Petrol Floods The Streets But Nigerians Say No Thanks – Comic Actor, Saka

Saka Actor

Ace actor Hafiz Oyetoro aka Saka has noticed that Nigerians are no longer queuing up for fuel even as it is now abundant.

His statement comes after a number of Nigerians decided to reduce their petrol dependence following the removal of fuel subsidy that made the price of petrol go through the roof.

In his usual hilarious way, in a video while cruising, the seasoned comedian asked Nigerians what was going on wondering if there was a crisis.

He said: “Hello people! Petrol full everywhere. Nobody wan buy petrol. Wetin dey happen?” before cracking up.

Since the removal of fuel subsidy, the removal of fuel subsidy and the hike in prices, the average amount of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) aka petrol consumption in Nigeria plunged from 66 million litres per day (ml/d) to over 40 ml/d in June 2023 for several reasons

According to the Major Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) Executive Secretary, Clement Isong, the drop was because customers changed their habits.

He also noted the consumption fell by over 20% because the prices skyrocketed and Nigeria’s neighbours to whom it was smuggled have switched to alternative sources.
