belongs to him.” Elena said.
“I think so, too.” Lucas said.
“I need to meet with Julie and Silvia soon. Were you able to get their location?” She asked.
“Yes boss.” He teased and she laughed.
“Why is Annabella quiet?” Elena asked and they turned and saw what she was doing. “Who is that for?” Elena asked.
“I am wrapping a very pleasant gift for Camille. She is going to love it sooo much.” Anabella said with a mischievous grin on her face.
“Will she survive this?” Elena asked.
“Of course she will. Thank God the powder itself is red, so the chilli powder in it won’t be visible. It’s the hottest and most painful chilli powder I could find,” She said and Elena gasped. “Don’t worry, I am not that wicked, she just won’t be able to use her eyes for a few days.” Annabella laughed.
“So, how are you going to deliver it?” Lucas asked.
“It will be a gift from Mr anonymous. Proud and sassy monkeys like her won’t be able to resist the latest brand of makeups. Besides, she would want to use it and please Gray.” Annabella said.
“You’re smart and mischievous.” Elena laughed.
“I know,” She said and stood up. “Let me get this delivered to her.” She said and left the room.
“Please, I need you to send an email to Flora Shay. Tell her to meet me in the company tomorrow, I need to teach her a lesson for joining hands with Camille to drug me.” Elena said.
“I wish I’ll be there to watch the whole drama.” Lucas said.
“I’ll secretly take a video. And, you know Annabella, I’m sure there is a video taking chip in that makeup kit.” Elena said and they laughed.

THE NEXT DAY
Flora called Camille that she was about leaving for the office, so Camille sent the drink which was already drugged to her, through Levi.
Levi returned home and saw Camille holding a very beautiful package.
“What is this?” He asked.
“I don’t know. It was delivered to me. I saw something written saying, from your secret admirer, I will reveal myself to you soon.” Camille read and Levi almost laughed.
How can a d’vil have a secret admirer? “Open and check what’s inside.” He said.
“This could be Chris trying to trick me.” She said.
“Open and check first.” He said.
Camille reluctantly unwrapped it and her eyes popped. “Wow! It’s the latest make up brand! This isn’t Chris! He can’t afford something like this! Wow! God bless this secret admirer of mine. I’m sure Gray won’t be able to resist me when I apply this.” She squealed.
Levi was surprised, this looked surreal. What!
Camille kept dancing around with the make up. “Let me go and freshen up, I will apply it to Gray’s office today, and also get the chance to see that miserable Elena embarrass herself.” She said and ran upstairs.
“This is not going to end well.” Levi said and sat down.
“Why is she so happy today?” Zara, who had tucked the baby in to sleep came downstairs.
“Someone bought her the latest brand of make up.” Levi said.
“Oh!” Zara said and sat down too.
Few minutes later, they heard Camille scream and ran upstairs to her room. Opening her room door, they saw her struggling to move.
“My eyes are on fire!” She cried.
They raised her up and made her sit on the bed. Her face was already red and her eyes couldn’t open.
“What happened?” Levi asked.
“I don’t know, I just applied the makeup and it was like my face is buried in chillli powder.” She cried.
Levi and Zara exchanged glances and laughed silently.
She screamed again. “My eyes! Oh no! I feel like I’m in fire! I don’t want to get blind!”

Flora knelt before Elena, pleading with the most saddest face and tears in her eyes.
Elena scoffed, she is such a good actress! Gray just sat down, watching to see if Elena would forgive her.
“Flora, stand up.” Elena said.
“No! I’m not going to stand up until you forgive me. I’m sorry, I’m sincerely sorry.” Flora said.
“Okay, I’ve heard you and I have forgiven you. You can stand up now.” Elena said.
“Thank you so much!” She stood up. “I bought a drink for you as a symbol of my apology. Please, have it.” Flora said and smiled.
Elena smirked and stood up. She adjusted her suit and catwalked to the door. She closed the door, locked it and took the keys then walked back to her seat. Gray didn’t want to talk, he was just observing to see what would happen next.
Elena collected the drink from Flora and opened it then stretched it out to her.
“Drink it!” She ordered and Flora gasped.
“Huh?” Flora was shocked as her heart started bea..ting fast against her ribcage.
“I’m sure that you aren’t de.af! I will say this for the last time, drink it!”

