The next day morning which was the fourth day in the forest, the maidens woke up from sleep and found out that princess nneka was missing among them, they searched for her around that place and also called her name but she was no where to be found, so they decided to continue their journey since they didn't see her, they haven't gone far, when they saw princess nneka's dead body on the ground which was torn into pieces with maggot coming out from it, as the maidens saw this, they screamed and mourned for princess nneka there, after that they continue their journey.

As they were going in a sad mood, suddenly someone called obiageli from behind and the maidens all turned back to know who was that, and to their surprise they saw a handsome man standing, he was naked and was looking at the maidens smiling
Young man : (smiling) obiageli my love come to me, I really like you alot, I know you like me too and I also know that you like what you are seeing, or don't you like it?
Chika : Obiageli Ignore him and let's go (and they turn to leave)
Young man : please obiageli my love don't listen to her, she is jealous because she's not the one that am after, please don't go (he said and obiageli stopped)
Chika : obiageli don't listen to him, he is an evil spirit, remember what Okakamuo told us, please let's go
Ifeoma : (looking at him) but the man is very handsome
Amuche : And also he is handsome down there too, I would have want this type of man to disvirgin me, he is too handsome to resist (she said and smiled at him)
Chika: you people should stop all this and let's go (she shouted at them, and then they ignored the man and continue their journey, but to their surprise the man was following them, they ignored and continue going)
Young Man : obiageli my love please wait for me, my love! my love!! (He called still following them, but obiageli ignored him and likewise the other maidens, when the man saw that obiageli pay no attention to him, he went closer to obiageli and hit her on her buttocks, this got obiageli angry and she slapped him, but immediately she slapped him, that particular hand cut off and she screamed in pains, while the young man disappeared instantly, when the maidens saw this they took to their heels)

They continue to run, they ran and ran, until they got to a point and obiageli stopped because she was getting weak, due to the blood she was loosing on her hand
Obiageli : I don't think I can continue this journey with you maidens because am too weak to move further, you have to go without me