Chapter 88
“I’m sure that you aren’t deaf! I will say this for the last time, drink it!” Elena thundered and Flora shuddered. No doubt that she was scared out of her wits but that didn’t move Elena a bit.
“What’s going on?” Gray asked.
“I will only talk when she drinks it, and if she doesn’t drink it, I’m calling the police.” Elena said and picked up her phone.
“No! Not the police!” Flora starts crying.
“You have 10 seconds to do as I say, else, it’s prison for you. 1… 2… 3… 4… 5… 6… 7… 8…”
“Okay, I’ll drink it, I’ll drink it.” Flora said and collected it from Elena.
She gulped and opened it, her hand shivered as she tried to drink it. “Please, I can’t drink this.” Flora said.
“Did you po!son it or what? Why is it difficult for you to drink it?” Gray asked.
“I… I… I… Camille drugged it and gave it to me, so that I could give it to Elena, so that she would lose her job.” Flora said and Gray gasped.
“What kind of drug?” Gray asked.
“A… A… Aphrodisiac.” She said and Gray’s eyes widened.
“Aphrodisiac! Why? Go ahead and drink it then.” Gray said.
Tears rolled from her eyes as she emptied the bottle in her mouth. Elena sat down with a calm expression waiting for when the drama would start. Few minutes later, Flora started feeling hot and Elena noticed it. She stood up and went to Gray.
“Go out!” She said and gave him the key.
“Are you gonna be fine?” Gray asked.
“Yeah, I will. Now go before she lunge at you.” Elena said.
Gray smiled and collected the keys. He opened the door then threw them back at Elena before rushing out. Elena closed the door and locked it again. Flora started fanning herself because of the heat she was feeling. All she wanted was a man right now.
“Let me out, please.” She cried.
Elena stood there emotionless. Before coming to San Diego, she had vowed not to be merciful to anybody who crossed her path. She would make sure she dealt with all of them, she won’t be too lenient anymore. Maybe after she has taken her revenge on Camille, she would change to her self but now, she is merciless, ruthless and unsympathetic.
“I won’t let you go till you embarrass yourself. Next time, you would think twice before messing with me.” She said in an icy tone.
“Please, I’m sorry. I won’t cross your path from today onwards.” Flora begged.
Elena shook her head and went to sit on a chair watching her closely. She would move up and down with nothing to do. She picked up some of Gray’s files and started fanning herself. When the heat became unbearable, she ran into Gray’s office restroom. Elena knew what she went to do already, so she smiled and waited for her to come out.
She went to the door and opened it. Gray was still at the reception, waiting. When the door opened, he rushed in and was relieved to see that Elena was okay.
“You’re okay.” He said.
“Were you worried?” She asked and smirked.
“Yes,” He answered and looked around after closing the door. “Where is she?” Gray asked.
“In the restroom.” Elena answered and sat down.
Gray gasped. “Is she doing what I think that she’s doing?” He asked.
“What do you expect?” Elena chuckled.
“How did you find out?” Gray asked.
“A little birdie told me.” She smiled mischievously and crossed her legs.
Gray watched her in surprise. Who exactly is this lady? He sat down and after few minutes, Flora walked out. Her hair was already scattered and sweat was all over her body. She was too ashamed to look at Elena or Gray. “I’m so sorry.” She muttered in tears and ran out shamefully. The employees saw her running out and gasped.
“I am sure this is all Elena’s doing.” One said.
“I agree with you. Gosh! Who could imagine the almighty Flora crying because of her.” Another said.
“I’m so scared of her. Do you know that she made Debby write a compulsory resignation letter?”
“So, Debby is no longer working here.”
“You guys should stop talking about her if you want to keep your jobs.”
They all returned to their duty posts.
“You let her go?” Gray asked.
“Yeah. She isn’t my target, Camille is who I want to teach a lesson. I hope you don’t mind, since she is the mother of your child.” Elena said.
“She is the mother of my child but she isn’t my wife. Do whatever you like with her but don’t hurt the baby.” Gray said.
“Sure.” Elena smirked.
“I’m starting to get scared of you. Are you a mafia’s daughter by any chance?” He asked and she laughed.
“What do you think?” She asked and he pressed his lips together, making him look cute.
“I have doubts.” He said and she smiled.
“I am not a mafia’s daughter, neither am I wicked. I just repay people who mess with me with the worst.” She said and faced her work.

Levi and Zara had helped her washed the face but not after laughing at her. She opened the eyes a bit but it was bIoodshot red. She cried while cvrsing whoever bought that make up for her.
“Levi, call Gray, put it on video call and tell him what has happened to me.” She said.
“Okay, ma’am.” He answered and picked up her laptop. He set the laptop in front of her and placed the call. Gray answered the phone with a frown on his face.
“Gray_”
“Don’t you dare call my name. How could you be so cruel?” Gray asked.
“What are you talking about?” She asked.
“Stop acting like you know nothing about what I’m talking about. Why would you send Flora to drug Elena?” He asked.
Camille creased her brows. Why would Flora tell them that she was the one? Wait… This means that her plan failed? That alone brought tears down from her eyes.
Elena’s faced popped up on the screen. “Wow! Camille, you look fabulous.” She teased.
“So, you’re responsible for this right? I’ll pay you back!” She yelled and Elena laughed.
“Don’t worry, I’m sending more. Watch and see how I’m going to deal with you, you’ll wish you were never born.” Elena said and before Camille could talk, she hung up.
Camille kicked the laptop, sending it to the floor and smashing it.
“I hate her! I hate her to the core! She’s making me go ¢razy!!!” She yelled.
Levi and Zara said nothing but laughed silently.

AUSTIN’S HOUSE
Austin was in the living room watching TV when he heard a knock on the door. He stood up and went to open it. He was surprised to see Scarlet, he couldn’t remember the last time she came to visit him since he moved to his own house.
“Scarlet.” He called.
“Can I come in?” She asked and he nodded.
She came in and sat down on the blue leather couch. She gestured for him to sit beside her and he did.
“Let me get you something to drink.” He said.
“There won’t be any need for that. Actually, I came to tell you something.” She said.
Austin got scared, is she trying to break up with him?
“Are you going to break up with me? Please, don’t. I won’t be able to take it. Whatever happens, we can make things right. I love you so much, please don’t leave me.” Austin said, holding her hands. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she saw how much he cared about her and their relationship. All that would end once she told him her past.
“It’s not that,” She said. “I did something terrible and… and… I don’t know if you can ever forgive me.” She said.
“Go ahead and tell me. I’ll forgive you because I love you and can’t bear seeing you like this.” He said.
“Few years ago, at Jeti’s club…” She narrated everything to him and his eyes widened.
“What! You ab©rted the baby?” He asked.
“It was a mistake. I didn’t know the drink given to me would ab©rt the baby. I’m sorry.” She cried.
“Did you say Jeti’s club? School debate celebration?” He asked.
“Yes.” She answered.
“I’m sorry as well.” He said.
“What are you talking about?” She asked. All she knew was that, she was the one who should be apologizing.
“I was the guy who slept with you that night,” Scarlet gasped. “I wasn’t in my senses either. I was drugged by my friends too. All I could remember was sIeeping with someone that night but I couldn’t see your face. I’m sorry.” He knelt down but she raised him up.
“I’m the one that should be sorry for ab©rting our child. What a small world! Who knew I’ll later fall in love with same guy I lost my vrgnity to.” She said. She knew that she should be angry but she couldn’t bring herself to do it. She was happy that he was the one, considering how much love he had shown her so far.
“You’re not angry?” He asked.
“You weren’t in your senses either. I am not angry but relieved to have fallen in love with you.” She said and hugged him.
“You don’t know how relieved I am to hear that.” He said and kssed her forehead.
“Same here. I was so scared of what you’ll say, that’s why I avoided you all these while. Thanks to Elena, I was able to build up the courage.” She said.
“I love you, Scarlet.”
“I love you more, Austin.”

After work and dinner, Elena, Lucas and Annabella were watching the video of Camille dancing to the chilli sting. Elena was right. Annabella did put a chip in there.
“Oh my gosh! This is internet gold.” Elena said.
“Look at how red her face is.” Lucas laughed.
“This gives me an idea.” Annabella said and took her phone. She posted the video using an anonymous account on many social media platforms.
“Annabella!!!” Elena screamed.
“That’s what she gets for messing with the people I love.” Annabella said.
“She won’t be able to leave her house for a week.” Lucas laughed.
They watched Flora’s own and laughed too.
“She looked like a str!pper, Gosh!” Lucas laughed.
“This is small to what I’ll continue doing. Those that messed with me will get it hot hot.” Elena said and they laughed.

A DAY LATER
Camille almost went ¢razy when she saw her video online, she saw how people were laughing and making fun of her. She was taken to a hospital and the eyes got treated. She dressed up and took a sun glass then rushed to the company. Luckily, she saw Elena about to enter the company and called her.
Elena turned and smiled. “I can see you wearing sunglasses in the morning, Camille.” She said and laughed.
“What would you gain by doing all these?” Camille asked.
“Revenge for Noel.” Elena answered simply and Camille frowned.
“Aren’t you tired of fighting for the dead?” Camille asked.
Elena packed her hair in a ponytail and smiled at Camille.
“I won’t rest till Noel gets the justice she deserves. Do you think I don’t have the evidence of all your atrocities? Do you think shutting Scarlet up and blackmailing Gray will stop me?” Elena asked.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Camille faced the other way.
She didn’t know why she couldn’t look Elena straight in the eyes, sometimes she would feel like getting burned while looking at them.
“Keep pretending that you don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m sure you know me too well Camille, it won’t be easy to kll me, same way it wasn’t easy for you to kll Noel but trust me, I am ten times ¢razier than Noel so, klling me will be like pouring water on a stone.” Elena said and laughed at Camille’s confused expression.
“What are you saying? Who told you all these?” Camille asked.
“I have my ways, Camille. You better watch your back, you might not know what hit you.” Elena chuckled and left, leaving Camille who was still trying to digest everything.
“I’m going ¢razy!” Camille yelled as tears rolled down her cheeks.

Chapter 89
She wanted to go into the company but was contemplating on how to face Gray when she gets there. She changed her mind and turned back, thinking of better ways to deal with Elena. That lady cannot burst out of nowhere and make her life miserable. She wiped her tears and entered her car before driving off.
Elena entered the company and majority of the employees adjusted in their seats. No one dared to talk to her. All they could do was whisper among themselves, so that she wouldn’t hear them. She walked into the elevator with her head high and with a lot of confidence.
The elevator door was about to close but Scarlet stopped it. All the employees gasped, thinking that Scarlet would be in bug trouble but to their surprise, Elena smiled lovingly at Scarlet.
“Good morning, babe.” She said and stepped out.
“Morning! I slept well, how about you?” Scarlet asked.
“I did too. You look really happy today, come and tell me everything.” Elena said.
“Let’s go to my office.” Scarlet said and they entered the elevator, taking it to Scarlet’s office.
The employees who had witnessed what happened widened their eyes in shock. They didn’t know Elena could smile like that, she was always putting on a cold and serious face with an unapproachable aura. They concluded that she and Scarlet were friends before proceeding with whatever they were doing.

“You said that we would be going to your office.” Elena said.
“Yeah, this is my office.” Scarlet said and opened the door.
“No, this is Austin’s office.” Elena said.
“Come and sit down first, I’ll tell you everything.” Scarlet said and sat down.
Elena sat down too. “I’m listening.” She said and Scarlet smiled.
“Well, I finally spoke to Austin and guess what?”
“What?” She smiled.
“He…” Scarlet told Elena all that happened and Elena beamed.
“Really! Wow! Congratulations.” She said.
“Thanks. I just want to appreciate you for the advice you gave me. It really worked and I don’t know how to thank you enough.” Scarlet said.
“That’s what friends are for.” Elena said.
“Yeah. So, tell me, aren’t you in any relationship?” Scarlet asked.
“I’m in none at the moment.” Elena answered.
“What? A beautiful lady like you isn’t in any relationship yet?” Scarlet asked rhetorically and Elena shrugged. “But, you have someone you are crushing on or you’ve come to love right?” Scarlet asked.
She nodded. “Yes.”
“Who is the lucky guy?” Scarlet asked.
Elena wanted to lie but since Scarlet had been free with her and told her so many things, she needed to tell her the truth.
“Gray.” She answered and Scarlet gasped.
“Gray?” She asked to be sure.
“Yeah. It’s awkward right? Falling in love with someone who you met a month ago.” Elena said.
“It’s possible. Love is a complicated thing you know. Gray has gone through a lot in love, so I can’t guarantee if he loves you or not. I know he likes you since you’ve lasted j in his office unlike the many people that worked here. But, I trust you’ll do great. He will fall for you in no time. He has a soft heart.” Scarlet said.
“I’ll try my best.” She said and they laughed.
“You have to get going now, before he comes looking for you.” Scarlet said.
“Yeah. See you at lunch.” Elena said and walked out.

She got to the office and Gray looked at her questionably.
“I went to Scarlet’ s office.” She said.
He had seen her through the camera and thought that she was going to lie but here she was, proving him wrong again. He simply nodded and she went to sit down.
“Elena?” He called.
“Yes, sir.” She answered and looked at him.
“Can I ask you a question?”
“Sure.”
“Who was Noel to you?” He asked.
“Like I said earlier, she is my friend. We got along when I led them on a tour.” Elena answered.
“All these thing you’re doing, are you like punishing people because of her?” Gray asked and she kept quiet. She started thinking of what to say.
“Um… I love Noel alot. She was the reason why I decided to move to San Diego in the first place. Getting here and hearing the shocking news about her death angered me. What made me furious was that, she was klled and I’m set to avenge her de..ath.” She said.
“So, you’re transferring that anger to others?” He asked.
“Those people that got my wrath aren’t innocent either.” She said.
“But_”
“Mr Gray, please, let’s talk about this later. I really have a lot to think of right now, plus I’m hungry.” She said.
“Should I get you something to eat then?” He asked and she smiled.
“Yes. You’ll be the one to cook it, I really miss your…” She trailed off when she realized what she was about to say.
“Miss my what?” Gray asked.
“Your… erm… Like, what I meant to say is that, I haven’t tasted your good before. I thought you were my brother, so I wanted to say I miss your cooking.” She said and laughed, hoping he would buy her lie. Gray just smiled.
“What would you like to take?” He asked.
“Since, it’s still early, I would like to take cornflakes.” She said.
Gray sighed. This reminded him of Noel, he loved how she complimented the cornflakes he made for her. “Alright, I’ll be right back.” He said and left the office.
After he left, Elena let her tears roll down. “I’m sorry for hurting you like this. I’ll make you happy very soon, I promise. I can’t stand you being like this, I really can’t but I have no choice now.” She said and took her phone. She texted a message to Lucas, telling him to arrange a meeting for her with Silvia and Julie in a private restaurant by 2pm that afternoon. He would meet her in the company and they would leave together. He texted her back with an ok and thumbs up emoji. She smiled, cleaned her tears and dropped her phone.
Gray came back few minutes later with a cup of cornflakes. He noticed the change in her mood and asked. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine.” She smiled at him but it was obvious that it didn’t reach her eyes. Gray didn’t want to bother her so he gave her the cornflakes. “Here.” He said and went to sit down.
“Thanks.” She said and picked it up. She tasted it and smiled, she really missed his cornflakes. It tasted just like she remembers. Gray sat and watched her eating it cutely. He didn’t know when he smiled at how adorable she looked.
“Who made this? This is so good!” She complimented and he smiled. “You made this? Wow! I wish I can take this everyday.” She said.
“It’s possible.” He muttered and smiled.
“Have you eaten?” She asked.
“Not yet.” He said.
“You need to eat too.” She said.
“Don’t worry, I’m fine.” He said.
“No, you’re not. Don’t starve yourself please, it isn’t good for your health. Wait! I’ll go get you food from the cafeteria.” She said and rushed out before he could say anything.
Gray smiled. So, she actually cared about him. He smiled again wondered what was even wrong with him.
She got back later and dropped the food on his table. “How did you know what I like eating?” He asked.
“Stop asking questions and eat.” She said and went to continue eating her cornflakes. Gray looked at her but her attention was already on the cornflakes she was holding. He sighed and started eating.

Julie and Silvia were watching the video and laughing so hard. It had already gone viral that the daughter of Evan got chilli powdered by a makeup given to her by a secret admirer.
“She is totally going ¢razy as we speak.” Silvia who had gone to see her said.
“Whoever did this is blessed. I’ll do hug the person if I meet him or her one day.” Julie said.
“I can’t stop laughing at how red her face is.” Silvia said.
“What if it’s that lady you met at Food Palace the other day?” Julie asked.
“I thought about same thing. The way she talked to Camille that day was like she had known her for a very long time. There was hatred in the manner she talked to Camille.” Silvia said.
“I wish we could meet her one day. She deserves a hug and handshake.” Julie said and they laughed.
Suddenly, a message popped up on the phone. Silvia read it aloud and they exchanged looks.
“Could she be the one?” Julie asked.
“It’s a probability.” Silvia shrugged.
“Quick! Quick! Let’s get ready. We wouldn’t wanna disappoint her, if she is after Camille then we are so lucky.” Julie said and they ran to their bedrooms to prepare.

“So, you’re trying to say that your brother is coming to pick you up and is taking you somewhere?” Gray asked after she told him.
“Yes. Please, just let me go for today. I’ll work till late at night tomorrow to make up.” Elena said.
“Oh really?” Gray said.
“Yes.” She answered.
“Alright. When is your brother coming?” Gray asked.
“He should be here any moment from now.” She said.
“Okay.”

Lucas drove into the company with Annabella and tried Elena’s line but it wasn’t reachable. He left Annabella in the car then entered the company. Immediately he entered, the female employees shrieked in amazement.
“Purr! Who is this demi god?”
“OMG! And I thought our CEO was hot.”
“To be honest, I don’t know who is more handsome right now. I am so confused!”
“He should be a model. Are you seeing that kller body?”
“Gosh! And his smile.”
The female employees murmured non stop which disgusted the males who burned with jealousy. Lucas didn’t know the way, so he tapped a lady who was busy on her laptop to ask for directions.
“Please, can you please direct me to the office of Mr Gray?” He asked and she almost went crazy.
“Y… Yes… Yes. Just take this elevator to the 31st floor.” She said, looking at him dreamily.
“Thanks.” He smiled and left while she almost collapsed in her chair. She looked at where he touched her and smiled, she would never wash that jacket again.
Lucas was about to open the elevator when another opened and Elena stepped out with Gray. “I heard screaming and knew you were in the building.” She said, holding his hand.
“Yeah. Good day Mr Gray.” He greeted.
“Good day. Where is my baby girl?” Gray asked, referring to Annabella.
“She slept off while I was driving here, so I left her in the car.” Lucas answered.
“Oh okay. I’ll come see her later then. You guys should go well.” He smiled, shocking the employees who were spectating more.
“We will.” Elena smiled and they left. Gray entered and took the elevator back to his office. Now, his office was going to be very boring since she isn’t around. The employees couldn’t believe what they saw. They received a lot of shockers today.

Levi parked the car and woke Annabella. They walked into the restaurant and went straight to the table where Julie and Silvia were already seated, waiting for them.
She sat down and they exchanged pleasantries. The booked the restaurant for only themselves that night.
“It’s so nice to finally meet you, Miss Elena.” Silvia said.
Elena frowned at the Miss in her name but decided to let it slide. “Yeah. So, I heard that you two are after Camille as well.” She said.
“Yes. We are owing her deep and wicked lessons and can’t wait to pay her back.” Julie answered.
“So, tell me what she has done to you.” Elena said.
Julie narrated her story first then Silvia narrated hers. Elena smiled.
“Tell us yours.” Julie requested.
“Before that, I want to show you girls something.” She said.
“Hope it isn’t something bad because I’m kinda scared of you.” Silvia said.
Elena chuckled. “No it isn’t.” She said and then, slowly and steadily, she removed her mask.
Silvia and Julie gasped.

Chapter 90
Elena chuckled. “No it isn’t.” She said and then, slowly and steadily, she removed her mask.
Silvia and Julie gasped.
“Noel!!!” They screamed and was about to run.
“Stop!” She ordered and they stopped in their tracks. “I’m not a ghost, okay? You can feel and touch me.” She said.
Julie was about to go but Silvia dragged her back. “Do you want to d!e?” Silvia asked.
“Let’s just give it a try, since she came with people.” Julie said.
“What if those people are also ghosts?” Silvia asked, clinging to Julie’s arm.
“Let’s see first.” Julie said and took slow strides to where Elena was sitting. She touched Elena’s arm and shrieked. “She’s real! She is so real!” She hugged Elena immediately.
Silvia touched her too and smiled. “You’re alive! How is this possible?” She asked.
“It’s a long story.” She said.
“Please, tell us.” Julie said and withdrew from the hug before sitting down.
Elena narrated her story, starting from how Camille kidnapped her to how she got shot and Lucas saved her, then others about how she has returned for her revenge.
“Jeez! You were in coma, for a year!” Silvia exclaimed.
“Yeah. All thanks to them,” She pointed to Lucas and Annabella who waved. “I’m still alive.” She said.
“Wow! Thank you two.” Julie said.
“You’re welcome.” Lucas smiled and she blushed.
“I want to make Camille pay for everything she has done to me. She can’t live her life happily after putting Gray and my parents in pains. I want her to suffer more than I did, I want to suffer and beg for de..ath.” Elena said in a dangerous tone, and they shuddered. Silvia couldn’t believe how much she had changed. The Noel she knew wasn’t this merciless.
“We want her to suffer as well. We are ready to work with you, and bring her down.” Julie said.
“Good! What have you guys been doing?” Elena asked.
“Well, we’ve been acting like ghosts, and it seemed to drive her ¢razy.” Silvia said and Elena smirked.
“How about we give her two ghosts this time around?” Elena asked.
“That’s awesome! I can’t wait to see her reaction.” Julie said.
“How are we going to pull this off?” Silvia asked.
“I have a master hacker here,” She pointed at Lucas. “The night we are to do that, he will hack into the electrical systems in her home. Her electrical appliances will start working on their own, she would hear strange noises then we are going to appear.” Elena said.
“That plan is awesome. Do you know the exact place she shot you?” Julie asked.
“I can never forget it.” Elena said.
“I can’t wait!” Silvia squealed.
“Before I forget, were you responsible for the makeup incident with Camille?” Julie asked.
“Nope! It was all Annabella’s doing.” Elena said.
Julie and Silvia faced Annabella. “You did that? Come give me a hug!” Julie said and Annabella hugged her.
“You’re really beautiful.” She whispered into Julie’s ears and Julie smiled.
Annabella returned to her seat and smiled at them. She hit Lucas on the shoulder and winked. He understood what she was trying to say and poked her forehead.
“Leave me alone!” He said and she laughed.
They talked about other things before Elena left with Lucas and Annabella after putting on her mask.
“I can’t believe it! Noel is actually alive!” Julie said as they walked to their own car.
“Same here! I’m so happy for Gray. He would be so glad when she finally reveals herself to him.” Silvia said.
“Uh-huh! Did you see the guy that came with her?” Julie asked.
“Yeah. What about him?” She asked.
“He’s dreamy and cute.” Julie said and Silvia laughed.
“Don’t tell me you’re falling already?”
Julie didn’t answer but smirked and entered the car. “He is so mine!” She muttered and Silvia laughed again.
“Let me be, Anna.” Lucas complained.
“Come on! Pick one already. You’re still single.” Annabella said as they drove to Chris house, prior to Elena’s instructions.
“I’ll date when I find someone I like.” He said.
“Those ladies are very beautiful, especially Julie. Just look at her flawless and white skin, she would be a good match for you.” Annabella said.
“I don’t like her.” Lucas said.
“You just met her for the first time, Lucas. Feelings develop with time.” Elena chimed in.
“I believe in love at first sight.” He said.
“Stop being a sassy teenager, and love someone already!” Annabella yelled at him and Elena laughed.
“Don’t worry. He won’t know when the love angel will visit him.” Elena said.
Annabella smiled and he rolled his eyes.

They entered without any hindrance, since there were no security personnels there. They got out of the car and walked to his door then knocked gently.
After few minutes, the door was opened, and he came out with a surprise look on his face. No one has visited him in a while so he was shocked to see prominent looking personalities in front of his door. Being a kind and hospitable person, he led them in and gave them seats after which they introduced themselves.
“You’re welcome, once again.” Chris said.
“Thank you.” They answered.
“What can I offer you?” He asked.
“Nothing, sir. We aren’t gonna stay long.” Elena said.
He nodded.
“Do you know Camille Evans?” Lucas asked.
“Are you guys police officers?” He asked.
“Not at all. We have a job, and we want you to carry it out. The pay is quite huge.” Lucas said.
“What kind of job?” Chris asked.
“Taking your son away from her.” Lucas said and Chris gasped.
“My son? How did you guys know she is carrying my son?” He asked.
“That’s not for us to explain. We are also aware that you wanted to take your son with you but she paid you off. Now, we are here to pay you triple of what she has, so you can go back and claim back your son.” Lucas said.
“I would love to but Gray already believes that the child is his.” Chris said.
“That’s the reason why we need your help. We are going to do a DNA test to prove that.” Elena said.
“Really? You would do that for me?” He asked and they nodded. “I will do it, I’ll claim my son back. When do we start?” He asked.
“Immediately! We haven’t got much time.” Lucas said.
“I’ll cooperate with you. I’m ready to do whatever you ask me to do. You know, I loved Camille so much even before she started courting Gray. She wasn’t this way but greed has turned her to a d’vil. I don’t care if she doesn’t love me anymore, all I want is my son.” Chris said.
“And we are going to help you with that. No one is to know about this plan except us.” Lucas said.
“You can count on me.” Chris smiled.
“Good, now read and sign this contract. Once the job is done, you can have your child and enough money to take care of him.” Lucas said, shifting a paper and pen to him.
He signed it happily and they smiled. After a while, they left. Chris was so happy that he was finally going to take his son back.
“Are you sure we can trust him?” Annabella asked after they entered the car.
“He is already bound by our contract. He can’t betray us, and if he does, I’ll deal mercilessly with him then fine him for breaching the contract.” Elena said.
“Smart.” Annabella smiled.
“So, how are we going to get a sample of the baby’s hair?” Lucas asked.
“I’ll do that whenever she comes to the company with the baby or when haunting her.” Elena said and they laughed.

Elena was about entering the company, and came face to face with Camille who was holding the baby.
“Witch!” Camille snapped.
“Your baby is too cute. He looks a lot like Chris,” She said and Camille gasped. “Also, I pity him for having a she-d’vil as a mother.”
Camille gasped and was about to sIap Elena when the baby slipped from her hand. Elena was fast enough to catch the baby, and used that opportunity to remove a hair. Her finger nails mistakenly grazed the baby’s delicate skin, giving him a tiny bruise on the arm.
Elena held the baby to herself while he wiggled his legs and laughed happily. “Are you so careless that you can’t even protect your child?” Elena snapped at her.
Camille dragged the baby from her and saw the bruise. She smiled wickedly. “Today is your last day in this office.” Camille said and ran to Gray’s office.
Elena ruffled her hair, and stared at the baby’s hair in her hands. “At least, I’ve gotten you. All I need now is a sample of Gray’s hair and Chris hair too.” She said and went inside.

She entered Gray’s office and saw Camille crying profusely. This lady was such a drama queen! She saved Camille’s baby, and there she was laying accusations on her. She saw how displeased Gray was, and sighed before walking to her desk.
“Here she is!” Camille wailed.
“Elena, why did you do this?” Gray asked.
“Do what? I don’t understand what you’re talking about.” She said.
“Quit the pretence, witch!” Camille snapped, still shedding her crocodile tears.
“Why did you hurt Camille’s baby?” Gray asked.
“Is that what she told you?” Elena scoffed, and sat down.
“Can you see how arrogant and wicked she is? She hurt my baby with her nails intentionally, and isn’t bothered about it.” Camille yelled.
“Calm down, Camille.” Gray begged.
“Don’t tell me to calm down! Don’t! Do you know the pains I went through to conceive this child? Does she know what it feels like to be pregnant for months? She wants to kill my baby! She is just jealous of me.” Camille yelled, crying even louder.
“Camille, why are you like this? What are you going to gain by doing this? I don’t pity you at all, I pity only the child.” Elena said.
“You see how sassy she is. You know what I can do, Gray. I won’t let this slide at all, I won’t! You must fire her, else!” She yelled and started walking away.
“Camille,” Gray called but she ignored and left. Gray faced Elena angrily, “How can you be so cruel and mean?” Gray yelled at her.
“She deserved whatever she got Gray.” Elena answered calmly.
“You have the guts to call me by my name? I am your boss!” Gray yelled.
“A boss who became gullible due to desperation, a boss who couldn’t stand up for himself and allow himself get blackmailed, a boss who has forgotten about the promises he made to his lover_”
“Don’t you dare mention anything concerning Noel ever again. Do you know how much I have suffered? I tried to move on but I just can’t. I know you love Noel so much but she’s de..ad now, it’s been a year and six months but no sign of her. Leave me to accept fate Elena, stop bothering me.” Gray said, his tears were already flowing down.
“I understand your hurt Gray, I mean boss but you can’t keep being weak. You have to put Camille in her place, she needs someone to change her diapers and that someone is you.”
“Yes, she is wrong but you shouldn’t have gone to the extent of hurting her baby,” Gray said, “That baby is mine.”
Elena felt her heart squeeze, trying so hard to control her anger. She felt like sIapping some sense into him. Why must he try to make her plans go to waste, and all her efforts in vain? She bit her lower lip angrily.
“Mr. Gray, the sooner you start taking the bull by the horn, the better for you. I’ll advise you do a DNA test.” Elena said.
“I’ve done that already.” He replied.
“And?” Elena asked in anticipation.
“The child is mine.” Gray said.
“Fk!” Elena stormed out of the office, and went to the restroom. She slammed the door shut and ruffled her hair. “Camille! I will show you what it means to die while you’re still alive!”
